They might be the cheapest meal kit delivery, but they are absolutely not trustworthy. My first box, they had forgotten to send an important ingredient without which one of the dishes would not have been possible. The next week, they top that performance by forgetting to send the box itself! They did not send any notification to inform me that they could not send the box, no alternatives, nothing! I did not even get a mail for tracking my box, so I rushed home from work during my lunch break, because I thought the box would be sitting outside in the heat. Upon reaching, I did not find the box. I called them up only to find that they did not even send my box to logistics!!! For a... Read More

Dinnerly started out great, but quality soon declined. I received rotten (black, slimy) vegetables many weeks in a row, and when that was finally sorted out, my next two deliveries were missing crucial items. I cancelled my subscription because it wasn't worth the frustration of receiving spoiled or missing items.

We were first time Dinnerly customers and were very optimistic. Not anymore. The box is two days late. I contacted customer service and they said that is a problem with their shipping partner, not them. Ok. Well I never signed off on this shipping partner., so it is Dinnerly’s problem. They honestly were trying to say they put the ingredients in the box and whether that box gets to us or not, not their problem! They just kept saying “you will receive the box eventually with the freshest ingredients.” Ok but now we are going on vacation this weekend. Doubt those ingredients will be fresh when we get back. I pushed for compensation or a refund and the agent said “I’m in Portugal, I can only... Read More

I am amazed to see these ratings (must be from management of Dinnerly) I have used 4 different delivery services and have to say Dinnerly has to be the worst. ( we switched because they were cheaper and now I know why) We have been with them 3 weeks (that's 9 meals) Out of the 9 meals 3 have been complete. ALL of the other 6 have had NUMEROUS missing ingredients! I believe in giving them a chance but good grief, This is ridiculous.

Missing Ingredients and Disappointing Customer Service Boxes get cancelled without warning, yet funds have been captured. Customer service operators are rude and do not follow through on promises for credits on the missing ingredients. Spend the dollars and use a service like HelloFresh its well worth it instead of having to deal with the incompetency of Dinnerly/Marley Spoon

We enjoyed our first week of Dinnerly - the meals were good and we were happy to try a second week. Unfortunately we were missing ingredients from all three recipes in our second box. We contacted customer service and they offered a small partial refund. Since ingredients were missing from every recipe, we requested a full refund and spoke with a manager. They replied that they could only give the small refund. Due to the delay of needing to go to the store for missing ingredients (we don't live near a grocery store), additional ingredients went bad before we were able to make all three meals. What is the point of having a meal subscription service if I have to anticipate there will... Read More

I have to say that at first this was great... However, in the second week of our service we skipped our delivery and Dinnerly would not honor that request and sent us the meals anyway. When I contacted them I was informed by Customer Service that there is nothing that could be done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that they do not take phone calls. We enjoyed the food but the customer service is horrible. I even explained that we skipped it because we were not going to be home for several days and they did not care. They took the money out of our account and refused to refund it. Then continued and asked for the date and time that I attempted to skip my delivery so that... Read More

We’ve tried MANY different meal delivery services- Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, Purple Carrot, Home Chef. Dinnerly is not only more affordable but REALLY easy and DELICIOUS!!! We’ve had it for 2 months and have yet to get a recipe we didn’t like/love. I’m not one to write reviews about anything but I HAD to do this for Dinnerly because it’s half the cost of the other services but no sacrifice on variety and taste. They are able to cut costs by not printing recipe cards (go online or use app) and don’t include butter, sugar, flour etc but these are things you have in your pantry anyway. You won’t regret this service!

Saw an Instagram ad for Dinnerly and was drawn in because of the lower price. I've ended up paying more than I would a Marley Spoon or Hello Fresh. First delivery - they forgot to pack the chicken for a chicken salad (we got $6 credit for a next box) Second delivery - our plans changed last minute and we could receive the delivery at our address, so we called to have the box redirected. We called, gave them the new address, they said "sure, easy" and then never redirected it. We came back from a weekend away to a rotting box outside our apartment. I got a response from the customer service rep and he said "you need to give us six days' notice to change your delivery address". Well... Read More

TERRIBLE!! There is no way to cancel your subscription online. You may think your canceling when you select the reason why you chose not to continue and after you get a message of "sorry to see you go" but it's all for show. They will still charge you UNTIL you call (which you don't know until several charges later). What a dishonest way to do business. I will never use this meal service again. BEWARE!!
