Casper sells three mattress models: The Wave, The Casper, and The Essential. The Essential measures 11" in height and features three layers composed of a mix of foams that provide both comfort and support. The Casper, the company's most popular model, is 12" high and features four layers, including one that varies in firmness according to the area of the body that would typically rest on it. Finally, The Wave has a height of 13" and features five layers, which includes the targeted support layer mentioned above, as well as additional layers that contour to the sleeper's body to relieve pressure points and align the spine. All three mattresses are made from several foams, including latex foam, which is certified by Certi-PUR and Oeko-Tex, and include a top cooling layer allowing for the circulation of air. Casper says the mattress cover is made of an upholstery-grade knit textile (90% polyester, 2% spandex) that provides more flexibility and less wrinkling. In addition to mattresses, Casper makes a whole suite of bedding and bed-related products, including frames, foundations, adjustable bases, sheets, pillows, and dog beds.

Casper offers customers a 10-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects on all its mattresses. Since Casper is an online company, they also extend a 100-night home trial for all their products, with a full refund if the customer is not satisfied. White glove delivery is available in some locations, which includes the installation of the new mattress and the removal of the old one. Otherwise, the mattress is shipped in a box which the customer can open to allow the bed to regain its shape over a few hours.

From Casper's website: "This limited Mattress Warranty applies to the following Defects: —Deterioration causing the Mattress to have a visible indentation greater than one (1) inch that is not associated with an indentation or sag which results from use of an improper or unsupportive foundation or adjustable bed base. Normal wear requires that a Mattress be continuously supported by a matching foundation or adjustable bed base with a proper bed frame sufficient to support the collective weight of the Mattress and foundation. —Any physical flaw in the Mattress that causes the foam material to split or crack, despite normal usage and proper handling. —Any manufacturing defect in the zipper assembly of the Mattress Cover."

If you decide your Casper mattress, foundation or base aren’t for you, we’ll send a courier over to remove the product from your home and either donate it to a local charity or have it recycled. Either way, your original form of payment will be refunded 100 percent."

I love this mattress and contrary to the other review, there is zero plastic smell and my persistent back ache is gone! I’m delighted with my purchase.

The mattress is comfortable, but it has a very strong plastic smell. We've had it for two months hoping the smell would go away but it hasn't. The plastic smell goes on the sheets and our pjs. The room also smells like plastic. If your looking for a mattress that keeps you cool , this is not it.
