I contacted babbel to let them know an annual payment had been taken by mistake when i hadn't subscribed to their service for years. Their response essentially said, yes, a payment had been taken and i now have access to the service. This isn't okay. Beware of cancelling your subscription with babbel anywhere except the payment source (bank/paypal etc)

There is too much emphasis on writing in the correct form of words. You may be able to say them but Babbel gigs you if it is not spelled correctly. This is not a good program if you are just interested in speaking the language.

I tried this many years ago. It sucked back then. Nowadays, you can go to YouTube and learn just about any language. I learned to play guitar via YouTube in a month. It all depends how much time you put into it. I do speak fluent English and Spanish already. I studied Hebrew and lived in Israel for a year, but have lost most of the language (it was many years ago). It is an intensely difficult language, but it all depends on memory. Hint: use music and silly ideas to learn words, for example, I still know the Hebrew alphabet that I learn some 30 years ago by memorizing it to the of Yankee Doodle. And, I used silly idea to learn words, such as, MACAR, means 'to buy', so I tied the word to... Read More

Your program sucks. I didn't expect to have a class in punctuation's, and vowels. First I wanted to be able to speak the language! Perhaps later once I acquired the ability to speak well then perhaps writing the language would have been an option. The format is not user friendly. My option now is to cancel my 6 month subscription. I am very disappointed

Started off great, however, I have a technical issue that caused the software to not work properly. I’ve requested assistance from Babbel support 7 times in 3 days. NoResponse, no help, Nada. Babbel is great when it works. Why have they not responded in 3 days? Should I expect non-existence support?

I joined for about a week. That was enough to determine that it was not a very user friendly system. It was even difficult to cancel. I have no idea if it will reimburse me. I would seriously advise anyone considering Babbel to look at other online courses. I may have wasted $44.00

Absolutely terrible. If you do a trial and cancel they continue to charge you. Their customer service appears to be located in Germany and never get back to you except for some automated email. Save your money, do you not subscribe to even try their free trial – total rip off!!!!!

My problem is very basic and frustrating. Once you start a lesson you cannot page back. You may think you know a concept but realize you need to page back and review the content. The only way back to start the lesson over again. Really? I can't imagine a text book or reference book where it would be impossible to page back. Why limit this capability? I find myself printing pages so I can review if necessary. Don't plan to renew my subscription.

Great Company! Perhaps I requested a cancellation late, they respond immediately and gave me a total reimbursement.
