I live in California. CSAA accepted my home policy application and I paid for full year coverage. However, in less than 40 days, CSAA informed me my policy will be terminated. CSAA really screwed up my life and provided a ridiculous reason. I complaint to their executives but to no avail. I was doing fine with Allstate but decided to move my policy to CSAA upon their approval, thinking that I will like CSAA better. The premium and coverage are similar. Now that CSAA kicked me out, it screwed up my life because it is very hard to find home insurance in CA nowadays. The reason they gave is ridiculous. They said I have a recent roof repair and so reject me. Upon my appeal to their executive,... Read More
I have been trying for three months to close out my AAA LIFE POLICY AND GETBMY SURENDER VALUE! it’s likevtheybarecstallingand putting various roadblocks in my way. Each time I contact someone they request more informematiin then After i provided five or six new items they tell me the policy # Is not valid. The last lady Ibspokevtobwas going to send me a check for $95 i asked why they could not deposit the funds to my checking account which I used for several years to pay my monthly premiums! She said she could make the deposit to my account. in 8-10 days then three weeks went by withbout a deposit. Then AAA LIFE sent a new letter with all the details of my request including dob, ss#,... Read More
My claim for roofing was denied. AAA first sent 2 adjustors to our home. They agreed the storms that went through were bad and polka dotted our home roof and detattched shop/garage with chalk circling the damage. I started this fiasco in May 2022. Was bounced all over the claims department. (different personnel coming and going.) The original report, that I never got to see, was sent back to the adjustor. Then, lo and behold, my roofing claim was denied. They then sent an engineer from Illinois. All the damage he found was was deemed to have "no loss of function and the service life has not been reduced. The engineer took a nail from the shingles and said it was of insuffient... Read More
I bundled with AAA. The homeowner's Insurance policy was going to be $1400 a year. Then my agent, (who's really not my agent because they do not have agents according to the 800 number) Calls me and said they need to take photographs of the house (the house is only 6 years old, all the photos are on Zillow) because they may have charged me too much. After the photographs they decided to raise the annual premium $500 a year. I tried to challenge, but was told I could not. My original non agent lied to me and will not return my phone calls.
Denied my property damage claim with no reason. AAA hired forensic engineer from Nederveld, Inc. inspected our roof damage due to hail and wind. The inspection report showed that the hail damage of my roof was an old damage (occurred one year ago) at the time of the reporting (9/17/2021) and showed no strong wind record (>55 mph) at my location in the past 12 months. The inspection report did not even mention the hail history in the past 12 months. I send the AAA the link of hail and strong wind (70 mph) record between Jun 2021 and the day of inspection. There were several quarter size hailing and strong winds (70 mph) in the city (Granger, IN) where my property located between Jun 2021... Read More
Had a claim for water damage after a heavy rainstorm a few years back. They claimed the damage was due to "improper installation" and refused to pay. Never stated what was improperly adjusted. Then they sent me a letter saying they would not cover water damage going forward. My wife and I were too tired from work to fight with them at the time. I should've changed insurance companies right away but just looking for a new one now. Read other peoples review of AAA Home Insurance - you will see I am not alone in my complaint. We have been a customer of there's for many years too.
Unfortunately, we have now discovered for ourselves that AAA’s Home Policy is useless when making a claim. Wet carpet outside our downstairs bathroom and laundry room entryway led to our discovery of a broken drain line hidden within the wall of the upstairs bathroom that caused water to follow the drain line down to the ceiling and walls of the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. When this was discovered, we immediately called AAA Insurance and a plumber. The plumber found extensive mold/fungus hidden within the walls as he opened some of them up, which caused us to call a remediation company. We had mold/fungus coverage for $10,000 within our home owner’s policy. Ginger Tapert, the... Read More
THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING HOME INSURANCE FROM THEM! I went into a AAA office in Atlanta to get a document notarized and was talked into switching my home insurance policy to AAA. Here are some things I wish I had known before I did that: 1) They will send an inspector who will trespass on your private property including back yard without notice. 2) They will cancel your policy over what I would consider minor issues like overhanging tree branches WITHOUT GIVING YOU THE CHANCE TO FIX THEM. 3) When they cancel your policy you will not get any obvious notice of this. All I got was an email with the subject line "Documents for your review" which I couldn't review without creating an... Read More
To Glenn G who wrote the story about your roof, I’m going through the exact same thing with AAA. Total scammers!! Here is my full review... ZERO STARS!!!! The worst insurance company ever!! Run, run as fast as you can and those of you that already have this crappy insurance and are being scammed like me with valid claims being denied, I BEG you to write to your Department of Insurance and make a formal complaint! Simply leaving them isn’t enough! I have roofing issues caused by a big storm that everyone sees, but AAA! I have watched 9 insurance paid roofs go up on my street alone and dozens more within a 1/2 mile, and more popping up everyday! AAA told my my damages weren’t even enough to... Read More
I had a roofer inspect my roof and he informed me that I had storm damage, wind/hail. I contacted AAA they sent out their inspector he said he did not see any storm damage. He said there was norm ware and squirrel damage. AAA declined my claim. I appealed and requested another inspection, this time with the roofer who found the damage. AAA sent out the SAME INSPECTOR. The roofer told me that he pointed out the storm damage to the inspector. Big surprise my claim was denied a second time. I surely would have thought their inspector would have said, “I was completely wrong on my first inspection but please continue to send my out”. The neighbor directly across the street from me had his... Read More
Do not buy Homeowners policy from them! Worst experience ever!!! Please, Please, please. Go else where. Do not waste your time or money. Their low price are nothing but a trap!! Believe nothing they say, buy nothing they have to offer...
I began with AAA a little more than a year ago. My insurance bill was increased 20% at the end of this period. That will make my search renewed for a new insurance company. The answer I was given as to why the great increase "there's lots of crime in your city" which is true but that is $200/year.
As to on board. This is a poorly run program that associates have little understanding. I had to "fight my way" through the corporation to find out my % of rate decrease. The increase in the home insurance erased any discount on the automobile insurance and the $55 amount to maintain insurance convinced be to change insurance. My name is patricia Yost and I live in Albuquerque nm.
I would not trust AAA Roadside Assistance... It is my understanding that AAA does not do background checks on the Town Truck Drivers... AAA leaves that up to the Tow Companies.
Today I called the Sheriff's Department because of the way I was treated by the Tow Truck Driver...
Remember you get what you pay for... I will never use them again.
Absolutely worst customer service! First claim ever and it's been over a month with no resolve or response from our claim rep after many calls and emails. I even have had to do the job for them, take pictures get estimates call technicians etc.
Hello. I have been a customer With AAA For quite a few years, all four cars and home..I had the occasion to file two claims Back to back for hail damages in April and May because of the recent storms we've having in the Midwest. Both claims were denied ,claiming no damage Now the first adjuster claming I only had $948 worth of damage. Which didn't exceed my 1000 deductions, there was no payout. Adjuster was rude and did not want to work with my contractor, He stated that he did not need anyone to show him any damages he was trained to do his own assessment.with out any help..fine maybe so this time I filed a second time because of a new storm Labor Day. My adjuster came out.... Read More
AAA offers rates for price comparison to draw you in. Once you pay, they do an inspection and increase the policy after. Increasing the dwelling costs above any other insurance company. This is how they get you and if you paid the annual fees like we did, you are stuck in a bad decision.
You better read your HOA3 and understand it. Claims adjusters three levels 1. Adjuster, 2. His supervisor then the 3. Manager and 1 and 2 were worthless, finally now working with manager. It's been 53 days since I filed my claim and finally was contacted by the Manager 4 days ago. AAA claims are handled out of their Colorado office and our property is in Northern Calif. #1 and #2 were worthless so I took it to the third level. AAA homeowners insurance claims will be a fight. They love to collect premiums but its "World War III to get them to pay a claim.
