No rates offered at all on-line -- what a scam!! I want to see rates BEFORE I waste time talking to potential lenders. Blowing up my phone line is NOT what I signed up for. Luckily I provided my landline, and they can all talk to my answering machine. Will not use again.
I have to agree with what others have said regarding the immediate phone call assault! I submitted my too much information 45 minutes ago and have received no less than ten calls. Three of which came from the same person. And none of the organizations that called offer heloc. Wth? I have a better interest rate currently than what anyone can offer which is why I don't need a refi.
I just set myself up for an assault by those who got my information. This site is nothing more than a hunting license. I was hopeful that it would be legit. It is if you want a refi. Just not a heloc.
Got a call in seconds, told me they used their own capital, then after pulling credit report stated they want d to shop for a rate from other vendors. This after I ask do if they were the lender or a broker. Then they stated the did not do home equity which was what I applied for. Bait and switch, they even tried to sell me on financial planning. Don't use this site!
I just went on to lending tree and entered all the required information name DOB, address, last 4 of my social, email phone number and all, only to be directed to call each one of the lending institutions to get my rate quote. What kind of service is that? I thought you were supposed to see your rates after all that. This is great now everyone on this site and all the lending institutions they deal with have my info and I don't have a single offer. I did not want you to share my Info.
Gave all of this personal information for multiple sources of rates and they give me 1 source with one rate and the amount I "qualified" for was 5x the amount I needed. Now I'm going to get barraged by phone calls. Great. I should have read the comments.
I entered the extensive information on the site, only to have it say that they couldn't give me any rates. Then, literally 30 seconds after I entered my info with phone #, I got a call from BOTH LendingTree and Quicken trying to "verify my info" and have me speak to a loan officer before they could give out any info. Deceptive at best!
I requested information on a home equity loan and only after providing personal information received offers for only cash out refinance loans and a direct call from a lender even before the screen had time to load. A waste of my time.
Provides only ONE option for me and it's from a company that has LOTS of negative reviews. Everyone says beware of the company provided, claiming them to be scam artists. I am just looking for a simple home equity loan or HELOC on less than 25% of my equity and I have well over 720 credit rating and have paid my condo in full (no mortgage at all). What kind of service is that? Can't even leave a review because this review site has been blacklisted through Facebook.
I was told my credit was 630 and my credit rate is 815. I do not know where you get your rates from but they
are wrong . Check your credit rates again.
I had an amazing time getting a loan with Lendingtree. They made it easy, fast and affordable. I am definitely going to recommend them to all my friends and family. My wife is super happy too and I'm not paying a crazy interest rate.
Agree with all of the reviews who say that this site says they can compare HELOC loan rates, but then just gives your information out to all of the lenders who immediately call you on the phone (within seconds of each other). Creepy!!!!!! I feel completely violated.
I went through the entire process with Royal United, and I gave them money, everything seemed fine, then without ANY explanation, the loan was refused. The online site I was given was made "unavailable" and when I tried to call, I couldn't get in touch with anyone. 2 Months later, another person from Royal called and said they were trying to "follow up" and I gave him an earful. This "new" person claimed I was turned down for the loan because I had negative feedback from the existing company I had a loan with. I used the Lending Tree site described as offering HELOC rates and services. Entered all the required information and EVERY lending lead only offered Home Equity Loans NOT HELOCS. Was barraged by phone and email contacts by firms that did not offer the loan product as advertised AND had to deal with the hard sell tactics of loan advisors questioning my preference for a HELOC.
Waste of time. Don’t quite understand the high ratings for Lending Tree’s service. Lesson learned, avoiding all leads connected to this entity.

I have tried twice to get rates from LT. Both times their sign in process/system failed, even though they were able to take all my financial information.

gave info get no rates 6 calls all at once could not talk to anyone all lenders beeping in had to try answer phone sucked no help
They will pull your credit score before they provide you with the information you are seeking, this is not the place to talk to. It will ruin your credit in a hearth beat without giving anything. These people are sick
I was looking for a Heloc loan, which they did not help me. Instead, I received or should I say, I was bombarded with phone call after phone calls from other companies, emails, text messages from money solicitors. All I wanted was information. Sleazy business to sell your information to the highest bidder. Shame on you!
No rates OR information was available on-line . I want information before I waste time answering the same questions over and over on the phone. Rating of 3 is due to the process just beginning, and I don't know if I'll shop the banks or stick with online sources.

they get all your info than rates are double what they tell you.. don't use.. use others before lending tree
waste of time. Every lender that contacted me blowing up my phone with calls wanted me to do a cash out refinance loan. Not a single lender that contacted me even offered a home equity loan.
So, every "Home Mortgage Company that reached out to me after my request for a "Equity Loan" stated they do not do equity loans but would be very happy to refinance my home and allow me to pull money out.
This is a huge miss representation on "Lending Tree.
I will never ask lending tree for any more help.
Lending Tree just sells information to lenders that bombard your phone and email. The word "NO" means nothing to them.
