As one of the nation's three largest banks, Chase maintains a wide network of physical branches and ATMs that give customers convenient access to their accounts. Its various accounts and fees are at the same level with other national bank's offerings. Chase also offers several checking options and a $200 bonus for new customers. Overall, Chase checking accounts give consumers access to solid baking services in person an online, but if you are looking for competitive, high APY earning on your checking accounts, there are better options out there.

Chase offers four checking accounts. The first two, Chase Total Checking and Chase Student Checking, offer basic checking features and low to no maintenance fees. Chase Premier Plus Checking and Chase Sapphire Checking offer more premium features, including interest-earning and waived fees on non-Chase ATMs. All of the accounts give customers access to mobile banking and online bill pay, and they all come with a debit card. If I could give a minus star rating I would. Very unprofessional, hold monies for no just cause causing your account to go into overdraft, charging ridiculous fees....I am very disappointed and downright pissed at Chase Bank. I deposited a $4k check via teller into my account. This check was from home insurance company for property damage I sustained 2 months ago to my home. The teller did not tell me that they would hold the check. I call today and the check is being held until 02/23 which is one week away which is going to mess up my direct deposit from employer because my employment check will go to what is overdrawn in my account and I will have no money for over a week, not for gas or... I used CHASE online bill pay to pay a supplier invoice. When the supplier notified me that they had NOT received the check/payment, I visited a local branch to see what was going on. CHASE said it had not been cashed and put a stop payment on it. I waited a week for the sum to be refunded to our account before going back to the bank. Chase takes the money out of your account BEFORE the check/payment is received by the PAYEE. It turns out the check HAD been cashed prior to my first visit by a mail thief who changed the PAYEE name and cashed the check via ETRADE online (backed by Morgan Stanley Private Bank). I did everything I was asked including filing claims with the post office and... Read More

I have been screwed by this company too many times. They don't appear to give a Fu*k about you as a customer. I made a payment to my credit card which brought it to a zero balance, in preparation of a business trip out of state. This was done several business days prior to my departure via another financial institution. (Direct payment) When I arrived at my destination, and tried to use my Chase credit card, I was informed that it was denied. Fortunately, I was able to use another card. When I inquired about this issue, I was told that it was on a 5 day hold so they could verify that my bank would honor the payment (that they just made on my behalf) I talked with a supervisor, and she said... Chase is the worst bank out there right now. They have a bunch of wet behind the ears employees because they cannot retain employees. After 25 years they changed the rules on deposits without notice. The new employees and even older management does not know the law. They wasted an hour of my time today and I just needed to deposit a check. They were rude and do not understand their own rules. Check should have been deposited and let main bank make final decision since they not know what they are doing at the branch level I transferred my money to another bank today and will close that account after 25 years on Monday. Pay enough to hire professionals!!!!!
