BoatUS offers comprehensive insurance options including agreed value, actual cash value, liability-only, and "only for anglers" policies. It also provides generous base coverages such as a $25k supplemental medical coverage, a fuel spill liability and clean up allowance, haul out coverage of up to 50% of the cost, and up to $1,000 for NOAA storm preparation. The company offers a variety of endorsement options for agreed value and actual value policies, including a premiere enhancement package that increases coverage for medical payments, personal effects, captain’s liability, and freeze protection. An unlimited towing option is available with a BoatUS membership. Policyholders who have a Geico auto insurance policy may also qualify for an additional multi-policy discount.

Boat US customer service is awful. They will do anything possible to not cover the towing. Do not use Boat US for towing. I have had two occasions to use my Boat US towing service and both times got screwed. First time the axle broke and was able to drag last 600 fee to front of my house. When I called to have trailer towed to the trailer repair, they said since it was in front of my house it was no longer covered. If I had left it where it happened they would have towed it to the mechanic. Ridiculous, second time my mechanic loaned me his dealer trailer to bring my boat to him and the bearing burnt out.
