After 3 visits and $350 in cost my dishwasher still leaks. I was told at 2nd visit that it needed some parts and due to poor diagnostics from first visit, at least the parts would be free. When the 3rd service tech came to replace parts I was told I have to pay for the parts and the labor. That the tech who told me it would be free was wrong and was going to get a "talking to" the following Monday. I tried calling Customer Service but got disconnected every time. Do not know if fault of line or was hung op on. I am going to purchase a new DW. Think I have spent enough on the one I have. I have always used Sears Appliance Repair for 20 years and I am telling you now I will never use... Read More

Ordered 4500$ worth of Kenmore elite oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The oven and dishwasher took 2 months to get here. The dishwasher broke within a year. It had a factory warranty that I spent literally HOURS on the phone getting passed from person to person only to eventually be hung up on. This is the worst service I've ever been involved with. The repair man they sent out told me to call back and get a replacement dishwasher and sears acted like they had never heard of this. One of the phone guys accidently read me the repair man's notes asking for a replacement, and then just hung up on me. Unbelievable.

My Maytag Neptune stackable washer dryer combo needed attention since I could not get the washer to spin all the water out of the washer. I am a senior and have used Sears for servicing and warranteeing my appliances several years ago. They contract with A&E Appliance Repair, apparently a national business. The first man came out and told me it would cost$600 to repair my washer, as I needed "new motor control and motor assembly:. He suggested I get rid of it and buy a new one. He did not take more than ten minutes to look at the washer, and never checked the water pump that sometimes get socks etc. lodged slowing drainage, nor check the Lid Lock or Wax Motor also mentioned in YT... They damaged our floor and it took them several visits to repair our fridge door. That said some of the visits were due to poor packaging by the warehouse. Still to this date they have not picked up the bad fridge door they replaced, its still sitting in our garage. With regards to floor damage I contacted the companies insurance, however they require me to agree to a complete confidentiality clause in order for them to cover the damages the tech caused, which I would not agree to. This work was done by Sears Appliance repair through A&E by way of Assurant service protection advantage.

TERRIBLE - Sears Home Services is like nightmare you cannot escape from. The company sends out repair people that don't even take the time to help you repair what you purchased from them. Instead, they want to keep upselling you on warranties to continue paying for services with them and honestly don't care about taking the time to see "what" the issue is when you call them for help (because that is what you called them for!) and then when they are there, they don't ask questions or "assess" the situation, they try to sell you on things you don't need. Then when they cannot fix it and tell you that you will not get a bill, you not only get a bill, you either A.) cannot get a person to... Read More

STAY CLEAR OF SEARS REPAIR! I have used Sears repair 3 times 1) My microwave stopped working. Tech came out to tell me it would be cheaper to buy a new one. $99 charge 2) Dishwash was leaking. Sears guy came out. He's not a dishwasher repairman, doesn't have any dishwasher parts. Find that I have a leaky hose. Doesn't want to get one. Tells me I should go to sears and get the part myself. $99.00 charge. 3) My freezer wasn't working well. I was sure I needed a compressor. When I scheduled the repair I told them I didn't want to be told to buy a new one. I asked how much a compressor replacement is. I was told $250 - $400.00. Repair guys comes out and says $850... Sears tech come to my house, first he was a hour and a half late, the appointment was for 7 am to 11 am, at 12 I called Sears to find out whats going on, they told me he was running late, Nobody cares about my time. My furnace wasn't heating and was flashing red light on it, it flashes in a sequence of 3 short flashes, pause and 3 short flashes, There is a Manufacturer Diagnostic Fault Codes list on the door that state 3 flashing red lights means that the Pressure switch is stuck closed, the Sears tech ignores the codes and told me that the circuit board is bad and that it cost $600 to replace, I told him that i am not doing that. I called the office and not only do they charge me... Read More

After paying for a hot water contract for 8 years, my 13 year old hot water heater leaked. They came, took pictures, and now it's been over a week that they have not honored their contract. I have no hot water. They transfer, hang up on you, tell you the'll call back and never do. This is no longer a viable company. Do NOT use them for contracts or repairs. I will end up spending my own money, then suing them in small claims court. I will also contact all media and political people I can for help. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. STAY CLEAR OF SEARS.

Sear Appliance Repair is horrible. It's no wonder why SEARS is going out of business everywhere. The customer service is really nonexistent. I tried for entire day to talk with someone about getting a replacement dishwasher for the BRAND NEW dishwasher that I purchased less then 7 months ago. We used it maybe 20 times and has been broken ever since. Even technician is fed-up with the darn thing. I just would like to have a new dishwasher in working condition. With the time and effort that Sears has spent in warranty claims with the repair facility we could have a new dishwasher 6 weeks ago.....very disappointed in this appliance. Makes me think less of the brand name.

SHAME ON ME for choosing Sears Appliance Repairs, based upon the SEARS name and the reputation I once held for them. If you value your hard earned money... Run, don’t walk... away from this company. The labor costs to install a small plastic $11 bracket came to $369 and the time to install it was less than 15 minutes. Shame on me for saying yes, because if I said no, I would still be out the $99 “Diagnostic Fee”. In the end, I felt violated by a company that I once trusted. Buyer beware.
