I ordered in November and was given a December 16 and 17 delivery date. Nothing was ever delivered. I contacted customer service about 15 times requesting help and never received a response. I guess they are no longer in business?!? Or don’t want me as a customer?! I was counting on serving the wine at my Christmas party but ended up making other arrangements.

While I have enjoyed the wines for many years, I had a bad experience that WSJ Wine customer service did not take care off. “Problem with a case? Just email us and we will take care of it” is their motto. Yet on November 23, I ordered the Advent calendar wines for a special client which they shipped to my address, even though it was a gift and I gave their name and address. I spent over 45 minutes with the person who said they put the order through before I gave them the recipients address. I told Jeffery that this was a gift, so cancel the 1st order and ship it to the proper address. I had to repeat and spell name and address as he was definitely flustered. My clients never got this... I was a member of WSJwine for two years and really loved the variety and quality of the wines I received. Then I noticed an unauthorized charge on my credit card from the company. I emailed to inquire; received no response. Emailed again; no response. Emailed again, all within one month using WSJs own inquiry form, and still no response. They then charged my credit card and sent me a case of wine I did not order and did not authorize. I tried to return the case but was unable to. WSJ would not credit me the charge back nor would they ever respond to any of my inquiries about why they sent the case without prior approval. They just charge over $200 for something not ordered and not... Read More

I have been a member of WSJ wine for several years and generally satisfied, but had a negative experience recently. I received two mailings with deals on certain wines. I called to place multiple orders, gave my name and zip code to the helper and the order took about 45 minutes to place. The service person did not understand me well and at the end told me the credit card I gave him did not go thru (I gave him a second but that also did not go through). I had to put a hold on the order and call the credit card company to resolve the matter. The credit card company which told me that their record shows the operator did not enter the right numbers. I called WSJ wines again to place the... Read More

This seems to be more of a complaint board, but I have nothing but kudos! We have thoroughly enjoyed the wines they have curated for us. Has every wine been top notch? Maybe not, but on balance it has been spectacular, and just downright fun. We have learned so much! That includes discovering new varietals that we love (and will continue to order) as well as those we will avoid in the future. As for customer service, let me tell you about this experience: woke up one morning, went to the basement, and discovered a bottle had popped its cork, there was wine on the floor. I read up on this, occasionally wine gets bottled prematurely, and fermentation continues causing pressure to build;... Read More

I placed an order on December 16 for delivery to my sisters. I reached an order acknowledgment, she received the order acknowledgement and my credit card was charged. The deliver range was December 22-26. I check on the order several times, on line, each time it said unable to provide information at this time. On the 26th we e-mailed and called to inquire about the status. The customer service representative said they could not locate the record, despite having my customer number, order number and copy of the e-mail acknowledgement, but they would escalate the situation and respond within 24-48 hours. I have emailed every 48 hours to get an update and have received the same response. It is... Read More

I ordered the Wine Advent Calendar on November 1 and as of December 7 it still has not been delivered and I am told they "hope" it will deliver in 7-10 business days. After several questions to a live customer service representative, they were out of stock but are now apparently back in stock. Very disappointing as Advent starts on December 1. The entire copy and marketing around this product was for Advent and they guarantee delivery by December 1. The worst was there was no communication from WSJ. I had to reach out a couple of times via email and then had to finally call their customer service. Great, great gift idea but you need to make sure you can execute before getting into the... These guys are the worst. They bait and switch you with free gifts non stop and offers that they pull after charging your credit card and don't honor any of their guarantees.

I agree with the other reviewers. Customer service is horrible. I asked to speak with a manager to no avail. Still waiting to get a refund. Decided to refuse shipment after waiting 2 weeks to get the wine delivered. Stay away!

Terrible experience. Delivery was delayed multiple times. Customer service was not existent for any real assistance. I canceled my subscription as my initial shipment bounced around northern California.

We were not happy with the service that we got from WSJ Wine. Most of the problems were with WSJ Wine's accounting department. We rate the wine from being OK to a few good wines. The biggest problem now is WSJ Wine continues mailing us to sign up again after several requests to stop wasting your paper on us.

Very impressed! This WSJwine program has really impressed me. And, has also broadened my horizons re wine- several things that came to us as part of a special case mix ended up really impressing us! Sometimes we even ordered more of something we’d never had before! I.m Drinking one, right now! A Bergerac Sec from France that is delightful! The few times we’ve needed customer service, they have been great- very courteous and kind service. Really impressed with WSJ Wine, and we are sort of selective…

Terrible customer service. I cancelled my subscription and deleted all my personal information in my account. They charged my deleted credit card information to send me a case. I had to cancel my credit card. They still admit and defend this practice?

This club is poorly managed. Often sent the wrong items or someone else's order. Shipping is a nightmare since they expect customers to fix their mistakes (E.g. return packages to the shipping center). Customer service is poor - they will often drop your call. Poor systems maybe? The wine selection is as good as anyone else's, but the customer experience is awful. Look elsewhere.

I was really happy with this club for many months. Then I tried to get one case rescheduled. What a mistake! after several emails and phone calls I finally spoke to the most rude arrogant supervisor I have ever encountered. I have cancelled my subscription. Avoid them. Go to Total Wine and buy your cases there, you're much better off.

For starters they have zero affiliation with the Wall Street Journal. That is done just to mislead you. They have absolutely terrible customer service. I waiting on hold for 2 hours to try to cancel and never spoke to anyone. I had to call my credit card to block transactions and they still figured out a way to charge me. Had to pay to avoid collections. Stay as far away from these scam artists as you can.

Cannot yet review the actual wine because though, I ordered on Jan. 30, I have received nothing. WSJ Wine website says it shipped a month ago. FedEx says it never shipped at all. WSJ Wine website pushes the estimated delivery back every week. Received a customer service reply days after I contacted them saying they requested a reorder. Nothing seems to have changed. Have not received my wine. No status change on their website. But they wasted no time in charging my card. I did not realize when I ordered that I was signing up to give interest-free loans. Pretty savvy on their end though.

I can't believe that the Wall Street Journal would lend its name to this wine club. I could write a book on all of the problems I've encountered with this club. First, they lure you to purchase a case of wine promising a highly rated wine as a bonus and consistently change the wine they ship. They claim that they replace the wine with a similar or better wine, but that's not true. For example, I ordered a case with 3 bottles of a $50 Napa Cab but received 3 bottles of a $35 Australian Cab, not at all similar. Worse yet, they often don't deliver the wine at all. I ordered 2 gift boxes of wine, but only received one. After nearly 3 months of calling customer service, they stated that the... Read More

Their wine in the discover box is all terrible, however their bordeaux box did have good wines. I switched to the premier membership and had to cancel because i never received the box I paid for. I called them, emailed them and everyone kept telling me it was coming but a month later, I still had not received the wine and they charged me for another box BEFORE receiving the first box. I canceled everything with WSJ Wines because the wine was not good enough to deal with the frustration they caused with every box. Every single box we received had at least one damaged bottle in the box.

Their customer service personnel seem to be actively sabotaging their customer service - or they're just really, really incompetent.

Their policy states that "If you are not completely satisfied with any wine, for any reason, just let us know and you’ll receive a refund." It does not say how much they will refund. I complained about a wine that tasted like grape juice and paid $161 for the case, they refunded $4.61. Since I then opened a 2nd bottle and it also tasted bad, I decided not to order again from them. The introductory case was well received, so it seems that once they have you, they can then send inferior wine and back it with this paltry refund.

I ordered a case through this company off of an offer I got through HelloFresh. They stated they may be a weight due to overwhelming response, no problem. I received my case in a fairly timely manner but when I opened it I was very disappointed. I PAID for a case of mixed wines, half red/half white, and received ONLY red wines with a note stating they took the liberty to change my order instead of making me wait. I contacted them stating I would not have purchased from them knowing it would only be red wines and stating I wouldn't have minded if they had taken the liberty in changing the "brands" of bottles but keeping with the type. They offered NO solution other than returning the... Read More

I joined the wine club on 4/11 and paid $96.49 for that initial shipment. Then on 6/19 you debited my AMEX $191.18. It is now 8/24 and I have yet to receive any wine for my $191.18 payment? Please explain. Richard G. Foley

Initial introductory order April 10th wit new order in three months unless membership cancelled. Cancel any time promised. Cancelled my membership on June 11th by email. Phone service was unavailable at that time. They shipped an order not requested by me on June 18th- not 3 months. Charged my account. This is not an honest move on their part I never selected any wines and cancelled because I liked only 2 of the wines on the introductory offer. They sent me a return Fedex label and they received the case unopened on July 6th. I am waiting for the refund and hope it is issued before I pay interest on the original charge. One star for sending a return label and two wines out of 9... Read More
