Membership Programs

Winc’s membership program gives customers early access to upcoming wines in their collection with exclusive membership pricing. Members have a say in what kind of wine they receive and which ones they would rather not have again. They receive a monthly delivery containing 3-4 bottles with no shipping costs on orders of 4 bottles or more. Taxes and additional fees may apply depending on the size of the order and shipping address. Consumers can cancel or skip shipments anytime with no additional charges. 

Shipment

Customers can purchase as many or as few bottles of wine as they wish from the Winc site. Shipping charges depend on the size of your orders, but if you order 4 bottles or more, free shipping is included in your order.  If you order less than 4 bottles, you'll be charged a flat rate of $9.

Winc has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, meaning that if you're not happy with a bottle in your box they will send a different one, no questions asked.

Gift Programs

Be very careful buying wine from this company ,, They are a scam ,,,,I bought the wine from a third company Called Stack Social and it automatically put me into a membership witch I was not aware of the membership and charged me months of money and they wont refund so as soon as you put your card in its goes strait to a membership,, never even drank any of the wine .. Unprofessional and lack skills on dealing with customers and Satisfaction they are a scam.....0 STARS

How is this company almost 5 star when the comments are all negative? Unable to use my gift card. The system says to contact customer service which by the way is impossible!

I actively ask people not to buy me gift cards to this site because they automatically enroll you into a monthly membership, then make it impossible to cancel. With a $60 gift card I paid $3 out of pocket to cover shipping on 4 bottles of wine, and I honestly don't believe it's even worth the $3 to deal with these people.

This company will charge you long after you cancel your membership. They make it near impossible for you to contact them. Look at the complaints against them on the Better Business Bureau website. There is many others just like me. They are scammers

ec'd a gift cert for the December holidays. Tried to redeem it in early January. Inventory choices were very low. Tried again in late February. Unless you became a member, the wine prices were o.k., not great. The main issue arose when trying to buy bottles of wines to stay within the gift cert dollar amount. You can't redeem the certificate for less than 3 bottles. Which, with shipping and taxes, will take you over the introductory $60 certificate value. So, now, you're paying for a gift. Ridiculous. SAVE YOURSELF AGREVATION, AND STRESS, DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH WINC WINES. Two years ago I was a member of their wine club and found their wine mediocre at best. I also found very poor support on their web site. I cancelled my membership. This time, 2021 for New Year, I was given a gift coupon and when I tried to redeem it they charged my credit card instead of redeeming the coupon. The only time they responded to an email is when they gave me vague instructions on how to redeem the gift coupon. Since then they have failed to cancel my order, have not responded to over 6 emails, will not answer their phone, have charged my CC for an order they refused to cancel, and give you no way... I have tried to cancel so many times and ways without success that I finally called the bank to change my card number and file a complaint. I have been "shipped" 5 boxes of wine per my credit card statement. However other than signing for the initial box I have never received another. I have called and the phone due to Covid seems to be not working. They have an on line chat feature which does not work. I emailed and after 6 emails of back and forth which say cancel my order they still cannot figure it out. When I log into my account it is confusing and no place to track my orders. This wine club is more trouble than it's worth. My husband gave me a gift card for our anniversary and it's incredibly difficult figuring out how to redeem it. Why is this so hard? It seems like it's a trap to get you to sign up for an ongoing membership. We've spent many hours combing the website and talking to customer service and we STILL don't have our wine. This better be some damn fine wine. I will NEVER use this service again.

Haven't received my wine yet, but I am very unhappy with the website. I only ordered from them because I received a gift card. It is extremely difficult to find where to enter the code to redeem your gift card (have to go to Account Settings and find the box that says redeem a gift). This is NOT explained on the gift card or on the website anywhere that I could find. They don't provide a phone number without going through the FAQ where I found it as a link under a question about why you have to cancel your membership by phone or email. For a company that is "the Netflix of wine" they do not make it convenient for customers. I worked from home for two days to receive my shipment, however, it never arrived. I live in an apartment building with a call box out front but is not managed by a concierge or doorman and thus left specific instructions for the delivery person to use the call box and/or to call me upon arrival. Somehow none of that worked and my package didn't arrive. Winc Wine Club used my personal contacts from my subscription with Club W that I canceled over 3.5 years ago. They emailed these folks today using my first and last name saying I just sent them a free wine offer. These e-mails went to clients & old personal connections I am no longer in touch with. Inappropriate and unprofessional business practices from a company that must be desperate for business. Do not give them your personal information!

Miserable experience. Increasingly unsatisfying wines for increasingly higher prices. When I sought to cancel, their customer service department was more interested in making it a hassle than in finding the root of my issue and refused to cancel my service until I outright called out the lack of professionalism directly. Responsible companies that offer a valuable service do not need to coerce their customers into staying with them.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Winc. The wine quality is bottom shelf, more often red and white blends, that are hardly worth $13+ dollars. The delivery service is fine, but really that's a review of FedEx. The Winc service is extremely difficult to use and cancel. Canceling requires calling into Winc, rather than an online option. There, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes before connecting finally with a service rep who tried several times to continue selling me a membership even after I tried to cancel. Wine was terrible and I contacted them to cancel but they would not cancel and continued to send shipments anyway. When I contacted them again to cancel and return the wine they told me they would deduct $20. I will be contacting my credit card about fraudulent charges because they charged my card without my permission. Their prices seemed reasonable but the wine was awful. I brought these bottles on vacation and my friend brought a box wine (Vin Vault) and these bottles were so bad we ended up just drinking box wine....

I have been very happy with my Winc membership. The wine quality is great!!! Every time I visited my sister she would offer me a glass of wine she had received from Winc. I finally decided to join myself since I really liked nearly all the different wines I tried at her house. Joining was easy and free.I did have to figure out how to skip a montly shipment but have had no problem skipping when I need to. The wines offered through Winc are very good and fit my teacher-salary budget. I would not hesitate to recommend this club to others and have already told several of my friends about it. I was very unhappy with my experience with WInc and would not recommend it in the future. I felt that the sign up process was very vague regarding how the enrollment process would operate. It was my understanding that you would be able to pick which months you would have wine delivered and would only be charged when you wanted to have wine shipped. That is not the case. I thought that the idea of a customized wine delivery which allowed you to try new wines was a great idea. Unfortunately, the wine that was delivered was not at all the type that I would prefer.
