In September 2022, I had one of their walk in tubs installed in my home. They completed the installation, gave me instructions, then left. I could not wait to try out the new tub and all of those jets. I am 71 years old, disabled and I was excited to say the least I filled the tub and enjoyed the jets and bubbles. I decided to wait a month before writing this review as I wanted things to get much better than they are. I purchased a walk-in tub due to my brother’s recent MS diagnosis. He needed something to be able to get in and out of the shower with ease. I also thought the advanced therapy jets for the legs would help with his circulation. I thought it would be beneficial for my elderly Mom, who is a dialysis patient. You go in thinking you are making such a huge change to make things better. Buyer beware! Worst experience of my life. Took 5 weeks to get it (I could live with that) then when installed the hoses on all the jets were leaking. Customer Service was contacted by Lowe’s Rep. and was told it would be 3.5 weeks before they could get a tech out to fix. I personally contacted their Customer Service and that was pitiful. Ended up getting parts thru mail (most parts not even pertinent) but still no tech. 3 weeks go by and they finally approve my contractor to repair and still keep warranty in effect ( WE WILL SEE ON THAT ONE). One of the worst companies! The sales rep comes to your home and gives a wonderful job telling you all the great things about the walk in tub. We bought the tub knowing it is something we need due to health issues my husband and I have. The crew they sent out to install the tub had no idea what they were doing. A job that we were told would take 3 days took 7 days. The molding around the bottom of the tub was not measured correctly so they tried to cover up their mistakes with caulking. Beware of American Standard Seriously reconsider purchasing a walk in tub from American Standard / Safety Tubs. You should purchase one from another company and bypass this organization. American Standard would rather stiff a Veteran and his Handicap Spouse then do the right thing. I had attempted to purchase a Liberation walk-in tub from Safety Tubs LLC in April of 2021. The Salesman used shady pressure tactics to show he was lowering the price but, I had to commit on the spot. No time to consider the offer. Trying to get my leaking walk-in tub fixed. Leaking after one year around the door. Would not recommend this company to anyone. They are supposed to be a great company with a great product. So far my experience has been anything other than great.
Customer service is iffy. I called about a leak a couple of weeks ago, and still getting the run around. Having to take showers is dangerous for me, but they don't seem to care about getting someone here to fix the problem.
First they say they're sending the replacement part to me, and then they say the repair guy has the part. He never answers the phone, so I leave messages that never get returned. Sorry I chose this company.
Love the walk in tub but service is questionable. I paid over 16 grand for this tub in November 2020. I have a problem with the shower. Has no water pressure. You cannot take a bath in the tub because it takes almost 50 gallons of water. Called service on Friday at 2:45. Said they would send part to serviceman. Called Monday to see when this would be fixed. They called back Tuesday and said part was sent Monday and would probably be to service man by end of week. I have NO shower! Why would they not send the part next day to service man? Very disappointed in service!!!

I was lied to by the sales person, I felt pressured to get this because of my wife's medical problems, I was told how great this is for medical issues, then later informed by her DR that a tub is NOT recommended for some one with her condition. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE BUYING. Also received a letter from a real property finance company, this was supposed to be a NON secured loan. When I called to cancel I could not get thru to ANYONE at the numbers on the contract OR the finance Co. The Liberation tub that I have has a severe leak in the drain. I have contacted American Standard several times and have been promised that it will be taken care of but to no avail. I cannot use the tub with the leak in it. If I had not gone into the crawl space under the tub, I would not have discovered the leak. On the second call about the leak they were even rude about my call. There seems to be a design flaw in the drain and American Standard doesn't want to own up to it. My next call is to BBB and states attorney. I would not buy American Standard products ever again.
The installation of our Liberation tub was an unprofessional disaster from start to finish. The work done was not in compliance with code, and the state compliance inspector had to contact Eric Wingate, the regional installation manager, to insure that a qualified electrician fix the problems created by their installer. The process took from May 18 to Oct 22. Needless to say we can hardly stand to look at the tub let alone use it.

Purchased tub in June 2019. It is a beautiful tub . Ran into a problem almost immedietly and had to wait a month before anyone came out to chek the problem. It was determined that a pump needed replacing. The pump came within 2 weeks but I have had it for over a month with no service. I have called several times to no avail. The level of service is unsatisfactory, considering the price paid for the tub and installation.
A complaint to the better business bureau is my next option.
Under NO curcumstances would I recommend American Standard to anyone.
Had a Liberation Walk-in tub installed in October 2018. Having continuing problems with a pungent smell coming from the tub when the air spa feature is used. All other features on the tub are working fine. They've changed out parts, to no avail. It continues to happen. I've asked them to change out the tub since there is obviously a design flaw and this tub has been compromised in some way since it continues to happen. Now I am getting the royal run around from our contact representative.
If you ever need service...forget it....won’t give me a date when they can fix one of the water jets that is not working...love the tub....but need it to work properly....I just want an answer when they can fix it....was promise a call back by 4:00 on Friday 11/16/2018. No call back so at 5:00 I call and the lady who promise she would call back was gone for the day...is this the way to follow up with a great product. I wish I knew this would happen and I would gone with a tub that was not as nice but great service....I have not been able to take a bath since Monday....my name is Michael D Rickman and live in Orlando FL.
My American Standard walk-in soaker tub does not drain unless I remove the drain plug. I chose not to have the motor which is supposed to drain the tub faster because I was afraid to have electricity near water. But the installer said the motor must be installed, even if not made functional. It now stops the tub from emptying. I have called American Standard and there is nothing they can do.
