Phone.com Business VoIP Phone System review
This web based platform is very well designed and easy to use and configure, even for non-IT folks. The feature set is markedly better than most of its competitors. The product is good. The problem is that the cost ends up being double what's advertised. They have been overcharging our account by $80/mo for features that we never enabled or subscribed to. This has been going on for 6 months and they swear each month it will be taken care of and our account credited. Sometimes the credit shows up for that month, but lo and behold the unauthorized charge is still there the following month! It nearly doubles the cost of service vs. the basic subscription cost. There is no way on their site to manage this and I'm becoming convinced that it's deliberate over-billing and they are hoping that people wont have the time to catch and argue about it. It's been very frustrating to deal with and outweighs any advantage they otherwise offer over the competitors. We are now looking to change providers as it's impossible to have a phone provider that requires this much work to keep honest. I have to spend an hour plus each month to review the bill and call/email repeatedly to get the unauthorized costs removed. UPDATE: I was annoyed when I wrote this, and shortly after I received a call and they have fully resolved all issues. I no longer believe the over-billing was deliberate, but rather a mistake being caused by new integrations they are still working to perfect. They were very apologetic and made things right. Back to five stars.
