Like its competitors, it offers a full range of loans which can be taken out against a variety of property types. The borrower-to-lender matching process is simple and does not require customers to supply their personal information. The company's responsiveness to the few minor BBB complaints against it speaks well of its commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

Requesting a quote for a VA loan begins on Rate Marketplace's homepage, where customers select the desired loan type, their credit profile, and their home type via easy-to-use drop-down menus. Customers are not required to supply identifying information at this stage, but are prompted to enter the zip code of the property. They are then presented with a customized list of lenders. From there, the application process is handled by each individual lender.

Reputation - 9.1 / 10

RateMarketplace is a newer VA loan marketplace and was established in 2013. The company is accredited by the BBB and has an A rating. It has nine complaints against it, all of which allege that the company provided customer data to various lenders, who then proceeded to contact the customers. In each case, the company responded promptly and pledged to move the complaining customer to their unsubscribe list. Since connecting lenders to borrowers is what marketplaces such as RateMarketplace are supposed to do, these complaints do not seem particularly egregious. The company does not appear to have been involved in any serious lawsuits or regulatory actions.
