Founded in 2015, Tubi is an advertising-supported TV streaming service that gives viewers access to over 35,000 films and TV shows at no charge. Located in San Francisco, California, Tubi is owned by Fox Corporation.

Thirty-five thousand on-demand movie and TV titles for zero dollars a month? It's tough to argue with that. Tubi can widen your viewing horizons without making even the tiniest dent in your entertainment budget. So what's the catch? There are a few of them. But they still don't tarnish Tubitv's value proposition. Tubi is free TV—just like back in the old days when all you had to do was plug in your TV and watch what the networks had to offer. Or just like the local programming you're accustomed to viewing today through traditional networks and their affiliates.

But like local and traditional network programming, Tubi comes with commercials. Not very many of them, but if you insist on commercial-free viewing, Tubi won't meet your criteria. Nor does Tubi offer access to Live TV. You also won't find the same breadth of titles on Tubi as you would if you were willing to $100 per month or more. But with 35,000 on-demand titles, Tubi can match the breadth of many companies' opening price point plans.  Critics of the service also note that the Tubitv catalog isn't the freshest out there. But you are likely to find a bunch of oldies-but-goodies in there. And if you are interested in content contributed by and of special interest to the LGBTQ+ community. That's one stand out feature of Tubi service and for some viewers may be reason enough to sign on. In addition, Tubi is compatible with more than 25 viewing devices. So no matter how you're equipped to watch, chances are you'll be able to watch Tubi's free content.

What if you're already paying If you are paying for one or more streaming services? You might consider Tubitv as a nice supplement to the broader, more contemporary programming you already access through a paid provider. Maybe you'd love to watch a TV series that has disappeared from Netflix. Or you missed a critically acclaimed movie when it came to theaters a few years back and you've always regretted it. If so, you may well find it on Tubi. And you'll pay nothing for the pleasure.

The new yellow on purple scheme is terrible. Whoever came up with that scheme is not right. The red and black was simple, classy and fine, as well as easy on the eyes. Whoever decided to redecorate?Epic fail. And the 6-7 commercials? I was willing to hang in a little longer as I like the format, scheme & commercial length seriously close to removing channel.

Commercials are to be expected, but sometimes I get 6-7 commercials every 15-20 minutes. And even worse is when Spanish commercials are aired for an English speaking show. I speak English, Italian and German - why am I not seeing Italian and German commercials? At any rate, the number of commercials and especially the Spanish commercials are really turning me off.
