Xfinity is a brand launched by Comcast in 2010 to encompass a wide range of residential telecommunications services. The company offers TV programming, internet, mobile phone, home phone, and home security services both individually and in integrated bundles. Xfinity is owned by Comcast and is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Xfinity serves more customers nationwide than any other with over 9,000,000 subscribers.

You want choices? You won't be disappointed by Xfinity, one of the most flexible TV providers we've come across. With more than 9,000,000 subscribers nationwide, clearly Xfinity is doing something right and we suspect it has something to do with the myriad of options the company affords consumers, in terms of channels offered, bundled service plans, and prices to fit a range of budgets. However, as we reviewed the different cable TV plans offered, Xfinity's fees are on the high side when compared with other provider's.

Customers may also be confused by Xfinity's wide range of package choices. Plans that bundle services may allow you to choose from various levels for each service. It's a good thing that Xfinity's website features a "help me decide" function which matches you with deals that reflect your needs for type and level of service. It's important to note that not all plans are offered in all geographic areas, so you'll need enter your zip code when exploring Xfinity to find out which offers you're actually eligible for.

Customers interested exclusively in cable TV and are looking for a bare-bones plan can select Xfinity's Choice Limited plan, which offers 10+ channels for $30 per month. However, even with this basic plan, customers have the option to add individual channels for $5.99 per month or themed channel packages which cost between $10 and $30 per month. There's a big jump, both in terms of channels offered and price, when you step up to Xfinity's Digital Starter level. With Digital Starter, you pay $67.27 (more than twice what you'd pay for Choice Limited) but your choice expand accordingly with 140+ channels included. For $69.99 a month, you can select Digital Preferred for 220+ channels. At the high end, you can select Digital Premier and enjoy 260+ channels.

If you're looking for multiple services, Xfinity stands apart from other providers for the types and quality of services available. You can bundle TV, internet, mobile with speeds up to 5G, and home phone services. Previously, you could also purchase or bundle home security with other services but according to Xfinity's website they have temporarily suspended home security installation as an option. These services may be delivered through multiple devices but you can also access them through a single device when you rent one of Xfinity's Gateways. Gateway also incorporates parental control features. Bundling services can take the sting out of Xfinity's higher prices with increasing discounts as you bundle more services. Xfinity also encourges students to sign up for service with a free $150 prepiad Visa gift card and 6-month subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited.
