I engaged ATS in 2019 to negotiate a payment plan on my behalf. They also told me they would file my 2020, 2021 and 2022 tax returns for me. After four years and $5,000 and multiple requests to see any sort of verifiable evidence that they've done something, anything on my behalf, I not only find out my returns have not been filed -- although I was ensured many times that they have -- but the IRS has flagged my 2021 return for identity fraud. ATS tells me that now I have to call the IRS and sort it out myself. I agreed with this past clients who gave Anthem a 1 star. I'm a tax victim who gave this company $7500 to help with our tax problems. The end result was bad. They got us a non streamlined payment plan with the IRS that included interest and penalties and a tax lien. I already had a tax lien from 2011 you will think they help you not get another one on my tax record. Make matter short they promised to reduce your tax balance and they didn't do that either. Anthem Tax is interested in selling the idea of relief and protection by professionals from the IRS but they cannot do either. They did nothing after taking our money except delay and ignore us until we owe nearly double what it was when we hired them for $3200. They tried last year, at over 2 years on the case to get us to sign a settlement agreement to pay the full amount, no penalty abatement or anything. Nothing at all was done to resolve the problems we have with the audits, like a 1099 that is not ours for one year, and the auditor not using our 1040X for the second year. This was the best call I ever made. Call it now if you have tax debt hanging over your head every time you think of investing in a home, property, stock market, or anything else. Be very careful here people. They asked for 1500.00, guaranteed results All they did was set up a payment plan, which your account, bookkeeper, or CPA can do for 250-300 month. I was told that their attorneys were going to negotiate on my behalf. After 4 month, I received another 300plus interest bill from the IRS. Wen I called the number on the IRS bill, I asked her hasn't Anthem Tax been negotiating on my behalf. She NO, no one has negotiated on your behalf. Save your money as this company does a terrible job. They said the IRS had agreed to an installment plan but the IRS says the agreement was never finalized. I reached out to Anthem and they said they would help if I paid more money, which I refused and now they won't return my phone calls or emails. They also are not honoring their 100% money back guarantee. SCAM.
I contacted Anthem Tax Service (ATS) over 18 months ago. After speaking with Greg he guaranteed that they would save me at least the cost of the program of $4500. Initially I had great hopes, but after they kept asking for the same Power of Attorney 5 times from 5 different people I started to raise flags. My account was handed off to 5 different people and none of them apparently communicate with the previous. After 18 months I have still yet to see them reduce my tax liability by 1 PENNY! I'd like to leave a review specifically for Misty Cicero. I wasn't in debt super deep like some may be, but I was enough to where I felt that I needed to do something about it as I couldn't get it paid in one lump sum payment and wanted help on the total. She was hands down the best customer service rep I've dealt with. Took the time to thoroughly listen to my situation, reviewed everything and followed up with appropriate solution options. My tax situation was not able to be resolved through Anthem however, i worked with Misty to honor my 100% money back guarantee. She has been wonderful to work with. Everyone there is helpful and friendly and they will refund your money if your situation cannot be resolved.
In our initial call they offered me a money back guarantee. Their sales rep hounded me with endless phone calls. When i asked for the service agreement, he sent it over to me with no mention of a money back guarantee. I asked him to put it in the agreement, and he said he would talk to the finance department. Guess what? I never heard from him again. If this is considered the best tax relief company, you can only imagine the rest.
I looked up Anthem Tax Services and I was blessed to be introduced to David Cruz who helped me process my last 10 years of filings. I unfortunately did not have the money to pay for the fee up front. That's when I was introduced to Christian Gomez who helped me get financed which covered my whole fee with zero due up front!
