Terrible coverage. Avoid at all costs, because the costs will be yours. Basically non-coverage. Wasted my money and their 3rd party administrator, TPA, is the worst Will reject a claim and not let you know, had to find out from the hospital the claim was rejected and had do work on my end. Love to do “5-year look backs”to delay and stall the process. Still fighting them today - 6 months later. No way these folks deserve a 5star rating. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you sign with them, you better pray to don’t get sick.

I took out a short-term medical insurance policy because I fell through the cracks at healthcare.gov. I clearly stated when taking out the policy that I would be cancelling it after I received full coverage from ACA open enrollment. I submitted my written "request" (as they put it) to cancel coverage in December. After receiving a few emails in January requesting payment, I called (45 minutes on hold) and asked AGAIN that my policy be cancelled. It is now February and I am still receiving emails and phone calls telling me my premium is overdue. Avoid this company.

Pathetic customer service. There is no coverage for anything. It's like paying for a piece of paper. Beware of this fraud. They should be investigated.

Was never able to find a doctor that would take it. Felt like I had no coverage despite paying out monthly for the service.

How can a company that never pays out be given such a high rating? Look at the financial stability, it's great for a reason, you pay them, they pay no one. I was paying almost 500/month and they didn't cover anything from a doctors visit, prescriptions, to orthopedic care for a sprained ankle. They denied all claims and none of my local doctors would take them. You're throwing money away if you buy Everest-

The 'benefits' provided by the Everest short-term catastrophic health policy are not commensurate with the implied coverage advertised. In our case, my wife had an Everest policy when she suffered a heart attack in December 2016. The adjusted charges billed from the hospital totaled nearly $30,000 including emergency procedures and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stay for two days. Of that Everest paid $2500. The reason given is that the total maximum benefit for the ICU is $1250 per day. Essentially EVERYTHING was lumped under the ICU benefit, including the stent my wife received and all emergency surgery. Reading the fine print of the policy is not enough. The complexity of the...
