Sears is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

Replacement Windows at Sears

One of the key advantages of Sears replacement windows is that that they come from a one-stop-shopping company. Sears provides the windows (all of which are custom built to size), the labor, and the financing. This relieves the homeowner of having to coordinate among a fabricator, a vendor, and a finance company. The disadvantage of this is that consumers do not have a choice of window manufacturers. However, Sears' array of quality grades, exterior colors, interior finishes, and window types are likely serve the needs of residential consumers who prefer vinyl windows.

DO NOT BUY SEARS WINDOWS!!! I PURCHASED 4 SETS OF LARGE WINDOWS IN 2005. THE SEALS ARE BROKEN IN 3 OF THE 4. I HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY AND I WAS JUST TOLD BY SEARS THAT THEY DECLARED BANKRUPTCY AND MY WARRANTY IS VOID

I purchased my windows with a supposed lifetime warranty- have called for replacement twice. First time blown off. Second time voicemail saying — They are bankrupt and to get a local repair person. $7 grand in windows and a lifetime warranty and now this?? NOT HAPPY SEARS!!! Get better service from a child mowing the yard!!!

SEARS - TRANSFORM WINDOWS Warranty Issues. Let it be known that the warranty department for Sears Weather Beater Windows is being handled by a person named, Daphne Metts. In my 62 years of living, I've never encountered a service provider, especially from Sears - a previously highly respected service provider - so hostile, disrespectful, irresponsible, unprofessional, lackadaisical, rude and incapable of just doing the job. TRANSFORM WINDOWS and DAPHNE METTS has given me the ROYAL RUN AROUND for six weeks. I simply wanted to recoup the supposed benefits of purchasing a $1200.00 window with a lifetime warranty (on my Weather Beater Plus Double-Hung Window). Instead, I experienced... Read More

The first time we bought windows from Sears was early 2000. We moved in 2015 and began replacing our windows. I’ve always raved about these windows but no more! I am throughly disgusted the way my final window was installed. We have 6 inches walls and always had nice oak sills inside the house. The one stalled today left me no sill, it all outside. My special made blind does not fit and the outside does not look like the others. It looks like a sore thumb! I am very disappointed and will never recommend Transformer windows again! I bought my windows from Sears in 2015, I was told they had lifetime warranty by salesman and installer. I have had two balancers break in the window. One broke in 2016 and promptly repaired. In 2018 I called about the seconded balancer breaking. (this holds the top sash in the up position). Some other company has taken over the windows and I never get a call back. They also tell me I do not have any warranty left. I bought 16 top of the line Sears line of windows with the shading and all the perks. The company answering the sears window number I use to call is a home improvement company. They said they took over Sears windows. They told me for a repair man to service my windows I have... It's been since the end of August since I contracted and it's now the middle of October and I am waiting for their parts to be delivered and installed. They have never contacted me and I've had to call three times and they're always waiting parts. I have a substantial deposit and it's for 8 or 9 windows. I may have to find another resource, because now the weather is changing and I need this done. I've had other service contracts for this property and those were done soon and well. This company is doing very poorly. No customer care and outreach.

Shopped many companies for windows and doors. Decided on Sears because they had a great warranty, seemed to have a good product, and offered 2 years interest-free financing. Ordered product in late May. Told it would be about 3 months to receive product. We called to inquire in late July about the status of our project and were told that the sales rep should have called us. They didn’t have the doors that were ordered, so we would have to order doors, which would take another 3 months before they are ready (so, 2 months were lost). Numerous calls to check on the status of our project went unreturned. When they finally did call us to give an update, the project coordinator... Read More
