Healthy Paws Pet Insurance review
Healthy Paws delivers what they say they will. Their website lets clients easily compare costs for various annual deductibles and reimbursement percentages. Once the policy is active, they pay what they say they will, no hassles, no arguments. The website makes it easy to submit claims, you can even set it up to have the reimbursement checks deposited automatically into your bank account My 95-lb dog recently underwent extensive surgery for a torn cruciate ligament in her knee, and not only did Healthy Paws cover all the expenses related to her surgery and hospital stay, but they cover all her rehabilitation (physical therapy, underwater treadmill) which is making all the difference in her quick and strong recovery. When I tell our veterinary care professionals that I have Healthy Paws insurance for our dogs, they are always visibly relieved, because they know I will encourage them to do what is best for my pet, even if it is expensive, because I have the support of a great insurance company behind me.

When I signed up for pet insurance, I thought I would never need it. But Riker, my belgian malinois puppy, started limping just a few months afterward. After months of bed rest, xrays, and CT scans, we discovered a bone chip in his elbow, and the vet recommended surgery. I was terrified that we would be excluded from coverage due to my recent signup, or that maybe Healthy Paws would balk at the cost of surgery. However, they covered almost everything, including physical therapy afterwards, and the reimbursement checks were timely. I don't think I would have been able to afford the care on my own. Riker is still recovering, but I'm super happy with Healthy Paws.

Petplan Pet Insurance review
We have had Pet Plan for 7 years. As long as we have had our dogs. This past August was the first time we had to use the insurance. One of our dogs was attacked and had close to $5,000 in medical bills. Originally we had trouble logging into the website, but their IT department sorted it promptly and kept in touch with us. More importantly Jenny, and later Gina "Happiness Managers" did a great job of helping us. We were on vacation and did not receive notice that they needed additional information. When we returned we were worried that it would become a "hassle". However, we emailed Gina. She responded really quickly. Our vet then sent over the information on a Friday, and by the next Tuesday Gina confirmed that our reimbursement check was on the way! Excellent customer service and big thank you to Jenny and Gina as excellent Happiness Managers.

Petplan Pet Insurance review
I have had Petplan Insurance for about five years for my dog Madi. Madi is now eight years old and recently developed an allergy that make her very itchy, which means we have been seeing a Dermatologist. These visits are not cheap, but Petplan has been very good about reimbursing me for my expenses. I recently called Petplan to change some account information and ask about a couple of claims. Nick was very helpful with these matters and even called back the next day to let me know that my claims had been processed and my reimbursement was on the way. I really appreciate his follow-up; which was unexpected.

Petplan Pet Insurance review
I've had PetPlan for years, I think around 8 years now and I cannot be happier with their coverage, speed of processing claims and the amounts that they cover and reimburse. They do not split hairs, and I never had a question or a doubt that they were not being fair in their reimbursements. I've had three cats covered through them, out of which one had to be put down due to acute renal failure and it cost in the ER hospital fees in thousands of $ (LA, CA). They paid me back everything, minus the deductible and up to 80% for the ER/specialty care. Then I adopted my second cat, who is still rather young, but he just had a second bout of pancreatitis in his short 5 years of live. He barely survived and the bill again was in thousands of $$$ for having to rush him in between an ER and ER Specialty hospital. PetPlan again covered a fair deal and sent me a check within 10 days. No questions asked. Fair coverage, happy customer and my cat pulled through, thankfully to this great insurance and even more so to the staff of the two hospitals that took a good care of him. Thank you PetPlan!

Regarding the online quoting system + let me include multiple pets on same quote - can't figure out how to pay an annual amount rather than monthly - they add $25 to the first payment for account set up =deal breaker

I've not actually had my pets covered under this insurer, but they are among the ones I obtained quotes from while shopping around. I have 2 cats; a 4 yr old male & a 12 yr old female. The female is actually in better health than the male, with his frequent UTIs, however because she is over 8 yrs old the best plan they will give me is a $500 deductible & 70% reimbursement, with various limitations. And at the same rate as the comprehensive plan for my male, which has a $100 deductible & reimburses at 90%.
