Care/of - Overview

Care/of does not offer one multivitamin but rather a mix of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and other supplements designed around the needs of each customer and delivered together to their door. Care/of's packages include a 30 day supply vitamins and minerals in daily packets, protein powders, and quick sticks, which are nutrients in small sleeves meant to be consumed on the go. 

Care/of appears to evaluate each of its offerings according to existing research considering the number of studies, consistency of results, magnitude of results, and methodologies. The company provides references to the studies and research it cites, but we cannot independently confirm the validity of said research.

Research Library

Perhaps the best feature of Care/of's website is the extensive and easily navigable research library. The company presents a summary of each of their products, the number of studies (complete with double blind placebo), and a summary of the research complete with references to the literature. Care/of also features an app that helps customers follow their personalized plan. The app helps them stick with their health plan, offers dietary recommendations, and tracks and explains the supplements they are taking. 

Vitamin and Mineral Composition

Care/of asks for some personal information in order to tailor a supplement plan for each customer. It is presented in the form of a fun and easy to take five minute online quiz. Some of the information Care/of will require includes:

• Other personal information

Care/of then delivers a list of individual vitamins, minerals, herbs, probiotics, powders, and quick sticks that correspond to all the answers the customer gave. They can be purchased all together in a pack or individually. Since this is not a multivitamin per se, we can't evaluate the overall levels of all the different ingredients. We can evaluate our own personal results.

After we answered the questionnaire, Care/of recommended the following six supplements:

• Magnesium - 400 mg
• Vitamin C - 250 mg

We can only look at the dosages of Vitamin C and Magnesium, as the other supplements and plant-based ingredients have no daily guidelines set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and their efficacy and safety has not been as extensively studied as that of conventional vitamins and minerals. The company notes that its supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. 

250 mg of Vitamin C is more than the daily value recommended, but well below the maximum daily value for men. 400 mg of Magnesium is right in line with the FDA %DV.
