I would give Unpakt 3 of 5 stars for ease of use - their interface is super intuitive for planning your move, and customer service is great. Unfortunately, my experience with the movers they contract with has been subpar. My car shipped out on the same day as my stuff in Unpakt's contractor and got here in 5 days (with 9 other stops along the way). Its been three weeks and I cant even reach the Unpakt movers/contractors. The phone line listed for them is dead, and the representative hasn't replied to a single email. When I researched and found another phone for my movers, they told me they would call back with additional details. They didn't. From this experience, I would probably say I... Read More
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE BY ANY MEANS I booked a service with Unpakt A MONTH AND A HALF prior to my move. I live in CA now, but I had a rental apartment in FL that i was closing my lease and needed to move my belongings to a storage unit. I traveled across country to meet the movers and one day prior to my move, they called me to cancel it. Here is the email they sent to me after they called: "We regret to inform you that Apartment Movers of Orlando has declined the move you booked on Unpakt.com. We couldn't find any other movers to move for you because of the following: No movers are available on this move date" How come they had no movers available, if I booked a month and a... Read More
Great concept...HORRENDOUS customer service! I'll be honest...I'm fully supportive of having a middle company guarantee the price of your move (especially if you are going cross country). I've only moved cross-country once but the lack of a transparent pricing structure is unreal and SO costly. There is room for growth in this industry and I'm glad someone is working to improve that process. That being said, the customer service at Unpakt is HORRENDOUS. I highly suggest you make sure you have all your moving inventory is added the first time (or else you will need to re-approve billing as the prices change). This makes for a very unclear process when people are juggling so much at... Read More
Horrid company which is absolutely worthless at customer services. Our movers were rude and put extra charges on the contract after we signed it, and tried to charge us for it. I called and chatted with unpakt and they told me I had to take it up with the moving company. They made no attempt to resolve or correct the issue and were rude about it. Would never work with them again.
I recommended this company to my 80 yo father because of their outstanding reviews. BIG MISTAKE! Don't believe them! Stay away from this company!!! The prices aren't what they promise! They take your money then wash their hands of you. Customer service is deplorable! I'm sorry I ever found them online!
I like how the company is approaching the moving process and appreciate its efforts. There is potential... However, customer service is definitely lacking in professionalism and policies and guidelines should be reviewed: If a customer successfully books a move (and receives that confirmation in the form of an email), the mover and unpakt should: 1) Honor the commitment or make every possible effort to do so (or don't say that it's confirmed, or guaranteed in the first place) 2) Not allow it to be cancelled from the mover's side. It should be a binding agreement. If in the case that a mistake was made, 3) Proper and adequate notification and compensation must be provided for the... Read More
