Latest Safe Ship Moving Services Reviews
The experience was bad post signing the contract. Everything the Salesperson at Safe Ship said with their "Family-owned, veteran owned, and A+" was a lie given they contacted out to a company called Just Pro Moving. Just Pro was terrible. The drivers and staff were Russian and minimal English Skills. From leaving items in a "closed closet" and having to ship separately, sending an initial truck with a capacity 300 sqft less than the capacity I already PAID FOR, advising I WAS TO PAY even more despite knowing the estimates capacity needed (I had to fight this the day of...). When I called Customer Service at Just PRO and Safe Ship to simply advise of the at first minor miss steps, missed... Read More
Mr. William Jarosz of Safe Ship Moving Services plays the old bait-and-switch routine. He gave me a quote, and I paid a deposit. I found out later that the deposit I paid was actually a " broker fee". However, Mr. Jarosz isn't even a licensed broker in the state of Florida. I was provided with a signed broker payment authorization form that I did not even sign.....I am a special education teacher who is extremely upset with the treatment I received from this company. DO NOT USE THEM TO MOVE.
Although I felt comfortable with how I was treated by Safe Ship, the experience ended up horrid. The company that actually did my moving, Oasis Moving from Las Vegas, damaged almost every piece of furniture (I believe an end table came through fine, a dresser that is over 80 years old has a scratch, but not a big deal... broken legs, missing legs, a few pieces weren't even padded.) To make matters worse, it's taken 9 months to finally get Oasis to acknowledge that I have a claim, and they need to verify my address: the address they delivered to. The address that is on my claim form, AND the address that is on the multiple (+10) emails that I have sent that were NOT acknowledged in any way.... Read More
When I first contacted them, everything went well. They quoted a price for what I had listed, and even gave me a military discount. The price was very reasonable...even less than I had hoped for. They indicated that price could change somewhat if the my list changed, or if the furniture was heavy or bulky. Fair enough. When it came nearer the move, I indicated a list change. They then added an additional monies for the change, bringing the total for the move to $5,333.22. Now it's getting into the neighborhood of what other movers would charge. I was informed that there could be an additional charge for heavy or bulky furniture. So, I figure an additional two or three hundred dollars... Read More
Was moved to South Carolina by Safe Site agents. Really bad service and no follow up. Contact Safe Site about receiving others people items. Stated they would have the moving company contact us and arrange for a pickup of the items. This was three months ago and we still have heard nothing from Safe Site or the company. Sure the missing pictures thar someone wrapped so carefully would be appreciated if they fi=ound their way back to the owners. Also have some broken items and missing boxes. These two companies are totally unacceptable to do business with.
I recently reached out to SafeShip for a quote regarding my upcoming relocation, and the experience was nothing short of frustrating. From the moment I made the initial call, it was clear that their focus was not on customer service but on pressuring potential clients into making hasty decisions. After providing the necessary details for a quote, I was transferred to a representative named Robbie. I explicitly stated multiple times that I was only seeking a quote and was not ready to commit to anything. However, Robbie's persistence quickly crossed the line into aggressive sales tactics. Despite my clear communication about pending job offers and the need to compare options, he kept... Read More
They didn't give the service I paid for. They didn't come the day they was suppose to. The movers was passive aggressive. Had to keep going behind them. Didn't go by inventory. Took things they were told not to. They over charged me. Took 2 1/2 weeks to get furniture. Lost 2 boxes of important things. Had to take pictures of receipt, was told No when asked for final receipt. They broke things. They were leaving things in cabinets and closets. Next stop movers was the company. It was a horrible experience.
I understand the skepticism from using this company. After I booked and paid a deposit I became skeptical myself. But my experience with them was successful overall . My final payment did end up being $2k above my original quote, but that was because I added items and you also have to understand that they don’t know the exact size of your furniture so if they underestimate, this will make your quote lower but when the movers arrive they will inform you of that and it will affect the price. If you live on the second or third floor, know that you are subject to additional fees ($10 per step with the first 7 being free). The movers had a flexible arrival date of Saturday or Sunday... Safe Ship contracted movers with 2 star ratings for our move. Worst experience ever. Added on extra charges and charged for made up cubic feet.
1000% agree with all other comments, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Worst customer service ever, if you can get anyone to call you back. They will do the bait an switch just like everyone else has stated. When you originally go through your house they will say bed, ok 1 item, then when you have your review meeting, which is already after you have locked into them, they will say oh you have a bed ok, well that is 4 items and now your quote will be tripled!! Fight this!! In general just DO NOT USE THEM, they are a broker so you aren't working directly with the moving company, and SAFE SHIP, doesn't give a $hit on how they screw you! I would give them 0 stars or negative stars if I could.
Never never I mean never use this company . Even if you’re close to your deadlines, do not be tempted to do business with this company. They will lie and deceive to get your business. They are just brokers.
If you read nothing else, my main takeaway is don’t ever use this company for your move. My recent experience was horrible from start to finish. I am in the military and we move frequently and I can say this was by far the worst experience I have had to date. When I first called to ask about their services and quotes I was directed to a member of their sales team. Her name was Maggie. I thought she was extremely thorough and helpful… but reflecting back on it now I see that she was mostly just very good at her job at securing a sale. She glossed over the fact that this company is a broker and they facilitate moves (in fact I don’t recall her even saying those words). She states that the... Read More
Like the other 100000 people said Run . They are a scam they quite you one price and show up with a different story . You either pay 100000 more or your stuff does not get moved. The customer service manager “SHANIKA” is horrible . If I could leave a zero star rating I would. If they have ripped you off too report them to the BBB!
DO NOT USE THS COMPANY< RUN< RUN! They charged me over $18,000 to pack me up and move me. I am physically handicapped. They took the money, and sent 7 horrible men to my house. These men moved 5 items and damaged 4 of these items. $18,000 to move 5 items! I paid for full pack up. These men arrived with a mini truck, no boxes, nothing. When I called safe ship, the lady laughed and said to me, "Too bad, you signed the contract, if they move one item on the list, that is all you get!" These people are evil! They don't even deserve one star!
Absolutely the worst service ever. No accountability towards the customer after advance is collected. The carriers are horribly non-communicative and they don’t have a planned date - you are at their mercy.
Safe Ship does not deliver. I initiated a service with Safe Ship Moving services, to relocate household goods from Florida to Maryland. Amount of goods was equivalent to the items needed for a one-bedroom apartment. Our needs as expressed on the day we agreed was that delivery was needed on 6/24/24 and we were flexible on the pick-up date. The day we were contacted to schedule the pick-up, we were told the delivery would be sometime after the 24th of June. Safe Ship is the broker of the move (they do not move anything) Safe Bound is the shipper who accepted the job (making the move) Timeline of discussions on 6/14/24. 10:39 • received a call from Safe Bound Moving company (the... Safe Ship moving services is the worst. My available date for delivery was June 19th. That date was filled out by the moving company foreman. It's now June 28th and nothing. I received one text three days ago which I responded to, When I called to find out where my stuff was, I was told that they did not have a driver for the truck my stuff is in. I have 14,000 worth of computer equipment in that truck which is just sitting g somewhere in the heat. This place is a bad.bad joke. Not to mention the price went up from about 7000 to 13,000 even though I did not take any if the stuff I added on my quality control call. They want another 3400 when and if my stuff is delivered, I'm not paying it.... Read More
Our experience with this company was horrible. They start out with a competitive bid for the job. Ours started at 18 K. By the time of final delivery the cost was 30K. Almost half of our possessions were damaged or beyond repair. Safe Ship doesn’t actually do any of the move, they sub contract to other companies that do the actual move. We did not find our sub contractor, All Together Movers, reputable or caring for our possessions. I could go on with many other issues but I think my point has been made. My advice is to avoid this company.
This Company is the WORST!! I had the worst moving experience with this Company. Their Customer Service is the Worst. My Contact Agent Paul Ouellette Logistics Coordinator was the Worst. He was supposed to help with my move and make it smooth, HE DIDN'T!! I had to take care of all the Details. I Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Run from them!! They are a Sham. I used them because they say Veteran Owned, so I gave them a try, me being a Veteran myself. They just use the Phrase "Veteran Owned"
Do not use this company. Please find someone else. They are a Broker, a "middle-man", and not a moving company. My experience is very similar to the many complaints I've now read both here and on BBB website. Here's their procedure: They entice you with a low price. They may even tell you that they have a small window of opportunity to move you from point A to B, because they just happen to have an empty truck passing your way. Regardless, they will pressure you into signing a document with them and not tell you everything you really need to know. A recurring example of this is they will tell you they know how much space your stuff will need, but they will document much less space... Read More
This is company is a broker! They are middle men. Do not waste your time with Safe Ship Moving company. They are comprised of sales agents at the top that promise you things that cannot be delivered. On the initial sales call while they were drafting my binding-estimate I notified them that I have one major requirement. I live in a city and cannot have a tractor trailer pulling up to block traffic, I need a 26' box truck. They said that's ok, no problem. When the movers came to pick up my belongings, they told me that a big tractor trailer will be delivering on my belongs to final destination. The broker never instructed the movers of this. Trying to get on the phone with Customer Service... Read More
Ship safe is not a moving company, they are cons and thieves who who claim to be moving brokers. In other words they are terrible middle men who provide no real service. DO NOT use them. Setting your money on fire is a better use of it, you’ll at least get heat.
It’s a scam. They say they are Veteran Company. The people that talk to you will sweet talk you. However, after we hired them we had the worst experience. No one we encountered after hiring them was a Veteran. Our estimate was $4000 to move my elderly mother. When then showed up to move her they bullied her into additional charges totaling over $7,700. Our delivery was delivered late and 85% of my mothers things were damaged. The boxes had water damage like they were left outside. We were heartbroken. My mothers whole life to broken and we have photos. Do not fall for it. Hire another company. There are so many out there. Safe Ship is a total sham.
I recently moved from Jackson, Mississippi, and was thoroughly impressed with Safe Ship Moving. Their team were professional and punctual throughout the process. The pricing was pretty god and offered great value for the quality of service provided. Overall, Safe Ship Moving made my moving experience smooth and painless. Highly recommended Safe Ship for anyone not wanting to move themselves.
Do NOT use. This is the worst experience in moving, 30 days ago our items were picked up, the company is UNRESPONSIVE on delivery date. They have lied to us weekly that the items are on the way and say they "cannot get in touch with movers as they are only the broker". We have submitted complaint on BBB. Absolutely insane that they cannot let us know where our stuff is or when it will arrive.
