I signed with Monster Moving when I relocated to Knoxville, TN. Monster farmed my move to another company without my consent. That moving company did a terrible job. My furniture was placed in a storage unit in Knoxville as our new home wasn't ready yet. I was finally able to move into my new home two weeks ago and received the shock of my life. There were multiple items broken or destroyed. They broke the foot off one of my Queen Anne chairs so that had to be thrown out. They also broke my china cabinet and part of my entertainment system which resulted in those items being thrown out. One of my dining room chairs was in pieces with no possible way to repair it. Worst experience of my life! Run in the other direction! Do not book! This HORRIBLE company picked up my house items on 7/29 in CA and was to deliver to CO within 14 days. They delivered late on 8/15- received text on 8/13 they would deliver on 8/14, we were ready but they didn't come until 8/15! I was overcharged thousands of dollars (quoted $4500, paid $7895 on 8/4/2021) and they tried to get a shuttle fee of additional $1200 but the movers told me to refuse because the truck was not a 'shuttle'. Every large item was completely demolished or extremely damaged beyond repair. The company promised door to door service but instead loaded and unloaded my items in warehoused multiple times... DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! Read below for entire story. Short version - I paid 6k to have over 3k lost in transit or destroyed. Worst moving experience. I am reporting them to every business bureau I can. I booked my cross-country move with Monster Moving LLC on 6/16/21. I set my pickup date for 6/23/21 in Los Angeles, CA and I was told that the arrival estimate in Brooklyn, New York would be 4-21 days from the first available date of delivery, which was 7/1/21. This company is the worst ever. I paid them to move a small amount of stuff to NY and they broker everything out to other companies that absolutely suck! They have had my stuff for almost 45 days. The drivers they hired as for extra cash to unload stuff and when the doorman would not pay they left to go make another delivery and have not returned. This is the worst moving company in the world. DO NOT USE THEM!
RUN! SAVE YOURSELF FROM BEING THE NEXT VICTIM !!!! This company contracted out another company (American Knights) to do my move. On arrival they up charged my moving quote by $1000 on arrival for clothing items that I already claimed on the original quote. They lost and damaged multiple items. At first they seemed great to work with until you sign the contract they got you, and will wash their hands of you. I was literally told that I can no longer speak with the agent on my case after 21 business days of not receiving my items!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HEAR THIS MESSAGE: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL BE NICE AND SWEET WHILE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEN THEY WON'T DO ANY OF THE THINGS YOU NEED THEM TO DO THEY SHOWED UP 3 DAYS LATE WE PAID $680 FOR THEM NOT TO SHOW UP ON TIME THEY TOOK 19 DAYS TO BRING OUR STUFF. You guys are a total joke of a moving company. Fleeced my sons move from California to Maryland. A total "bait and switch" company if there was ever one. You guys are con men and will drive prices up just prior to delivery since you have the leverage because you have the clients valuables and goods. I will be commenting on your company at FMCSA, American Moving Storage Association and Better Business Bureau. If I can make one person shy away from doing business with you my work will be done. Your company is a joke and should not be allowed to conduct business!!
Monster movers are con men and thieves.
They jack up the price by 40% , deliver late and stole my valuables, electronics, computers and paintings
Please DO NOT use this company. The prices seem reasonable until your stuff is delivered and you realize they've helped themselves to all of your valuables. I had over $10k in stuff STOLEN from inside boxes and when I told them, they did not care. If it was my company and I knew that my customers were being ROBBED, I would try to fix it. Not them though. They just shrug and say oh well. I had so many heirlooms stolen, jewelry, electronics and more stolen from different boxes. Save yourself the headache and please go with someone else. They are horrible!
We were being gifted a twin-door fridge and 42 inch TV. Our benefactors were leaving the country for good, so we needed to act fast. We had heard of Monster Moving but never used them. In one phone call, the job was set up, the stuff picked up and delivered to us. The speed left me in a daze, plus how affordable it was. Thanks guys, you’re just extraordinary.
I could not have been more impressed with the moving crew’s professionalism and how they handled our belongings. The team was creative in solving problems within minutes. They took a ton of stress off us during the move. The experience was most pleasant. We were very happy and definitely recommend them.
Our movers were huge, strong and energetic. They were ‘gentle giants’, pleasant and with a smile on their faces, always. They moved with speed, from the packing, loading, unpacking and reassembling of some stuff, they were good. They handled the items with care and utilized the packing materials very well. I recommend their services.
The customer service from day one was friendly, thorough and personal. The changes my wife kept on making last minute were dealt with easily and with understanding. The crew was friendly, fast, professional and fun to work with, my seven year old son will attest to that. I'd use these guys again and again for every move, they are the best.
I did my booking last minute and was mighty desperate. If only the crew could fathom what they had done for me by saying yes. No words could do me justice, I thank them with all my heart. Then, they go ahead and treat me like a king, they were affordable, efficient and timely. I had died and had gone to heaven, thanks guys.
I have never come across such an honest, friendly and efficient moving service such as this. It was a real pleasure doing business with you guys, I mean it. Everything happened according to plan and on time. The number of hours billed was correct, no hidden costs whatsoever. Thanks guys.
These guys got home on time to begin and they were damn fast. And for only three blokes, that was some fete and a half. Also, nothing,and I mean nothing skipped their eyes. Having moved around quite a bit, these guys blew my mind senseless. Next time I move, and move I shall (occupational hazard), it’ll be them, most definitely!
If anything impressed me with these guys, it was their logistical ability to think on their feet. Packing and unpacking of my stuff, into and out of the truck was a breeze for them. Once on the road, that’s when I knew these guys metal, and I’m thankful I chose them for the job. You guys are awesome beyond compare, mad love!
I love the orchestra. I think Beethoven, Mozart, et al were gods on earth. My wife will tell you that it takes a lot for me to admit to this, but I think during our move, the crew came close to them in how they worked. The symphony and rhythm with which they worked was nothing short of ‘godly’. I am in awe of your skill. Thank you.
After their quote, I almost went with the second “best” company I had contacted thinking their affordability was somehow pegged to the quality of work. Not in the least. Their good reputation is more than well deserved, the customer care is amazing and they’re a highly trained set of guys. It was a wonderful experience. I thank my lucky stars.
It was more than a pleasure working with you guys, no doubt. Your crew was on top of their game, hands down from start to finish. There were no hidden costs that unexpectedly popped up from thin air. There was absolutely no damage caused, which I appreciate greatly. Thank you guys and I will be back.
This home was close to my heart. I got married here and raised my two kids here, there was a lot of sentimentality here. If nothing else (which it is not), the moving crew was so courteous, so hands-on, and they helped us come to terms with a new start. They were not just there to do a job, they helped us move on, thank you very, very much guys.
The sales rep was thorough, patient in answering all my questions. This was my first time using movers, so there was a lot of uncertainty. The crew was outstanding as well and we couldn't have asked for better movers. There was no damage and they worked incredibly fast. I do recommend these guys and will be singing their praises from the mountain-tops.
Monster Moving are the best. These guys were honest to the bone, no hidden costs, arrived on time and worked according to schedule. On the day of the move, my wife and I sat on the lawn and stuff just got done. It got to a point we were pleading with them to take a break. Thanks a lot Monster Moving for a job most well done.
