SCAM ALERT! We had 24/7 Logistic Services to bid our move. They did a lengthy video walk through our home and provided us a ‘BINDING CONTRACT’ that compared to a competitor, they were 17% cheaper than Atlas Company PLUS 24/7 offered a coupon if we booked with them offering to beat any competitor by 10%. We signed the BINDING CONTRACT. We received a call from 24/7, 4 days before the move and Lisa had told me that we had to do another walk through to make sure no other items had been added. Stay away from this company. The moving experience with 24/7 Logistics started out ok but ended up being a nightmare. We had an out of state move from a house to a 2 bedroom apartment. We asked upfront if the move would be subcontracted, and were told it would not, however that's exactly what happened. The load up was fine- 3 men working efficiently. The delivery was unimaginable. Only the driver was there to unload. No additional help, and we had some very large and heavy furniture. The driver said no one else would be available to help. This company lies. When they first contacted me they showed me the DOT reports. They told me the company that contacted earlier was a broker but they are not. They said they had their own drivers and fleet. They convinced me to cancel with the previous company which ended up me losing over 1500 dollars, that company only gave you 72 hours to cancel. So the agent went over my list of belongings and quoted me about 7000 dollars after the senior discount. So I gave them a deposit of 1580. A week before I was to move another agent called for a virtual walk-through. He quoted me a new number which was over 2000 dollars more. Many damaged belongings, too much to write. Not full service as they claim to be. Sub out the labor and logistics, Will charge you more at time of pickup. Fact. I encourage you to read their reviews, and also check out their BBB reviews.
Do not use this company!!! They are thieves and will take you and your property hostage. They charged us $14,000 to move from California to Arizona, when we were initially quoted $6,000. They broke our large screen TV along with many other things and stole a few items as well. They we're drinking while they were working too cause we found alcoholic beverage containers in the trash can. They will overcharge you and say you underestimated the move even when you went over everything with the bologna customer service rep. If at all possible avoid using this company. Terrible service no one ever calls you back. Was quoted .$6800 to move my furniture ended up paying close to 14000.. And they want all final payments made in cash. They have damage close to $5500 Of my furniture. Have been trying for several months To make a freight claim. And they have never sent me the information. They use nothing but subcontractors to conduct all their businesses..
WORST MOVERS EVER - DO NOT USE - Almost all of our furniture was damaged by 24/7 - Literally almost every piece. No response after 1 month of trying to contact 24/7 including formal complaint thru BBB also without response.
I was also told that this company does not use brokers to move the items. Based on my interaction with the movers that came to my house (and left packaging shrapnel everywhere, btw), and how even they couldn't get in contact with the main office, that seems like lie. It has been two weeks since the movers picked up my things from California. Guess where my stuff is currently? CALIFORNIA. It hasn't even made it onto a delivery truck.
This is an astoundingly horrible company! Quite willing to tell us whatever we needed to hear - until they got our deposit - then created a move for us that was a total nightmare.
Warning! Do not use these people. They have only been in business a year, and destroyed most of my things and lost EIGHT items. I have moved five times, and of course there are always little problems, but this company is by far the worst I have had. They left my stuff in a warehouse, where it was left in water and damaged, or perhaps it was soaked when they off loaded a move that took priority. All my electronics are ruined, hundreds of dollars in books, furniture has water damange.. my 4000 dollar tempurpedic mattress has mold damage. I've moved 5 times prior to this move from California to Virginia. Of all the moving companies, this was the worst by far. Not only can I not recommend their services, I will never use them again. They are focused on making profits at the expense of the customer.
I guess the 1 star is for them remembering my name. I don't have much to say because I can't sit here trying to write volumes for such serious damage that was done.
This was possibly the worst moving experience ever imaginable - they “lost” a lot of my big ticket items and broke a few very pricey pieces. They were late and unresponsive and very rude. Please do not use ever.
We recently relocated from California to North Carolina. After getting several quotes, we decided to go w/ 24/7 logistics. The estimate process was not very good. The truck they sent to pick up our stuff was not big enough. The guys who loaded our things seemed to be very professional. However, on the back end, it was a disaster. The guy who showed up at my door to deliver seemed surprised when I told him there was a 7.5 foot grand piano that required 3 people to load (there were only 2 of them). They literally hired two people off the street, one was intoxicated. I called & told the lady there was a drunk man unloading my furniture. NOTHING was done. They were fine with a drunk person... LOTS of damage! What wasn't not delivered (tools, linens, etc) was either broken (mirrors they packed), scratched (all of our furniture) or damaged (busted a king size bed headboard that ended up in the dumpster). L A Z Y delivery guys. Scratched hard wood floors. Told to get a marker and it will be like new. Elizabeth is the worst customer service person we have ever encountered in our entire life (and we're old folks). Power washer mysterically reappeared after suggesting sticky fingers, obviously was wrongly used/abused, and then didn't work. BEWARE of this company!!!!! Keep a careful count of your boxes as you pack, as they go on the truck and as they come off. It you don't count at every step, boxes will NOT be there!! They keep very shady records and they will NOT pay for missing items!!!!!!!!!!Hire a reputable mover and pay their fee. You will have a better chance of getting all of your items. They will NOT PAY for missing items. I lost over $1,000 in goods and they have refused to pay a penny!!! STAY AWAY!!!
The company lost several 1000 dollars worth of our items and memories. They picked up our 4 bedroom house in NY. When our closing date was moved, they said they would store our things free. After just a few days we closed and asked for our things. They said we had to wait until their schedule ( and another family was ready). A few days later they moved our things to South Carolina. Our belongings were packed in a truck with another family! They unloaded the truck so fast it filled a two car garage and they left. Not sure where to start with this miserable experience. Started off with scheduling to be at our house at 9 AM. They called and said they were running a little bit late. They showed up at 6 PM with two people to start packing a 5500 square ft house with a 4500 square foot basement. They packed until 10 PM when we said we need to get ready to wind down for the night. They requested starting at 5 AM because they were behind, we said okay and met them at 5 AM. If I was able to give it a zero I would. I moved from PA to Florida. At first the crew that picked up my property were great. They packed and wrapped everything up nicely. When I arrived in Florida I called and within 2ndays they delivered. Sounds g old so far right? Well it get really bad. At first when they delivered my property there was only 2 guys and they were really lazy. They took breaks after every item they brung in, not that big of a deal to me. I'm writing this review almost 6 months after my move as I wanted to give the company a fair chance and directly address my concerns with them but they never acted through on their promises. The entire process was a disappointment and I would like to spare someone else the grief. Items reached us MUCH later than we expected per conversations when finalizing a contract. Please pay attention to your exact contact despite what sales will attempt to tell you. We opted to have the movers pack for us thinking items would be secured but aside from our boxes all items arrived damaged to the point they had to be trashed. 1.) Biggest scam ever, lowball amount for quote, packed all boxes as told, no voids to avoid crushing.
2.) End result, 25% of contents arrived broken, plastic bins shattered. The vehicle had to be involved in an accident.
3.) I have no recourse because I signed off before inspection. Shame on Consumer Affairs for endorsing 24/7 Logistics.
I moved cross country from CA. My things arrived a month later than anticipated. 6 and 10 foot ladder and an entire wardrobe box gone with no explanation. The driver said that every house on his route had things missing.
initially 24/7 logistics seemed expensive but a decent option for a state to state move. The pick-up of my household items was adequate but no care was taken to protect the property (rugs, doors). Several boxes I had marked to not be packed were moved to the truck without permission and inventory was not corrected once I noted this problem. When my delivery occurred, it was clear that only the driver (if him) was employed by the company. Workers were local and had been called that day. Don't believe this "moving company." There's a smooth talker you initially deal with who will tell you that he actually knows the team of movers who will pack your belongings. Don't believe it. He'll give you a 4-day window for the men to get there, but you don't know which day until the last minute. Only two men showed up on my first day to pack my house. I don’t believe they were from the company I hired. The head guy spent much of the day trying to get more men on the job and complaining about all the breakables I had.
