BEWARE!! I cancelled my subscription weeks ago and Sun Basket just randomly sent me a delivery and billed my credit card. I wasn't even home to receive it as I was not expecting it. I contacted their customer support via email twice. The first time no response. The second time, they said they could only issue a $20 refund. That means I'm still being charged almost $60 for something I did not order and for food that was spoiled as it sat in my building lobby.

Food arrived with seafood and meat completely thawed and not at all cold. Checked shipping tracker and it sat in a non-refrigerated warehouse for SIX days without being properly packed in ice. Order was useless and I thought maybe I could at least eat the soup, but I got horrible food poisoning from it. They should use a faster shipping method if they aren't going to use sufficient ice for meat/seafood on a 6 day transit cycle without refrigeration. Also, they use shady business practices, so good luck getting that "100% guarantee". Hint: at best, they may give you a partial credit "on your next order" (of rotten, room temperature seafood... yeah, thanks)

I saw advertising for your Sun Basket Meal Delivery offering your oven-ready meals. When I went to your website I was extremely disappointed by the following: 1- Having to "sign-in" to your business before I was able to review your choices of menus, meals, prices, etc.! 2- My only reason for going to your website was to obtain information on your "Oven Ready" meal plans. Although there is a "New Oven-Ready" option on your website, and "order" using this option could not be placed! 3- BTW, how are you able to report 4.5 * Positive 8 Reviews/10 Reviews, when all the 8 Reviews posted are NEGATIVE?!! Not an ideal way with which to start a new business relationship!! Respectfully,... Read More

Absolutely terrible. I was charged and never received the last three weeks of deliveries I ordered. I placed each order as usual and never received any of them. I contacted customer support and was promised that each would arrive and each one was continually delayed day by day by OnTrac until each one was so late that the box was destroyed. I finally received a all from a customer service rep who, when I pressed for reassurance that my double order for my Christmas guests would absolutely be delivery. The delivery never arrived and then Sunbasket only refunded part of the fee they charged. I will never order from them again even though the meals were good when they were delivered over the... The first deliverly the produce and meal was of good quality and the receipes tasty. The second box the produce was definetly not the quality of the first. Will give it one more try then cancel if the quality is lacking. Definitely expensive for sub par produce and protein.

My last login to the Sun Basket website was on May 16, 2017 which is when I cancelled this program. Sun Basket sent me a marketing email on Feb 18, 2019. I clicked on it, but did not order anything. In fact, I have not ordered anything from Sun Basket since May 2017. On Feb 23, 2019 I saw a charge on my credit card from Sun Basket for $80.51. I called immediately to complain, but Sun Basket would not refund the $80.51. A supervisor claimed there was a pop up indicating that a former customer would be signing up again if they clicked on anything in their email. I have a pop up blocker so I did not receive this notice. What a deceptive way of doing business! I did not choose a menu or... Read More

I would have given a 5 star rating but for the packaging. I have no suggestion for how to fix other than to require that some ingredients be assumed to be on hand already by the consumer. The food and variety so far have been quite good, albeit touted to be easy cooking for even beginners, I found some meals to be labor intensive. The package itself, arrived on time, with all materials (with the exception of plastic wrapped individual ingredients) to be recycleable. There was no waste due to the expert portioning of ingredients. All produce arrived fresh. Only organic produce is used. Some meats have an option to choose organic for an added cost. It was simple to put meals on hold, at no... Read More

My problem-- and why I cancelled immediately upon receiving my first shipment-- was all the plastic waste. There is no way I can sleep at night wasting that much plastic in single serving little cups of sauce, etc. Especially because I put in so much effort to avoid plastic waste in my life. Too bad, because the meals were convenient, healthy and delicious.

We have been using Sun Basket on and off for almost almost a year. We love how fresh and sustainably sourced the ingredients are and the abundance of flavorful meal options each week. There are plenty of dietary options to try (Paleo, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, Pescatarian, etc) and quick 20-minute meals for those nights when you don't have much time. One of the best things for us is the option for Monday delivery. With all those great things, we are going to start trying other plans because of cost. In the end, it comes to $78 a week (2 meals a night for 3 nights a week).
