Factor, formerly known as Factor 75, offers a science-based way to eat great tasting food that improves how your mind and body perform. The company is headquartered in Illinois and delivers to customers across the entire continental US. Customers can order organic, keto, paleo, and gluten-free options with locally-sourced ingredients that don’t sacrifice taste and variety. Factor has a Trustpilot score of 8.6.

Factor - Overview

Factor offers a variety of health-conscious meal delivery options including Ketogenic, Paleo, gluten-free, low-carb, and dairy-free. Customers can choose 4, 6, 8, 12, or 18 meals a week, mixing and matching between all of the above options that are contained in the current menu. The company does not freeze their dishes but ships them in state of the art, zero-oxygen packaging that inhibits the growth of microorganisms. These packages are recyclable, made of insulated crystallizable polyethylene terephthalate, and cooled in transit by gel packs so they stay fresh even when traveling long distances. Meals arrive Monday - Wednesday and need just to be heated in the microwave or oven. Factor offers options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Factor has a nutrition team of registered dietitians dedicated to personalizing a customer’s journey toward optimal health. 20-minute weekly consults are available (the first one is complimentary!), and each customer can purchase additional levels of nutrition coaching and DNA testing.

Types of Diets

KETOGENIC - Diet consists of low carb intake, medium protein level, and high levels of "high quality" fat. Theoretically this diet causes your liver to produce "ketones" which your body uses as fuel instead of glucose. These ketones use the high quality fat in the food as fuel and thusly can improve lipid levels. Some of the benefits can include increased endurance, better mental focus and cardiovascular health.

PALEO -  This diet attributes inflammation to starch, sugar, and modern processed food and thus attempts to replicate a diet more similar to what our ancestors ate on the barren and frozen ice-age tundra, but, of course, using modern, food safety standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and storage. This includes lean protein, healthy fats, lower-glycemic carbs, and organic vegetables and fruits. Benefits can include better sleep, gastrointestinal health, more energy, and less inflammation.

GLUTEN-FREE - Diet eliminating any grain or processed items containing gluten, including wheat, barley, and rye. This type of diet is absolutely crucial to those afflicted with Celiac Disease.

ORGANIC - Organic foods avoid the fertilizers, pesticides, additives, and growth regulators associated with modern agricultural techniques. This includes organic produce, free range poultry, pork, and meat, as well as wild caught fish not spawned in fish farms.  Benefits can include better taste and avoidance of certain chemicals and pesticides.

Delivery and Subscription Model

Factor offers 5 different plan options. Customers do not need to be home to receive delivery as the boxes are insulated and will maintain freshness. In most cases the meals will be there when you return home from work. Boxes can also be sent to work at any commercial address. Plans work on a subscription model, and customers can pause delivery for up to two weeks in advance on the website. The cut off time for pausing delivery is midnight Wednesday Central Time the week prior to delivery. Customers' payment method will be charged on a weekly basis each Thursday prior to delivery indefinitely, until the service is canceled.

Factor - Conclusion

Factor is an excellent option for those looking to pursue a ketogenic, paleo, gluten-free, or organic lifestyle. These diets can carry many benefits, including increased energy and mental sharpness, as well as cardiovascular health and weight loss. Factor makes it easy to choose these kinds of dishes and offers an extremely flexible schedule of plans that can accommodate those who want partially commit, to those who want to eat their products for basically every meal. So far so good! started this week and all 4 meals have been REALLY good. meal selection is super easy. food comes on time and COLD! Honestly worth every penny so far. saves me so much time and helps me stay on a strict diet. if i don't have something easy to make i often resort to junk food, so having these in the fridge has kept me on track. I'm excited to try my next meal.. they are hardy, filling, and delish. grateful for this service.

I had successfully used Factor Meal delivery for weeks with success- loved the food, was able to access my account to select meals and all was good... until it wasn't. Out of nowhere I couldn't access my account. I called customer service 3 weeks in a row to report the technical issue and had to select meals through the cs rep. The third week I called to cancel service and was told my account was cancelled. It's been 3 weeks since then- haven't received any more boxes of food or had charges to my account, then out of nowhere I receive a box of food and was charged again. Customer service says my account is now cancelled by they won't refund the unauthorized charge. I'll have to process a... Read More

Factor 75 is a terrible company. I ordered their batch of six meals and then after receipt of those, I canceled in a timely manner and precisely according to their prescribed cancellation method, so that they would not send me any more after this batch. But they simply ignored me and continued to send meals and charge my credit card. I notified them at least six times, but they ignored me for months, until they finally did cancel. I asked my credit card company to reverse the charges, and they contacted Factor 75 about this. But Factor would not reverse the charges. They also lied and said I had picked some meals. My credit card company said they could do nothing to help, since I... Read More

Suddenly received unsolicited email pitch for this, marked it as spam but a new mail comes every day. Somehow they get around Gmail's filters.

Terrible company. I signed up and started to pick out meals. In the mean time I found out I had to be out of town the following week so I never completed the order. Then I got an email saying my order would arrive next week....WHEN I NEVER COMPLETED THE ORDER! I just called customer service and cancelled my account. This is a terrible company to do business with ! Buyer beware!

I would like to review the actual food but unfortunately I never recieved orders (2 weeks) and cancelled after about 10 phone calls and different answers as to why I never recieved either order. I was told they were shipped, they would be arriving later, they would arrive the next day and oh actually they would not arrive or were not shipped. I was willing to stay but they would not do anything more than just a refund. The problem is the biggest discounts are the first few weeks and they would only start me in week 3. Absolutely terrible and unreliable service in my opinion.

The meals taste fine, however if you have any limitations such as no peanuts or no pork, there are no option to specify on your profile. As a result, if you forget to make your weekly selections, you will get a bunch of pretty expensive meals that you cannot eat and have to throw it away. When I called the customer service and informed them I was leaving for these reasons, no attempt to keep me as a customer was made at all.

To date, I have gone online and picked food items for delivery on four different occasions. I have never received a single delivery of food, although I have been billed for each one of those deliveries. I have contacted them twice, once by phone and once online. On each occasion, the rep has been apologetic, but unable to explain why I have not received my food deliveries. One explanation was "Oh, it got lost." Through whose fault? I have been told twice that I would receive a credit for the undelivered food. I have only received one reimbursement. In spite of all of this, I have already been billed by Factor for next week's delivery! Finally, have gone to my credit card company, who are... Read More

Has Factor changed it's meal plan options? I have yet to come across the offer of 4 meals a week, which would be my choice to begin with. Having tried THREE OTHER food delivery services I am very hesitant about the quality and taste of ready microwavable meals - which after surgery was my preference. The OTHER services were all awful with similar chopped meat indistinguishable "stews." My guess was the size of the chopped meat is what allowed them to be microwaved. They were not appealing or tasty; got boring and ulimately I discontinued ordering them. I threw away the last two. I would have been happy to have the help for another month at least, but couldn't eat them... Read More

Terrible. Overpriced. Promotional information misleading. Customer service likes to put you on hold and hang up, rather than deal with issues. Don’t go near this company.

I have been cooking for years and I love to cook--any dinners that don't come out of a can or box in my household are cooked by me. I love food, in general, and that love has at least partially resulted in my diabetes at my 55+ age, which means I have to watch what I eat. I also get really busy with work, and my 10 Factor Meals a week not only give me something relatively healthy to eat, but also saves me hundreds of dollars a month on lunch/dinner I would eat at restaurants. My only negative is that when I don't pick my next week's meals by Wednesday (I do sometimes forget) they tend to ship "whatever" and I would really like it if they would just repeat last week's order, which is... This is the worst experience I have ever experienced. I am contacting my attorney. I want a full refund. I didn't order anything and deactivated my account months ago. You kept my Credit card on file which I insisted was being removed. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced  . Called and spoke to someone in the Philippians that was no help at all. They keep your info with no way to delete it. I requested a complete deletion of my account back in Sept. In jan of 2023 they charged my card without my authorization. Most unprofessional company I have ever used. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Better read their "fine print". If you subcribe but later decide you cannot afford it, BE SURE TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION [AND YOUR ORDER]!! They WILL continue to ship their food AND charge you anyway. 😡😡😡

I wanted to try a meal delivery service and Factor offered gluten free. You don't get to see your options until after you have already given them all of your information. I'm too picky of an eater and immediately canceled my order. 6 days later I received notification from my bank that they had charged my card. I called Factor's customer service requesting a refund. Customer service acknowledged that I had placed and canceled my order on the same day. Was told there had been a glitch in their system. Customer service contacted tech support. They denied my request because it was after the cut off for shipping. Customer service suggested I call my bank and do a stop payment. Bank can't... Read More

I apologize, there is no sugar added. The sugar probably comes from the vegetables in the meals. However, there is still too many calories, and I’d use vegetable that aren’t so starchy.

I was charged twice in July for a meal plan for July’s and August. I was charged even before I had the opportunity to taste any of the meals. I ordered the ketogenic diet meal plan. There were so many issues with that. For starters, carb count is too high, there is actual sugar added. NOT SUGAR ALCOHOLS… regular sugar!!! Second, just because it is a keto, doesn’t mean that the calories don’t count. Calories matter in a keto diet. When I called to cancel the next delivery, i found out how ridiculous a time frame needed to cancel. Factor meals, even the so called “keto plan” is not for me. Nor would I recommend it to any of my friends or family. I thought I would simplify my life on... Read More

The food is great and my husband will NOT agree to buy anything else because of this. However, they have to figure fire Fedex for their meail delivery because they are consistently 2 days late with the deliveries and the food is no longer good when it arrives. It upsets me to no end because there is so much food waste due to this!

I signed up for many reasons on for your services. one of them being convenience and ease of preparing food. I received the first box of 10 meals on A Wednesday and was making notes of each meal, I liked and didn't like, so i could rule out the meals . I went on the site to take out the meals I didn't like and add more of the ones i did!! I went on the site which I found to be totally hard to navigate. the site indicated that the next shipment was scheduled to go out on May 4, 2022 I tried to add meals that i liked, only to find out the company picked all new meals for me, most of them meals I don't want, I picked the first weeks meals, so at the least i would expect them to remain the... I have been trying it for a few weeks now. I recommend doing an effort and sticking to the "smart calories" plan for about a month( or more if you like); It's a great choice to lose some weight without having to cook or count the calories yourself. So far I haven't had any problems with it. Here is a discount link if you like to give it a try: https://go.factor75.com/plans?c=HS-U6R6TVAX7&plans_ab=true&utm_campaign=clipboard&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=raf-share-hpt Good Luck!

My first box was two days late and the cardboard meal wraps were wet and everything was thawed. I heated the salmon dish first as the other three meals are plant based. I thought it bland.

Meals are bland and monotonous. Delivery is unreliable--did not even receive my delivery one week. But the deal breaker was sitting down to eat a chicken breast meal--whic congtaned no chicken breats--just some nasty sauce and brussel sprouts. Expensive mistake I won't make again. I unsubscribed.

I’m really having an issue with my meals being delivered on time. I seem to be on the phone with them every week with main complaint meals not being delivered on schedule delivery day! I thought Fed X was bad but the Axcel company they are using now is based out of Dallas, Tx. My meals are due to arrive on Tuesday but I’m not getting them until Wednesday. They are being delivered from Dallas to Houston in a non refrigerated pickup truck. Last week wasn’t even delivered to my front porch but left at the street!!!! Poor poor delivery service. For this reason I can only give a one star rating.

Great Food, AWFUL customer service and you MUST take the temperature of each meal when it arrives or you could get sick! I thought Factor75 was awful because of the ongoing problems with FedEx late delivery and their laughable customer service that lies and makes promises they can't and won't keep. But it's more serious than that. If you insist on buying their food, you MUST take a thermometer to every package of food. After receiving 3 shipments a day late (so food was spoiled), I had two that weren't late, felt cold to the touch but were dangerous to consumer. they felt cold but if you stuck a thermometer in the packages, the temperature ranged from 44 degrees to 59 degrees -... They can't deliver on time. I tried Factor Meals, but it took them 3 days to get the food to me. So by the time the meals arrive the food is already 3 days old, and has been sitting in a box on a truck. Not my idea of fresh prepared food. My meals went straight in the dumpster.
