Founded in 2010 in Connecticut, Saatva, Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells luxury innerspring mattresses. Its products can incorporate a variety of special features, such as under-bed illumination, one-touch remote, wall-hugging design, and different types of massages. They take pride in making their prices accessible, while still providing a quality product.

Connecticut-based company Saatva Inc. was founded in 2010 with a commitment to providing comfortable and long-lasting luxury mattresses to consumers in all 50 states, at prices that won't break the bank. Despite their relatively few years in business, the company has grown quickly to 19 factories and 135 fulfillment centers across the U.S., which both deliver and setup your mattress and/or foundations and frames. Saatva believes in environmental responsibility, as shown by their use of recycled steel, organic cotton, eco-friendly foam, and naturally flame-resistant, plant-based fiber mesh.

Size & Firmness

Saatva provides a wide variety of sizes for their customers to choose from, all of which come in their three firmness levels: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm. Though they don't have showrooms for people to physically feel the difference between their different firmness options, they do have helpful information about each level on their website, and a considerable amount of description about the actual composition and manufacture of their mattresses.

Features

Saatva’s mattresses are made using a dual coil support system, which distributes bodyweight across two series of coils, totaling 50-100% more coil units than traditional premium beds. This not only benefits the customer’s sleep by minimizing sinkage, but also helps the mattress last longer. They incorporated an anti-sag, edge support system, to combat the effects of lying or sitting on the edge. Additionally, their mattresses come in two heights, 11.5” and 14.5”, for the exact same price.

Another convenient feature is that both Queen and King-sized mattresses are offered as split mattresses, which makes transporting them easier. Saatva recommends their customers use foundations for their mattresses, and they offer 4” and 8” options, though they may also honor your warranty even if you use an existing box spring (which most manufacturers don’t allow). Their European pillow top is made of organic knit cotton, with 1.25” foam and Dacron, as well as an additional 3/4” of quilt fill fiber.

Plan Details

Saatva doesn’t display their mattresses in showrooms, preferring to solely offer them via the internet, stating that a quick in-store trial doesn't give an accurate enough experience to evaluate from. Therefore, they provide a 120-day home trial, with full refund of the purchase price, less the original delivery fee.  They also don’t charge fees for penalties, pick-up or restocking. Their 15-year warranty is quite comprehensive, as they replace mattresses at no cost, including delivery, if its fund to have defective workmanship or structural issues within the first two years of ownership. If the defect is detected between 3 and 15 years, it will be repaired at zero cost, or customers can pay 25% of the purchase price to have it replaced, when there are less than six years left on the warranty. However, the warranty will be voided if the mattress is used on a metal frame with fewer than four legs, or six legs and a center-line support for Queen and King sizes.

Customer Support & Reputation

Saatva doesn’t have any physical stores, preferring to cut out the middleman and pass those savings on to their customers. Additionally, their customer service representatives don’t even work on commission, in an attempt to eliminate potentially pressured or misleading sales pushes. Customers report that Saatva representatives are helpful and efficient, working hard to ensure satisfaction. This shows in their overwhelmingly positive online reviews, A+ score with the BBB, and a 5-star, 9.6 out of 10 rating on TrustPilot.
