Amerisleep is an Arizona-based company which sells foam mattresses and other sleep accessories. Though they do have several retail locations across their state, they mainly market their products via the internet, with a 100-night sleep trial. By eliminating the middleman, they're able to keep their prices low while maintaining high standards of quality.

Size and Firmness

Amerisleep foam mattresses' five different models come in varying degree of firmness and support. For instance, though all incorporate their Bio-Core™ base to support the spine's natural alignment, only the AS5 uses Active Flex near the top of the mattress to conform to every body type, providing pressure relief and extra bounce. Models AS2 through 5 all have Amerisleep Affinity layers to transition between the comfort and support levels of the mattress, as well as Surface Modification Technology for improved air circulation.

AS1 - This is the firmest Amerisleep mattress

AS2 - Of medium firmness, this is best for people who enjoy sleeping on their back or stomach

AS3 - Their bestseller, formerly known as Liberty, this is a blend of support and comfort

AS4 - Medium softness for the additional cushioning that side-sleepers require

AS5 - Ultra-responsive, this is their softest and most luxurious mattress

Features

Amerisleep mattresses are manufactured via Variable Pressure Foaming, a closed chamber process which is so environmentally friendly it exceeds the requirements of the Clean Air Act. Taking things a step further, they've also incorporated the use of plant-based materials, thereby reducing a portion of the petroleum used in their foams. Their Bio Pure foam manufacturing technology claims to dissipate heat up to eight times more efficiently than the leading manufacturer's foam products. Amerisleep also sells bed frames, pillows, and bedding.

Purchase Details

Amerisleep features an excellent 20-year warranty that covers defects not associated with the wear and tear of normal use. The warranty will be voided if a material is spilled on the mattress that may lead to decomposition of the foam. Therefore, they recommend the use of a waterproof mattress protector for customers with incontinence issues, or who enjoy eating or drinking in bed. As the mattresses require a solid flat surface, if the customer is planning on using a box spring, they must make sure that it doesn't have any misshaped coils, and even so, Amerisleep recommends the use of a piece of 3/4" plywood in order to meet the warranty's requirements.

Amerisleep's 100-night sleep trial is also very good, as is the fact that the company takes care of any shipping charges for both the original delivery and in case of a return. Mattresses can ship in as little as 3-5 days, via FedEx with curbside delivery.

Customer Service and Reputation

Though Amerisleep is not a BBB-accredited company, they do enjoy an A+ rating with the organization, and an astonishing 91% approval, with 42 positive reviews out of a total of 46. Many reviews focus not only on the comfort of the beds, but the convenience of having varying levels of firmness, and the excellent customer service. Customers agree virtually unanimously that Amerisleep mattresses provide some of the best night's sleep they've ever had, reporting decreased muscle and joint pain.
