Plus, the cost is much lower than traditional metal or invisible braces administered in person. Their free whitening kit and free retainer also gives them a leg up other competitors, as does their attentive customer service. Candid invisible braces are made from Zendura plastic, which is a BPA-free material. The treatment is done entirely through the mail, with no visits to the doctor. First, customers must take impressions of their teeth. They are then mailed a modeling kit with all the materials needed. Customers are also asked to take photos to include in the kit. A licensed orthodontist in the customer's state will review the molds and photos and prepare a treatment plan. Candid makes custom aligners following this plan and mails them back to the customer. Candid asks customers to wear the aligners at least 22 hours a day for the duration of the treatment. According to Candid, this can range between 3 to 10 months. Candid also includes a whitening foam to whiten teeth and clean the aligners at the same time. Once the treatment is over, customers will use a retainer to preserve the adjustment.

Candid's invisible braces are priced at $1,895, which includes the $95 modeling kit needed to make custom aligners. This may also be paid monthly, as low as $65 per month for 24 months. Consumers who are not eligible to undergo alignment treatment with Candid receive a full refund for the cost of the modeling kit. The treatment itself is not refundable, but if customers receive a faulty aligner, they will receive a replacement. If the treatment is not going the way the customer thought, Candid will not refund the cost but they will make another impression and restart the treatment. For customers who lose a tray, replacement trays are available, but they cost $49 each. Retainers are included in the cost of the treatment, so customers will be sent a free clear retainer after the treatment is over.

Paid in full for the aligners after seeing the 3D rendering and how the teeth would reposition each week. Was told that the aligners would take a few weeks to manufacture and that I would be told when they shipped. A month later I received an email telling me that they had shipped, but no tracking info was provided. A few days later I emailed them and asked for tracking info. They replied several days later with the tracking info telling me that they showed as being delivered THREE DAYS BEFORE THE EMAIL THEY SENT TELLING ME THAT THEY WERE BEING SHIPPED. Twenty days after I paid for the modeling kit I had heard nothing from Candid Co. The shipping link they sent was broken. Impossible to figure anything out from their website. Customer Service is polite but claims they won't provide any refunds as each kit is "tailored to each individual". Total BS. Had to file a claim with my credit card company.

Waited 3 months for my modeling kit molds to be approved, only to then be told I didn't qualify for financing. No refund or inconvenience fee for the $95 modeling kit. Would never recommend a place with that kind of Customer Service
