My otel reservation was canceled because of Covid last May 2020. I was to be issued a full refund to my Capital One account for per your management. You never refunded my money. $1224.24. I am currently working with my state Senator and have contacted President Trump as the reservation was for his hotel in Las Vegas. You are a cheat and a fraud!! Have some honor and integrity about your business! Refund my money now!!!
No response from paying you for our Cabo hotel. Your company needs to return peoples money. I cancelled on time and nothing back from you. You offerred free cancellation up to 30 days before. I cancelled and no corresspondance.
What a scam. I got Free Cancellation for a hotel, had to cancel the hotel and did so 3 months in advance and they won’t return my money. Otel.fraud
These people are thieves. I had a booking canceled back in march due to covid and they are refusing to issue a refund they went and retroactively changed their policy to no refunds. They offered a credit but i told them that is not acceptable and cited their policy and they refuse to respond. I have filed a Fraud complaint with the Federal trade commission and BBB. Buyer beware!!
Otel stole my money from A HOTEL reservation I had in Las Vegas. Do not use this company. There are 778 people who belong to a Facebook group called "Scammed by Otel.com" and not 1 person has had their money returned.
I am not happy with refund policy. Due to the pandemic I wasn't able to make my trip because everything was closed or cancelled. I cancelled way back in April and I haven't received my refund. Elizabeth Martinez
They are an unethical company that they lie easily and try to steal the money of their customers.
I do not need to spend time to write here about how they conduct their business. Just search on Google "scammed by otel.com" and you will find the Facebook page of all victims and you can read what people say about them.
I tried to cancel a hotel reservation due to Covid 19. The hotel itself indicated they were accepting cancellations up to 24 hours before the arrival date. I asked for the cancellation 5 days before my arrival date. I never even got a response to my cancellation request. The only thing I got was an automated message indicating they would be in touch. When I tried to call their telephone number, the greeting said that cancellations should be submitted online. My travel date has come and gone and now Paypal refuses to issue a refund. If you search around you will find that this is a common pattern, poor customer service and exceptionally poor handling of cancellation requests.
Please do not ever book travel with Otel.com. In Feb 2020, I booked a 3-night stay at a New Orleans hotel - the fare was fully refundable until April. (Which I have written in the confirmation email.) Once the pandemic hit, I canceled the reservation through Otel's website in mid-March and received a notice that I would be receiving my refund. A few weeks later they sent me a correspondence through their site that I'd be receiving a credit. As long as I cancelled before June 8th, I cancelled May 25, I would be given a refund... They now telling me due to Covid, there will be no "refunds" and they are hoping I will understand... and will book again thru them in the future... huh! FAT CHANCE!

BUYER BEWARE!!! -0 stars! I recently booked a reservation through Otel.com. As a result of the COVID situation, my hotel in Florida was not accepting guests. I contacted Otel.com SEVERAL times to inquire about rescheduling my reservation, or obtaining a credit or refund. They did not respond for several weeks, and then told me that there was a "no cancellation" policy. I have sent three emails in the last month to request a refund on a hotel in Bruges that THEY cancelled. I have had no response. I will probably just try and work with my credit card company.
Scam! Booked through them. Hotel didn’t have my registration, said payment was never received but went through on my credit card. International number not taking calls. Still waiting for a response via email. I ended up paying Otel and the hotel directly.

NO STARS - We need to put them out of business. I am still waiting for a refund over $2000 as I booked a room for a three week business opportunity. I was well within the cancellation period for a full refund. At first I was offered a voucher - when I hinsisted on the full refund I was informed it would be at least 30 days due to the corona virus. It has been over 30 days and my emails have gone unanswered. I will be contacting the BBB, the state attorney general and will pursue legal action if necessary.
WARNING: Do not do business with these scammers! My wife and I booked a hotel through Otel.com. When the pandemic resulted in border closures, we were forced to contact Otel.com about receiving a refund for our trip. Several weeks later, we finally received an email from MetGlobal (parent company) informing us that the hotel would issue a refund and therefore, we would not be refunded by Otel.com. I WONT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY STARS THEY ARE FRAUDS AND STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NEVER PAY IT TO THE HOTEL. I just finished staying at a hotel room booked by otel.com. First my reservation was incorrect. I thought I reserved a room with two beds, because we were 3 adults traveling together. Second on check out i found the rate at the hotel would have been $367.44 for two nights versus i paid $451.77 for two nights.

I recently had a reservation through this service that was apparently cancelled, but I was never notified about the cancellation. When I arrived at the hotel it was only then that I was informed that I did not have a reservation. The CSA saw that I did have one, but someone had cancelled it. When following up with the hotel manager about who or why the reservation was cancelled, he was told by Otel, first that the travel agent cancelled the reservation. OTEL.com RUINED MY HONEYMOON! This is a horror story, I'm sad I had to live it. Please, please, please don't use OTEL.com. Here is what happened: I booked a hotel through OTEL.com for my honeymoon. I received a confirmation email and a voucher for our reservation at the Bali Hai Villas in Kauai, Hawaii. My credit card was charged $1,398.30 by OTEL.com and everything seemed good. Me and my new bride arrived at the Bali Hai Villas at 9:30pm local time to find out that the hotel didn't have our reservation. They never did. Reserved a hotel in the midwest and learned 2 months later they did not have the reservation. I am unable to call international so went on their live chat..... 4 times!!!! since I was kicked off 4 times!!
During the chats they gave me 2 DIFFERENT confirmation numbers that the hotel did not have. The also gave an excuse that they were waiting to hear from their 'supplier' who was contacting the hotel. Of course this never occurred....PLEASE.... use expedia, kayak, priceline, etc. not this site. Let them go out of business
A huge scam. I was charged for a hotel that wasn't even booked, or at least booked and cancelled in the same day. Then when Hurricane Barry disrupted my travel they refused to refund my money. I went out of my way and contacted the hotel to get confirmation that my room was cancelled and that they were never paid/never charged my card. I even got a letter from the hotel management. I still haven't received a refund yet. They don't respond to anything in a timely matter. I don't know how this company is still in business. Trash all the way around.
Otel is a scam. Do not use them. I cancelled my hotel reservation well before the cancellation deadline. I received a confirmation email saying the refund would take 10-14 days. I waited. No refund. I emailed them. It took about 3 weeks to get a response. That response claimed technical problems and it would take another ten days. I have gone to my credit card company for a refund. I still do not have a refund. I cannot understand why they appear on any referral web site.
