I would encourage anyone who books through Expedia to use a high level of caution, especially when it comes to the lack of resolving a problem. We purchased 2 tickets going to Glasgow, Scotland back in March. We were double charged by Expedia. I refuted the over charged tickets the same day. Only now to find that they messed up our tickets for my husband and mentioned we cancelled the ticket for him. After 4 days of talking to every level including the Global Customer Service team, the only resolution they are offering is to refund the tickets. We took 2 weeks off from work, my husband and I. We were on the phone for over a combined 25 hours since this fiasco happened. We still find... Read More
Do not book with Expedia. They do not have a customer service number to call when you book the same day and after regular business hours. This happened to me on October 13, 2023. I received an emergency call that my dad was back in the hospital and not doing well. He is a cancer survivor, and there was testing being done for a possible relapse. In my distress and overwhelming frantic episode to get to my destination, I booked the wrong hotel. I made efforts to Google the customer service number for Expedia and called what I could locate. As a hotelier, I just lost thousands of dollars because Expedia partnered with Vio.com and Vio hijacked my free Google Acct directing to Expedia only. No longer could prospective guests go to my website or call. My google site generates 75% of our new guests reservations.
Lost our money ,we got a package trip and because of a tropical storm we were unable to flight , now the hotel doesn't refund our money and Expedia doesn't either it wasn't us who cancelled the flight it was the weather ,So why we couldn't have our money back it is not fare with the customers to loose the money just like that .
I am flying to Kentucky, and I booked the Red Roof Inn Louisville Fair and Expo . It got a good rating, but then my cousin called me to tell me that the hotel is dangerous, and they have had shootings there. I have since changed my hotel reservations. I called the hotel directly for my reservation. I have booked a hotel in Memphis as well, and now I don't know if I can trust the ratings for it. Not good!!!!!
Worse experience ever. had a work crew have to stay an extra night. a wrong hotel was booked, cannot change or get credit for the rooms. Horrible
The worst lying review of seen of Expedia. Expedia is a HORRIBLE company. Do NOT make travel plans using Expedia, especially for booking a hotel. It's a scam!
