This business is a full scam by not reimbursing my eligible refund. I booked through Agoda and Expedia said they refunded my money but the credit card did not get the refund. When you call both companies the moment you say you are following up on the refund, they hang up on you. So my $339.40 was lost. The hotel where we stayed St Pete Beach Suites said they refunded our money through Expedia and would not help us follow up with Expedia. They would not send the transaction number to prove they sent the money to our credit card.
This business is half scam, and looks like a full scam by not reimbursing my eligible refund
It's a fraud company
When the cancellation time has expired and there is no cancellation time, the website must show non-refundable. The booking showed has cancellation policy, but I got nonrefundable confirmation after payment. I called the hotel supervisor manager and she agreed to cancel but the Agoda.com says we have a partner broker between us and hotel and they don't accept the refund.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
I tried to book a hotel room in Fla. When I finished the information and gave my credit card, it said it could not book room at that price and canceled the booking and returned the payment. 1 minute later it booked the same room and charged me. They will not refund the money and PayPal said they can not do anything.
AGODA IS NOT A GOOD SITE TO USE. VERY UNFRIENDLY. I ACCIDENTALLY IN ERROR BOOKED ONE DAY (BEFORE MAKING MY DESIRED BOOKING) AND CALLED WITHIN ONE MINUTE, BUT THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY. I WAS STUCK PAYING FOR AN ACCIDENTAL BOOKING!!! EVEN WITHIN ONE MINUTE AND A BOOKING FOR A WEEK, THEY REFUSED TO ACCOMODATE ME.
WAIT IT GETS WORSE.
THE ACTUAL BOOKING I DID MAKE SAID "ALL INCLUSIVE (AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT) BUT I CALLED HOTEL AND THEY SAID I WAS RIPPED OFF BY AGODA.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!!!!
I made reservation with the following options Pay at hotel Cancel any time before a certain date My card was charged no less than 400$ a fee days later, when asked for an explanation they said amount is on hold to confirm that ur card works and reservation went through. I had to cancel my reservation and its been 3 weeks and i still haven’t received my refund Agoda now directs me to the hotel to ask for my refund. My claim is also handled by multiple people for some reason and so i keep repeating myself and getting absolutely no where ! Though they did nothing to keep their end of the bargain, their care customer satisfaction is almost 0%!! If you travel alot don’t... Read More
Absolutely below par!! Made hotel bookings through them more than a month in advance, received confirmation voucher and just two days prior to the stay, we received an email stating that bookings were canceled. Tried talking to their customer care - rude & impolite and did not make any effort to accommodate. I discussed all possibilities of booking us at a different hotel but was given no choice at all. Refused to put me through to the supervisor indicating that none is available - this was in my third attempt to get some solution as I, along with my family (including kids and parents) were left stranded with no option.
My first experience with Agoda turned out to be a big mistake. I booked a hotel room (non-refundable) in Amsterdam for my son. Upon check-in he inspected the room which turned out to be deplorable, dirty and unsafe. I is based specifically on these reasons that he had to cancel. He took pictures which were submitted to Agoda. This company doesn't stand behind the customer and should be aware of the complaints about such properties. I will not use them ever again and will discourage anyone from doing so.
I wish I read the reviews about them before using them!
Agoda.com is not to be trusted. Tried to book accommodation through Agoda. They take all the details including credit card information, and then tell you you need to wait while they confirm something or other. Then, a day or two later, you get an email telling you the booking is canceled due to some error with your bank. Here's the kicker; They actually do take the money out of your account. So now you have no money, and no accomodation. Their customer service is nonexistent, when I tried to query this, I just got stuck in a loop of stupidity with their customer service bot. There is no way to contact them. I would strongly suggest using a more reputable company to book your... Read More
Do not book on Agoda! Do not trust Agoda. They are lying, deceiving, and therefore scamming you. I booked on Agoda a fully refundable stay with no payment to be made at the property until check-in day. FALSE. Meanwhile, I have received an email from the property that my full payment must be made by email directly to the property, 2 weeks before check-in, or the reservation will be cancelled. I called Agoda who confirmed that directions from the hotel need to be followed, although the confirmation email received from Agoda is completely contradictory with the hotel directions. If I pay the hotel separately, I have the feeling that I am going to end up being double charged... Read More
Agoda is a scam. Do not use this service. They booked us for the wrong dates and would not refund our money
AgodaCash applied to price but it was not, if you follow the calculations.
You are saying $56
AgodaCash applied to price
56X7=392 but you charged 446.53
Therefore you did not applied AgodaCash
You charged more, please refund the difference.
They do not want to refund, This is a SCAM, simple as that
I got an additional charge from my bank for a foreign transaction. You should do a better job of disclosing this. Made the room savings not such a deal after additional charge.
They have done nothing but lie and try to blame the hotel who I had already spoken to about receiving a refund due to the serious nature of the cancellation (covid). Save yourself the headache of having to file fraud charges and book with a more reputable company who is honest.
I booked a hotel for my trip to London with my credit card but cancelled a few days later in July. In September there was a $1,000 charge on my debit card from Agoda. I was in London at the time so when I got home a couple days later I immediately contaced Agoda customer service. They were quick to respond however communication was confusing and a waste of time because I received a reply from a different customer service rep each time which meant explaining my proplem over & over. I was charged an unauthorized transaction, a fraud transaction. Agoda said it was a duplicte reservation for the exact hotel I had booked & cancelled in July. I said well that's the problem, I didn't have a... Read More
At check-in, I was told that I had to pay $400 in additional fees! Even though the booking page said "FINAL PRICE" "Price Includes: cleaning fee, taxes", etc. I could not check in without dishing out the money. Customer service was friendly, but no actual help. They kept citing that the confirmation email said that I would have to pay fees at the property, and it basically doesn't matter that the booking page said "final price" because they have proof that the confirmation email stated differently. Completely deceitful and terrible service.
This site is HORRIBLE do not use them under any circumstances. They charge your credit card but the hotel does not have a reservation and won't refund your money. Now I have to go through the process of disputing on my credit card . Most dishonest site I have ever used. Deplorable customer service & awful business practices.
This site is awful do not use them under any circumstances. They will not refund you even IF they knowingly overbook a hotel & continue to take reservations even after it's completely sold out. You must cancel during their business hours & on their site, but if you book the day before or the day of you will still get charged. Awful site, awful customer service & awful business practices.
73 out of 73 negative reviews here and yet consumersadvocate rate these crooks a 4.4/5 customer experience, pesumably Agoda were asked to self-assess themselves?
Customer service at Agoda is a disgrace. A Chatbot that goes round in circles or a long distance phone call with a customer rep that lies to you several times about the refund they still haven't made giving you another excuse (lie) after being put on hold.
Scam company - the worst booking site I have ever come across. The prices might look cheap but the hassle really isn't worth it. Oh and I haven't even mentioned the foreign currency conversion scam.
Do NOT book with Agoda! Left us high and dry on a trip! Wanted to share my terrible booking experience with Agoda this past weekend as a warning! My partner and I plans this weekend to spend the night at The Plaza Resort in Daytona Beach with some friends. I booked the room through Agoda and got the confirmation a week in advance. We drove over on Saturday morning, and I went to check in. The hotel had NO information about our reservation in their system. They called their reservation team. The team said Agoda must have not sent it over, and they told me to call Agoda’s customer service. I called their customer service, and the man on the line said he needed to reach out to their... They reserved the wrong hotel then wouldn’t give me a refund. On top of that I had to go reserved the right hotel so paid twice. Not good for someone on a fixed income.
Very disappointed and annoyed.
I was searching for a Test & Go hotel in Bangkok. I found a Mega Deal advertisement with 75% discount at C$69 / night. I proceeded with the booking.
Upon payment, the number increased to C$239!
There is no customer service email for Agoda. When I tried to cancel the booking, they said its non-refundable. All my email correspondence with Agoda is with a robot. They send the same response every time, but change the name of Customer service Rep! I was deceived and tricked by Agoda, and they are not accepting responsibility. I was a regular user of the site, but now I will share my experience with others. Do not use this service!
If I could give this company a 0 star rating, I would. I made a reservation 13 days before my actual arrival date. Issues that followed: 1. the website does not notify users that a cancellation fee 81% applies when made within 13 days of arrival until AFTER the payment and reservation has been made. So essentially, you're stuck with the reservation. 2. I typed in one set of reservation dates, and when I reached the confirmation page, the dates were NOT the dates that I typed in. 3. When I tried to create an account to adjust the travel dates, I kept hitting errors preventing me from creating an account. 4. Unable to edit the reservation dates, I called the hotel - who told me that only... Read More
I have been booking hotel via online for many years and I've never experienced what Agoda.com did to me all the years I have been booking hotel stay. Unfortunately, I came across Agoda for the 1st time and booked a stay via their website on October 21, 2021. Agoda.com are crook and robber. I made a credit card payment to them for a stay at Swiss Hotel, Lekki-Lagos, Nigeria for just 1 night. After four days Agoda.com pulled another fund from my credit card again in the sum of $70.88 (paid in local currency). I contacted my bank (Zenith Bank) where they confirmed the fund was pulled via POS. Agoda.com however told me the fund pulled via POS was a surcharge. The fact was that my stay caused... Read More
