THERE HEARING AIDS DO NOT WORK WITH THE OLDER ANDROID PHONES ! IF THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 1998 THEY HAVE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO UPGRADE THEIR SOFTWARE I HAVE A GALAXY S20 WHICH IS A FAIRLY NEW PHONE BUT SONICS AIDS WILL NOT CONNECT WITH MY BLUTOOTH
I have a Sonic behind-the-ear set about 5 yrs old. From an audio standpoint they have been ok. My complaint involves the mode pushbutton on each one that selects the programs and gain features. When new, the button had an easy to use snap action feel. After about 3 yrs, both buttons failed and the snap action is gone. If you fool with them, you can still switch programs intermittently, but its a nuisance.
I was told that repair of the buttons would be $300 each. Thanks, I’ll pass. I wish Sonic used better quality parts.
Since I have insurance, I’ll end up getting a new set from someone else.
I waited a full year before offering a review for my Sonic Hearing Aids. I was provided with an appointment, with the Audiologist who fitted me originally. I've been completely satisfied with the Sonic Aids, and the level of service associated with the product. The aids have improved my quality of life, and have proven to be reliable, easy to live with, and low maintenance. My Sonic Hearing Aids are small, light weight, and nearly unnoticeable when I'm wearing them. I'm able to access their volume controls with my iPhone, and control optional functions as well. My Sonics are battery free, and an overnight charge provides enough power to last a full day between charges. The learning curve,... Read More
Greetings from Canada! I was recently fit with Sonic Captivate hearing aids and I've never been happier. I was hesitant at first because my friends told me to get a differnt brand. But my audiologist explained to me the new improvements and technology so i decided to trust my audiologist. My children are no longer annoyed with me and I can hear my dog walking around my apartment!
My wife was fitted with SONIC model cheer 2-1/2 years ago... they are a piece of crap... The audiologist adjust them in the office and they seem to be O.K... within days they become unajusted... unless your facing the person with the aids they can't hardly hear anything... now when a pot or a shrill noise is made they almost give headache. When I called the company I was advised go back to he audiologist and have her send them to them to check them out... Now what the dickens does she do with no aids???
I have Sonic Enchant 60 and am TOTALLY disappointed. They are no better than my old set made by another manufacturer that i had for seven years. Had hoped for technological improvement.
Stay away from almost over the counter products if you have a genuine hearing loss. Go to an audiometrist and spend the money if you want proper results.
Would you buy a pair of glasses needing a prescription to fix a problem other than a magnifying glass for reading small print?
An amplifier makes sound louder, not better or tailored to your problem.
I've had my for a couple months now, in the one mode it seems like too much static is mainly hat you're hearing. Than when I put it in other mode I still can't hear well, I've had it adjusted a couple times and it just doesn't seem to make a difference, I still have a hard time when I'm on the phone trying to hear people and that's a problem because part of my job is to answer the phone. I'm going in again to get another adjustment.
Is this normal to have to have these adjusted every week?
I got my Sonic Enchants a year ago, and they were the best investment ever. My ability to hear discussions at long meeting tables or in crowded restaurants was suddenly restored in a way I had feared was impossible. The integration with my iPhone is seamless, and my grandkids think I have the coolest "earbuds" in town.
I have worn hearing aids for more than 20 years. I bought a pair of Sonic aids at the suggestion of my hearing aid specialist. They are the worst pair of aids I have ever owned. From the beginning, they had poor sound quality and made me long for my old pair of Phonaks. I have returned them for repairs for no sound, clicking sounds over poor audio, and intermittently working and not working. Each of my aids have been in the shop over 5 times a piece before the warranty was even up. Thank heavens, my Phonak aids still were working enough to use in the mean time. I got the impression that when they went in for repair, minimal work was done and back they came, with them hoping I'd be... Read More
Although I've owned several pairs of hearing aids over the years, I paid more for my Sonic cic pair than any of the other. From the beginning they never worked as well as the other brands. 30 days is not a long enough time to evaluate hearing aids under their limited warrenty. I wound up using an older pair all the time because I had to send them back so often. Might be the WORST HEARING AID on the market. If your into frustration and mental anguish then buy all mean buy them. If you want to hear and have peace of mind I suggest looking at any other brand.
I think my sonic hearing aids are worthless. I wish I could exchange them for something better, even it’s another pair of sonic. I would especially like to try rechargeables and Bluetooth technology. Have had them for 2+ years.
I told my dad about these hearing aids Sonic C1C stay away they are the worst he has two and every week or two he takes them in to shop Blooms picks up repaired one then they send the other one back for repairs. One needed replaced I split the cost with him same thing again even after 3 day of use on brand new one it went bad and needed repaired they said it was full of wax and water he doesn't shower with it and in two days we find it hard to believe it even had water or wax . Blooms tries to fix them but they are caught in the middle I'm sure of that. Sonic is not a good company after returns for repairs on average about 33 times between the two wow is there a Lemon law to protect our... Read More
I was well satisfied with your Sonic Cheer aids.
They now need adjustment.
Who can I go to in the Baltimore area?
Sending them back to Colorado is inconvenient.
I will go to an audiologist to get a new report, but I will need adjustments.
I have Sonic hearing aids that are about 3 years old. One stopped working, so I called Sonic. They said it was out of warranty and they could not repair it. Very poor customer service!! They were about $4,000 and now they are worthless.
Have had these about 2.5 weeks, went to a family gathering and could understand my grandchildren!!! They are very comfortable and I have to keep checking to see if they are still on my ears. Everything sounds like it should, no distortion. I was outside and the wind was blowing hard, one of my grandchildren was walking ahead of me and I could hear and understand her quiet voice, even in the wind! Also, I have a wonderful audiologist who works to get my settings correct. Product and expert audiologist equals wonderful!!
this site was not informative what different models? , and do they all have the same features , ? ? what about rechargeable , ? are these check marks for in ear or behind ear, with a tube or what ? I am looking for my first set of hearing aids , and find that sonic is a lot of hipe but little info on individual models, What about the adjustable equalizer with your phone I presume , is that with all models You need to hire some one that knows how to set up one web page with all the models and specs, or is business that good , that you think people want to spend hours getting info on your product?
I purchased the Enchanted model a month ago, FANTASTIC. No problems hearing anything now. As a matter of fact my hearing is so clear and so crisp I have to ask people to please speak softer. I thought my appliances had received a surge of voltage when the ready beep went off on the microwave or when the refrigerator door open alarm was beeping. I could actually hear them now, crystal clearly. Absolutely no problems with them and I have very waxy ears. I simply clean the little ear piece and no problem. Batteries are great because I use the blue tooth feature all day at work; my batteries last 7 days. I have listened to other brands for much more money and wouldn't change a thing. I... Read More
These are terrible (and cost $6,000, to boot - can you believe it! ). They do absolutely nothing for your hearing - possibly make sounds louder but not spoken sounds. You cannot understand anything people say. People at work write the name "Sonic" down so that they (or anybody they love) will never, ever buy them. They say that I seemed to understand them better before I got these things. Oh, well. There are fools born every day, and I guess I am one of them. I have had these for about 8 months. The left one stopped working after about three months (audiologist cleaned it, and it worked a little bit for a month or so, despite my cleaning both now EVERY day). Since it does... Read More
