The plan is fine if you do not require medical care! But if you need a dr that takes this insurance good luck finding one. There are no in network drs unless you are in NYC. Stay away from this plan they are horrible.

The coverage is garbage, no doctors want to take because they haven’t updated their payouts since the 80s. Everytime they give you a list of available doctors when you call those doctors they say hell no we don’t take emblem.

It's like being an uninsured poor person being on this plan. No one takes it because they pay so poorly. The pay my Dr.s $17 for a visit. Is that based on rates established in the 1930's. What dr. Could afford to stay in business on that? They'll give you a list of Dr.s in your area but none take the plan and when you call to report that they tell you the Dr. Has to contact them. It's fraud on the largest scale. Their money goes to paying off union leaders to vote for their plan. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL FRAUD. RUN AWAY.

This company is a joke when it comes to supporting out of network providers. Can't get through consistently to a live rep regarding claims reprocessing, can only deal with live chat when a claim is too old to lookup on the portal, and get the run around about whether is a claim is on file even though I have multiple reference #'s and a claim # and I've also received replies thru the portal message center regarding my claim. They admittedly said "for out of network providers we provide live chat support". How does being in-network mean that a provider is more worth of ethical, professional, timely, efficient support? What a joke.

Worst insurance company ever with a pay scale from the 1980s and providers dropping them like flies. Do Not Trust their provider list because they do not remove providers who have dropped them, some phone numbers of providers have actually been disconnected. Impossible to find providers that accept their insurance!!!

Worst insurance by far. My doctor went as far as to file a complaint against Emblem on her own and offered to back me if I wanted to pursue litigation. Emblem needs to be investigated. What they are doing is criminal.

Emblem Health now refuses to approve coverage on most medical procedures that your doctor believes you require. In this last year three medical procedures have been denied by emblem health. Thank God I qualify for Medicare in 2 years and will not have to deal with this horrible healthcare insurance company.

Emblem health is by far the worst health care insurance provider out there, they constantly deny claims and refuse to cover procedures that my doctors request. They have their own doctors who are paid for the sole purpose of denying approval of medical procedures.

Good God. I called because I want to send a letter DIRECTLY TO THE PRESIDENT AND CEO of EMBLEM HEALTH. They can't even give me the mailing address to the Corporate HQ. If I were to be so incompetent at my job, I would be fired. I know that if I mail this letter to the CEO it will wind up on some underlings desk who will not give a damn about responding, nor will I get an appropriate answer to my question. I think I'm going to start sending insurance premiums via Pony Express. I hope they don't mid if the payments never make it to the Corporate HQ.

The doctors in the GHI CBP are fine, but just try finding one through the Emblem health website. You will be directed to many doctorsd that don't provide the specialty that you need. If it is an MRI, you might as well go to Zwanger Pesiri and pay out of pocket because you can't find a provider based on how the website directs you nor can you speak to a human being that can assist you. I can't wait for the next opportunity to switch my coverage. Anything has to be better than this.

Please don't think about this company for a second. I have been fighting for a refund due to lapsed coverage for almost 6 months now. They are impossible to reach and when you do its a new person every single time. Every time i call i get a new person that needs to "follow up" with someone. This is the biggest scam i have ever faced in my life. The "lovely lady" (i used another word that i cannot use here) i just spoke with hung up on me when i wanted to take a survey 10000% agree with the other review about paperless statements, they dont give a and will send you paper multiple times a month. Anyone associated with this company is rotten to the core

Emblem can't even get simple phone communication with customers right. I tried calling today to ask why I am still getting statements in the mail, when I opted to go 100% online. I have re-checked my preferences on the portal 5 times, and ALL are marked for email. Yet I still get a paper monthly statement in the mail. I called three times, and three times went through all the menus and identification questions to get to a person to ask why I am still getting paper statements. THREE TIMES, AFTER GOING THROUGH ALL OF THE PHONE MENUS, I WAS BEING TRANSFERRED TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON, AND THREE TIMES I ENDED UP WITH A BUSY SIGNAL, WITH NO WAY TO GET OUT OF IT. THIS IS BUSH LEAGUE.... Read More

In my opinion, this company is garbage. If you are thinking about choosing them for your business, I strongly recommend you do not. I wanted to know why when I checked the cost estimator prior to my service (when logged into my account) the total out-of-pocket cost was listed as $85 + $37 for out-patient and when the (in-network) clinic filed the claim, the total billed for services and physician was over $1100 that emblem are refusing to cover. Jordana said the estimator just accounted for the physician cost and not the services and Lisa just kept repeating that that was the bill because it was done at a facility. She told me to log in to my account and look at my summary benefits.... Read More

I signed up for dental because the dentist at my last cleaning said I needed $2000+ in work. Enter Emblem Health. Emblem Health: We don't have a record of your enrollment. You'll need to call your HR. Benefeds: We recent your enrollment and you should be good to go in 24 hours. Repeat conversation EIGHT times. Every single time Emblem Health tells me my information is not in the system and to call Benefeds. I ask to speak to someone in enrollment because obviously there is a disconnect and I'm told that if the information had been sent then it would be in the system. Turns out they do in fact have an enrollment department who did in fact have my information but they refused to... Read More

EMBLEM HEALTH IS NOT COVERING FLU SHOTS!!!! I just went to get my flu shot at the same place I went last year. They said that the flu shot was not being covered. This is one more bad experience (of several) that I have had dealing with GHI - Emblem Health. My doctor requested exams for a serious health concern - date of service 12/31/2019. The payment was denied, and the lab has billed me. In early May, I learned that Emblem was requesting further information from the doctor who requested the exam. The information was provided within 24 hours. On May 15, I called Emblem and I learned that the information was received but was never sent to the appeal department. I was promised the review process would begin immediately. Two weeks later, I called again and learned that the review process was initiated only on May 19. Then, I was given a Reference... Stay as far away as possible from Emblem Health.. I have been promised 3 times that my claim would be taken care of and have had to waste hours talking to "advocates". Yet I still receive bills. My coverage claims I can see a NP yet I keep getting billed for the NP being a specialist.. 3 times I called customer service and 3 managers claimed this issue would be resolved. When I call customer service irate they just hang up

Called Emblem for an oral surgeon and they kept me on hold 15 minutes supposedly because they wanted to get me the "latest" listings of doctors. The gave me 3. NOT ONE accepted Emblem and all said Denta Quest which emblem uses is the worst. Emblem could not find me one doctor. All 3 nearly dropped the phone when I said I have Emblem.

They are the worst! I pay a lot for there insurance and they deny my coverage after the emergency room admitted me for congestive heart failure. They sent me a letter to appeal, I was on the phone for over an hour with someone that speaks the worst English I have ever herd, I think they had me calling Malaysia or something .. I am going back to Oxford. Beware of this Bad Company

All I want is a number of their Compliance Department, it does not exist. I have spent almost 2 hours just trying to follow up that the appropriate paper work has been received so a list of bills paid in the last 3 years by Emblem can be received to close an estate. I finally after talking to 6 individuals , 3 dead ends, and at least 6 numbers some which were wrong and/or disconnected got a Nancy in Medicare department who said to fax it to the general Medicare Enrollment number, I asked for her supervisor, this is not very transparent practices. In the last few months, I have contacted Emblem Health of New York a number of times by phone regarding claims different providers have submitted for me, waiting to be paid by Emblem Health. Emblem Health always tells me that the provider hasn't submitted Medicare's EOB for my claim and won't pay until they receive the Medicare EOB. When I call Emblem Health to assist me with this matter, they call the provider who sends them Medicare's EOB for my claim and it seems to conveniently get lost. Emblem Health loves to nickel and dime their customers. While paying for a Platinum plan for my family, they're also making us pay co-pays because we didn't select on their website our primary care doctor in advance of an annual wellness visit. It's not about the money, it's the lack of integrity. When will healthcare companies employ humans who are capable of rational thought? The their billing system is broken beyond belief.

If i could give negative stars I would. Emblem Health is basically a group of criminals that try to constantly get money out of your pocket. I received a service in 2016 and my account was paid in full. Then yesterday, July 24, 2018, they decided to reopen my account and increase my deductible by $200. When I called the doctor's office, they said that my insurance was "reevaluated". When I called to file an appeal, Emblem said my insurance was inactive. I always have an issue with Emblem Health. They are unreliable, incompetent and have ZERO compassion for their members. The woman I spoke to was laughing in the background. DO NOT USE THEM!! They do not care about their patients!
