The sales pitch is better than the actual product. 1st rainfall and the filter clogged with a handful of grit and pine straw. The brochure clearly states filter will never clog due to its self cleaning properties. This is NOT the actual reality. But the warranty stated only the gutter clogging was covered. So we will see if they honor their statements and written guarantees. I am waiting on BBB case to help get a refund. So they have a sales pitch that is dishonest. And i was told they install their own products. No dealing with 3rd party. I had independent contractor install filter. Not happy at all with the product as I was sold I would never have to climb a ladder. This is clearly... Read More
Called and agreed on a definite date and time to come for inspection but never showed up ,they didn't even call to explain or reschedule .unprofessional attitude may be they are fully booked and too busy but that doesn't give them the excuse to let people wait for nothing
We recently started investigating gutter guards for our home, and found that we could purchase the materials for self-installed high quality stainless steel mesh guards for about $600. We decided to see what it would cost to have someone do the installation on our 1-story house, with all the gutters at about 8 feet off the ground, easily reachable by stepladder. The LeafFilter person came out to the house, did some measurements, and then gave us a quote for $17,800. I asked how long it would take, and he said they could do it in a day with a crew of 2 or 3. We said that was much higher than we expected or could pay, so after he asked if either of us was over 65 (we are), he said “How... Read More
LeafFilter's technology is superior to all other gutter covers I've dealt with in 50 years. The secret is the surgical steel micro mesh that lets water through, but almost nothing else. The LeafFilter representative knows his product very well, is proud of it, and knows that LeafFilter has the installation teams to install them properly. I've tried many other brands over the years, but I wish I'd started with LeafFilter.
So unfortunately, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, however, we have to understand and acknowledge that every customer's experience will be different at any given time. I am not sure why this company chose my Mom to rip off but that was the case and I am here to tell other people about it. This man (Tyler Hughes) came from PA and made a deal with my Mom in regards to installing gutters on our home and unfortunately, I was not home at the time to get all the details. However, when she called me and told me about it, it sounded a bit suspicious (too high of a price!!!) but unfortunately, she decided to go along with it. It wasn't until I got home and got the full details of the... Read More
"limited lifetime warranty" that will cost $95 every time someone has to come to clean an accumulation of leaves off the gutter guards. The splash guards installed are nothing but leaf catchers. The last tech who came said he couldn't remove them as that would "void the warranty". It's a vicious cycle. Worst $2000 I ever spent.
LeafFilter was installed 5 days ago. I must say I was surprised that the "team" of installers I was expecting turned out to be 1 man. He was very professional and competent. It was very cold and windy that day. He worked with very few breaks for 8 hours and never complained. It took much longer than I expected, but I was not dissatisfied because the installer had to go up and down the ladder a lot and back and forth to the truck and it was brutally cold! I felt very bad for him and I did give him hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies!
We recently had Leaf Filter Installed 2 weeks ago. $12k!!! I wish I had spent the money on a different gutter installation company because this has been a post-sale nightmare. Since we had the gutters installed (by some fly by night subcontractor operating under leaf filters name) we have opened TWO support calls within 2 weeks because of the very poor installation done by Leaf Filters alleged subcontractor who was clearly inexperienced due to his shady installation habits. First example, we requested two short gutters to be installed with down spouts that captures 2nd story rain water. Our previous down spouts were great to have because they directed flowing water away from our house... Read More
Very, very disappointed in the product, workmanship, and follow up service provided by this company. They failed to seal gutter seams and the rain water flows completely over the screens in multiple locations defeating the purpose of having gutters. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company.
Gutters overflow, still have to clean them off. Someone came over after my first complaint and said something needed to be changed and that someone would call. It's been a month and no one has called. Why wasn't it done correctly the first time. I strongly do not recommend leaf fitter
Would not recommend this company they messed up my ditch then they wanted to argue and say they weren't responsible
The job is finally done after 3 weeks of failure to show up for installation and broken promises by the company. I had to cancel my work twice to be home and they didn't even show up. The job was started and left unfinished for weeks then the last installer had to rip out the previous work entirely and redo it because it was done improperly. I have pics. I was overcharged for horrible service except for the last guy seemed okay. The office people I spoke to can't be taken at their word. Do not trust the! I wish I had never heard of Leaf Filter.
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. THEY DO NOT WORK WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS & STRAIGHT UP LIES FROM THE SALESPERSON DOWN TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. CLAIMS DEPARTMENT WILL NOT WORK WITH CUSTOMERS & VERY RUDE. NO SATISFACTION WHAT SO EVER. LIED ABOUT PRODUCT WORKING WITH METAL ROOFS. KNOWING IN ADVANCE THAT WAS OUR INTENT. EXTRA CHARGES NOT DISCLOSED ABOUT REMOVAL FOR ROOF REPLACEMENT. NEXT STEP IS A LAWYER FOR US. $10000.00 IS A LOT OF MONEY TO WASTE ON A PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY!!! DISGUSTING COMPANY THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!! MY RATING IS BELOW YOUR CHART, THEREFORE I CANT RATE IT
We researched many companies before asking 3 to come out and give us an estimate. Leaf Filter was the first one we spoke with and Clayton Paulson was a true professional. He respected that we had already done our homework regarding gutters and answered all our questions completely. He did not try to "sell" us on his product and the fact we were able to get a quote that visit was also important to us. We decided to go ahead and cancel the other two companies as they basically installed a different type of gutter guard that we already knew we were not interested in at all based on complaints we had heard from friends and neighbors. Clayton also made special trips back to make sure the... Read More
My experience with the company from sales through installation was excellent but the product itself, is a disappointment. I live in the Seattle area - lots of pine and fir needles with generally light rain. Over time the pine needles cover the leaf filter guard and clog it. In a heavy rain, water washes over the clogged gutter guard and onto whatever (or whoever) is below. I have to climb ladder several times a year with a broom to clear the needles off the guards- something I had hoped to avoid with Leaf-Filter.
This is Mr. Wallace, Technician Chase Whichard was very professional, a seasoned technician. He answered all of my questions and concerns, a true Super hero.
Absolutely terrible. Installed using black screws, different size trim, and told me I would need a leaf blower to clear the screens! Had it removed. No feedback from them.
When it snows we get icicles. Why do we have gutters? The snow and ice/water should go into the gutter thus no icicles.
Absolutely worst money spent. If you ever plan to get a roof...plan on paying half the cost again to have them, come out and reseat them. Customer service said, "You are not going to like this." He was right! I said this is how you treat customers? He said "Well, Yup." I explained I would put them on blast in social media so here I am. You are fine if you don't care about the warranty because they will screw you if you ask them to help you keep it. Of course! Why would they work with integrity!? DO NOT BUY. Put them in yourself. Save money, hassle and time as they won't honor the warranty anyway. -1 star and customer service is nonexistent after you hand over your money.

Extremely overpriced at over $10,000 (another customer negotiated his down to $4k...others thru big box stores are 30 percent of that) but I had little choice finding no one else on short notice I do plan to protest to every authority except the useless BBB
Had a salesmen come to my house at 7pm on a friday night. I agreed to have gutters installed. first they wanted $5900 for two 30ft gutters. I said no then he got it down to $2316. The next day I decided against it and called the company twice and left voicemails but wasnt comfortable with that so I caslled again and spoke to an actual person canceling the order. I told them do NOT install gutters on my house. The next day(sunday) I left my house about noon and when I got home about 3p the gutters were already up. I contacted the company several times and no one seemed to know what was going on. this went on for a month and a half. the salesman also stopped by to take pictures at one... Read More
Run, do not use. We just had them out.
Apparently there was a miscommunication with salesman and we did not get what we thought we were paying for. No diagram was included and did not know until installer told us. Salesperson denied what we agreed on and Boss man never called to ask about issues. Only saving Grace is that the installer was honest guy.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I had my Leaf Filter Gutter Guards installed in 2021. They were installed improperly and I had a long standing leak in my roof that resulted in the sheet rock coming down in my finished garage. Leaf Filter fixed the system and took down the sheet rock, the service manager Tyronn was in my ceiling removing sheetrock. They said to send them my contractors bill for putting in new sheet rock and repairing the hole. Tyronn said payment would go out September 15th. Leaf Filter still hasn't paid the invoice and no one from Corporate Customer service or Raleigh service will call me back. I would not recommend Leaf Filter; they are highly disorganized and the company... Read More
Keeps out the leaves but quickly gets clogged with sand and grime from the roof. Becomes ineffective when it rains. Dumping all the water onto my patio. Literally preventing the drain from draining. I would love to send a video.
As a full-service gutter company, the LeafFilter team comes prepared to provide gutter replacement and repairs in addition to installation. Its patented gutter guards come in a variety of colors and materials and are backed by a lifetime warranty.
Since so many factors affect the pricing of gutter guards, LeafFilter is not able to provide a generalized pricing comparison. It does, however, offer free quotes which can be requested online. Consumers are advised to compare specific estimates from LeafFilter against other competitors' estimates.
