MyHeritage technology is available in 42 languages, and they offer customer support in 18. It has one of the biggest databases in the industry, which has grown through the acquisition of other companies. Although their service is used on every continent, most of the DNA information comes from Europe since currently there is not enough genetic data aggregated from other continents. MyHeritage offers the best chance of finding DNA Matches for anyone with European origins. MyHeritage technology automatically finds connections between family trees and between users with shared DNA segments. Users are encouraged to add details to their family trees to provide greater context to their DNA results. The company’s Ethnicity Estimate provides users with a breakdown of the geographic regions their ancestors came from. Its privacy policy is one of the strongest in the DNA testing industry, giving the user full control over his or her data and what type of information can be viewed by other users. It also allows the customer to delete their data at any time and order the company to destroy the DNA samples provided.

The sampling process involves a simple cheek swab that is mailed to the company's lab. Once the autosomal data is extracted, it['s converted into digital form for comparison with other users' accounts and ethnicities, and for those who purchase the MyHeritage DNA Health + Ancestry test, algorithms also generate comprehensive health reports based on their DNA data. Customers can expect to see results in 4-6 weeks and can view their results securely online.

MyHeritage Results Analysis

Products & Services - 5 / 5

MyHeritage doesn’t feature specific geographical regions as a method of classification. Instead, its Ethnicity Estimate is based on the largest Founder Population project ever conducted, which identified the unique DNA sequences of people who originate from those areas. MyHeritage also identifies which ethnicities (with percentages) are most common in each country. The company compares your DNA data with its 42 supported ethnicities. MyHeritage also has 3.2 billion profiles on its family tree platform.

MYHERITAGE DNA MATCHES The ancestry portion of the MyHeritage DNA test includes DNA Matches, which are potential new relatives who are found based on shared DNA segments. To complement these DNA Matches and help users make the most of their DNA results, MyHeritage has a range of advanced DNA features that can provide clues and help uncover the exact relationship path between two matches. MyHeritage also has a mobile app that allows consumers to update their family tree information on the go, and review potential DNA Matches. MyHeritage notifies users by email when new DNA Matches are found, which can happen often as more and more people take the test and receive their results. MYHERITAGE HEALTH REPORTS MyHeritage recently launched an addition to their DNA product line, called the MyHeritage DNA Health + Ancestry test. This service provides users with comprehensive health reports regarding their genetic risk for developing certain conditions. It also includes 15 carrier status reports for hereditary conditions that can be passed on from parents to children. For customers in the United States, the MyHeritage DNA Health + Ancestry test includes physician oversight through an independent provider network, PWNHealth. Customers are required to fill out a questionnaire about their personal and family health history. For U.S. customers, the physicians who supervise the test will also review all health reports and determine if genetic counseling is advised. If genetic counseling is recommended, it is included in the price of the test.

Boycott My HeritageI’m creating this post because DNA Company is fake news for the Afro-American people. After having my DNA tested by My Heritage, the results were, Oh, you’re from Africa, OK, that’s common knowledge, silly. I looked at anywhere from 200 to 4000 matches from multiple DNA sites and worldwide locations, and the results were still the same: no DNA match from Africa. But how can that be? I asked My Heritage, and they said Africans still live in huts with no social economics. Do you think they have a cell phone or two? My Heritage is an Israeli-based company that is presently committing genocide, and their worldwide comment is that people of color and their children are... Read More

I have been a myheritage member since 2013. In Feb'22, I paid $157 for an annual subscription. I never really used it and just forgot about it. Then on 2/19/23, a pre-authorization charge of $316 from myheritage.com showed up on my credit card. I immediately went to the site and turned off the plan. And I called their support line to cancel, but couldn't reach them. So I left a message that I had cancelled my subscription and wanted the $316 charge reversed. I called a few times more and finally reached a person on their support team on 2/27. I explained the situation and that I wanted the $316 back. The person first offered a 10% discount. I declined. Then he offered a 50% discount and... Read More

I am so over this company! I purchased 2 kits at Christmas time for my husband and I, they received our tests in February and still know results they were supposed be back on the 6th of April then got a message that they were up grading and we would receive them on the 16th and still nothing, I have a very large extended family and they all were going to use my heritage but not now last count was 30 or 35 people that was going to use this service! Here's the thing you pay for a service and expect the results in a timely fashion their web site says it takes 4 weeks so that's what you expect for what you pay for and for them to answer your questions and have you sit on hold just to have... This company is ridiculous. To speak to anyone , you wait on hold for an hour or more. I ordered a kit that I never recieved. Others received false results. You get basic results and must pay more for more information. Actually seems like a scam.

Worst customer support EVER! Just cancelled my account and requested refund. No instructions with test. Called "24/7 support" 5 times this morning. All automated for support, when asked to enter my cell # to have instructions texted, system hung up after 4 digits! WTF? Finally, 5th time, went to sales instead of support. Spoke to a human (nice enough guy) who gave URL for instructions. Went to website and "instructions" wasn't an available tab. He said you must type in the URL, no explanation why you can't get there without knowing the "secret code" URL. Garbage company, I wouldn't let them test PH balance in a swimming pool.
