Overall Rating: 7.5 / 10 (Very good)

Aflac is a well-known insurance company; its duck mascot and television commercials have been around for years. Beyond its advertising exposure, it is the largest provider of voluntary supplemental insurance policies, offering group and individual insurance plans. It claims to provide financial protection to more than 50 million people worldwide and has been in operation for more than 60 years. It advertises a "One Day Pay" program and "guaranteed-issue" of insurance without medical underwriting (both available on some products). It is a well-respected company in the insurance industry and it's financial and BBB ratings reflect its stability and reputation; however, it only offers a group disability plan.
