Royal Caribbean International offer vacation and shore excursions through its cruise line services. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, is comprised of six distinct companies. Cruise destinations go beyond the Caribbean with locations in Italy, Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.

Food and Dining

Aside from three celebrity chefs that are present in their crew, Royal Caribbean International also offers two dining selections which are Dynamic Dining Choice and Dynamic Dining Classic. Dynamic Dining Choice allows guests to have the freedom to choose the restaurant and dining time that they desire. Their menus changes throughout the cruise bringing guest favorites and new specialty dishes for everyone to enjoy. Another option is also provided for guests who prefer traditional main dining style with same dining time which is the Dynamic Dining Classic. There are a total of 18 unique restaurants available on-board for guests that serves various dishes for every appetite.

Travel Protection Program

Royal Caribbean International makes sure that their guests have the best vacation exploring different destinations with peace of mind. The company offers a Travel Protection Program that includes Travel Delay Coverage, 24/7 support, cancel for any reason, Medical Protection, and Luggage Protection.

The cruise line allows travellers to cancel their trip regardless of the reason. They can receive up to 100% cash back for the unused fraction of their fare if they cancel with a specified reason such as injury or illness. There will be 75% cruise credit if a customer has cancelled for any other reason. In case that a passenger gets sick or injured during their vacation, Royal Caribbean International is obliged to give them the proper care and aid they needed. Their medical protection plan reimburse for expenses and emergency transportation by land or air.

Royal Caribbean’s Travel Delay Coverage allows guests to still get on and enjoy their vacation even when they’ve been delayed. They also provide Luggage Protection which let travellers have their bags covered up to $1,500 if they’re stolen, lost, or damaged and up to $500 for covered replacement items if they’re delayed.

I would give them no stars if it was possible! We just returned from a cruise on the Odyssey of the Seas. This was, without a doubt, the worst cruise that my husband and I have ever taken! It started the day we boarded and we found that I could not do the muster briefing because someone from RCCL had loaded my husband's information and picture on my seapass card. Next we found out that our balcony stateroom was 75% obstructed by steel beams! I logged into the app to check and see what time our dinner reservations were for that night, only to find that every reservation had been deleted. Do not book before 90 days out!!! We are 89 days out and the price we paid for our cabin was dropped by about half. But since we must pay in full before the 90 days out to keep our reservation, their policy is not to match the lower price. We as a group of travelers will never book more than 90 days out! Buyers be aware of their very bad business practices!

Don't be fooled. there are seven reviews here, and not one of them rated this cruise line more than two stars, including myself. Yet they have the balls to display 4 1/2 stars. What a joke. I'm lowering my rating to 1 star.

Sailed on the Alaska President's Cruise in 2022. One of the most mediocre experiences on a cruise I've ever had. The food as fair to poor. We were booted off the elevator twice because the President and his entourage took over the elevator for their private use, while we were on it. We waited for several hours while the president's group took off on another boat to view the glacier up close while we hung back a few miles away. We never saw the president except at a distance once in a while. Never made even an announcement. We had a group of 11 people on a very special trip for us. My wife and I took a cruise on Radiance of the Seas in August of 2022 to Alaska and contracted Covid 19 while on board. the symptoms showed up on the 4th day and we were isolated in a stateroom for the balance of the cruise then required by the doctor on board to isolate for another 3 days in Anchorage. We were treated very well by the crew and the medical staff, but Royal Caribbean International has yet to reimburse us for extra expenses promised at the ship. 11 contacts with them by us and our travel agent and never have we been contacted by them either to update us on the invoice submitted or pay the amount promised. I was assaulted in international waters on their cruise ship. A clear case of assault and battery per Canada and Seattle codes. Despite securing photos, video, and witness testimony, Royal Caribbean has made zero effort to provide any compensation. Calls went unanswered, emails not returned. A legal case file has been opened, but beware they fly a Bahama flag so enforcing a lawsuit from the USA is challenging. Warning to all that cruise with them that you will not be protected from assault and battery on international waters and you will have minimal recourse since they fly a Bahama based flag. Booked RC as a first time cruiser. Not happy at all! Booked w an agent. Long story short, my cruise itinerary was changed WITHOUT COMMUNICATION to my agent or myself, until I complained to my agent. I did not want to go to the islands on the new itinerary RC changed. My agent rebooked another itinerary for me and its costing us a lot more with hotel, flying ect. RC didn't want to give us a discount towards anything. My friend that had the same issue on Norwegian, was able to get FREE DRINKS & A FREE UPGRADE. RC sucks I will never travel with them or their other ships, Celebrity & Azamara. Try Norwegian or Virgin!!!!

Ship doesn't sail and Customer Pays the price! We were booked to back up the Ovation's Inaugural Cruise (May 2019). Because of Covid, the ship didn't sail but we kept moving the dates forward. Sometime in July(2021), RCCL call to reschedule the cruise again (this was the 3rd or 4th date change), but this time they used some fancy title. Apparently I was suppose to know that this fancy title meant I gave them permission to change THE SHIP! The ship change wasn't realized until this week when I went to pay for the room. We booked 3 cabins with balconies in January. A few days ago, they not only billed my credit card for the full amount past the deposit, but then the trip advisor said they were cancelling the ship out of Galveston. No other ships were available from that port. After prices tripled, RC offered a 25% discount if we rebooked from a different port in a different state, which didn't even make a dent in the higher prices they were asking. Though, it seems we dodged a bigger issue as they just came out with new restrictions for all non-vaccinated folks. I have been on hold for almost 2 hours for a customer service manager . I will never spend another $ on any of your cruise lines. I have spent will over 100K over the past five years and a little cruise costing me $5,000. I Finally got a customer service manager and they could not help. Go figure.
