Storage Used

AlphaCord uses the FDA-preferred Pall Bag, a 250cc blood bag collection bag that includes a CPD anti-coagulant that collects cord blood through the gravity method. The sterile collection bag can be used for C-section and vaginal birth procedures.

Shipping Method

Samples collected by a midwife or doctor are placed in a shipping container and shipped to AlphaCord’s lab via its medical delivery service. Once the samples arrive at the lab, notification will be sent. Once in storage you will receive a Certificate of Storage with a unique ID number for your baby’s samples.
