LensDirect is an online shop for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses. Started in 1992, it was originally created as a contact lens mail order company. The company currently carries contact lenses from leading brands such as Air Optix, FreshLook, Dailies, ProClear, BioTrue, SofLens and over 200,000 items ready to be shipped.

Services and Features

LensDirect is an online retailer of contact lenses and eye care solutions. It offers different types of contact lenses that includes daily, weekly, monthly, toric and theatrical lenses. LensDirect also sells specialty and seasonal contact lenses such as cat eye, scary and other theatrical effect lenses for different event purposes. 

LensDirect carries contact lens from Acuvue, FreshLook, Air Optix, CooperVision, SofLens, Biomedics, PureVision, ProClear, Focus, Bausch + Lomb, Biofinity and Dailies. It also sells multifocal, toric, vial, colored and clear contact lenses.  

Customers may sign up for LensDirect’s auto refill program.  This program automatically delivers your contacts at any interval you want to ensure you will never run out contact lenses. Customers receive $5 off on their first order and 5% off on every succeeding order.

LensDirect requires customers to present a valid contact lens prescription for every order. LensDirect also gives free standard shipping on all orders above $49.00.

(quote) we do not work with metal frames without screws. I've given them the go-ahead to just pop out the lens as the frame is designed for, but that's not even open for discussion. The same has been done through brick-n-mortar shops; where's the risk if the customer has given the green light? The more frustrating part is the refusal to even have a conversation about what can be done for a win-win. This cannot be a company I can recommend for business.

I get it. LD has been fine for a lot of folks. When things start to go south though, it's a terrible company. It took nearly a month for me to received frames/lens from the time they received my order. They kept up with BS about "sorry" and "free shipping," but the truth is that they couldn't have cared less. When I did receive my frames back, they were bent. Again, terrible service. Never again.

They have sent me 25 plus emails. They have no idea what they are doing. They do not answer questions, listen to what I have to say. Tonight I am getting call from someone called Sean. It's 9:30 at night. He has called from a blocked number 8 times at least. I have tried everything I can to stop the calls and the text messages. He claims to be a supervisor. I have been told Supervisors do not work on weekends. Lies, lies, lies.......... I told him I wanted the home office phone number. He refused. Kept calling and texting. Something is terribly wrong with this company. I would run run run

This is the most unprofessional company I ever run into. I ordered a pair of lenses in August 2022. They shipped the right lenses THREE months later, and NEVER shipped the left lenses. They kept me waiting until I ended up canceling the rest of my order because I got my lenses from another provider. Horrible experience. A total waste of my time and a gamble with my healthcare.

I recently ordered a set of replacement lenses for my Maui Jim sun glasses. The lenses delivered were too small for the frames. I contacted lens direct for instructions on returning the lenses and was told by a Mr Oneil that they do not accept returns of the lens. I informed him that their web site clearly states they do accept returns within 30 days but to no avail. I strongly suggest you research their archaic return policy before buying anything from this company.

I ordered my lenses on 12/23/22 it is 2/4/23 still do not have my glasses back. I have called many many times a lot of excuses did not make any sense. I sent two pairs of glasses my wifes came back in 14 days. I marked the pupils on both glasses for some reason I could mark hers but not mine they called me a couple of weeks ago gave them a measurement of 60.9 she said ok we will make it 61 they lost my information. I told them it was filled out on line , then they found it and every time I called my glasses were being finished so I was told. I ordered replacement lenses online for my original eyeglass frames. My frame was broken when the lenses I ordered arrived. Exactly, the right hinge part was broken. So I contacted the customer center, and they said they would refund the price of the lens I ordered without compensation for my frame. Obviously, even though my frame was broken due to their fault, their compensation policy only compensates for the lenses I ordered. Beware of those looking to order lenses through this company. They don't want to take responsibility for their mistakes.

I am still waiting for a USPS return label to return the wrong frame/lens sent back to me as part of Order #913342009. This was a replacement lens order for two EasyTwist CT140 semi-rimless frames. However, I received only one completed EasyTwist CT140 frame/lens. The second box contained a black plastic frame with dirty/smudged generic lenses. The second EasyTwist CT140 frame/lens was not returned. The frames I sent for lens replacement were clearly documented in the original online order. Communication with LensDirect.com has now gone DARK and I am questioning the credibilty of this company.

I sent my eyeglasses frame for lens replacement. When I received my order, the frame sent to me was not mine. The frame I sent was Versace VE3186, square shape in almost new condition as it was hardly used (writings on the temples were apparent). The frame I received, while it was also Versace with the same color, was different in shape and old (the writings on the temples were faded). Additionally, the old lenses that they sent to me were not mine (different prescription and were not transition lenses, mine were transition). I sent my glasses in over 3 weeks ago. 10 days ago they finally mentioned they had received my glasses and begun working on them. 10 days later, they still haven't been sent back to me. I paid $90 for some basic replacement lenses. Extremely slow service. Disappointed and will not be using them again.
