Google Cloud Platform is a suite of cloud computing services provided by Google, the technology company founded in 1998 and based out of Mountain View, California. Google Cloud was created in 2008 and offers a series of modular cloud services including data storage. Through the cloud platform, Google provides infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as as service (PaaS) and serverless computing environments, as well as AI-integrated products.

Services and Features

Google Cloud Platform provides IaaS solutions through a straightforward graphical user interface (GUI) that makes it easy to set up without complicated command-line interface (CLI) imputs. This allows users to deploy applications developed with Java, PHP, Node.js, Python, .Net, Ruby and Go programming languages in an easy-to-use fashion, as well as running Windows and Linux virtual machines through its Compute Engine.

Pricing

You can create a free account to evaluate how Google Cloud products perform in real-world scenarios. Consumers Advocate readers get $300 plus an extra $50 in free credits to run, test, and deploy workloads, including Google-recommended, pre-built solutions. All customers can use 20+ products for free, up to monthly usage limits.

Reputation

Google is one of the best known companies in the world whose reputation for making reliable, integrated systems is close to unmatched. The company's approach to cloud computing services rings true of its approach to other platforms such as Gmail, Chrome and Android.
