Xfinity Mobile service is available to customers who also subscribe to Xfinity internet service. It offers wireless coverage to 98% of Americans by leasing towers from Verizon. Xfinity customers can access one of the lowest-cost unlimited data plans available. The company also offers by-the-gig data plans to suit all types of cell phone users. Xfinity is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Performance

Xfinity Mobile doesn't operate any of its cell towers. Instead, it leases tower space from Verizon so the company is able to offer nationwide 5G cell phone service to its customers. According to J.D.Power, Verizon has the most reliable 5G cell phone network in the United States.  5G service is included in all of Xfinity's mobile plans at no extra charge. Xfinity also operates millions of secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots around the country to keep customers connected wherever they may be.

Like other cellular service companies, Xfinity Mobile doesn't guarantee 5G speeds 100% of the time. Some rural areas may routinely deliver slower speeds. You can check to see if your location has access to 5G by entering your zip code on Xfinity Mobile's website. You may also experience reduced speeds during times of high network traffic. In addition, you will not receive 5G speeds after your premium data usage exceeds 20 GB for the billing cycle. 

Price

Users pay no activation fee to get started with Xfinity Mobile. The service offers two types of plans: by-the-gig and unlimited. Its Unlimited plan costs $45 per month for a single line,  but the price per line is lower if you connect multiple lines to your account. For example, if you connect four lines through your plan, you'll pay just $40 per month per line for a total cost of $120. That's a very favorable deal for families. If you bundle your cell service with Xfinity TV or home phone service, you may enjoy additional savings. The company offer periodic promotions that can lower the cost of multiple services, too.  

Those who don't use as much data will appreciate Xfinity Mobile's by-the-gig plans which enable you to pay for 1 GB of data for $15 per month, 3 GB for $30 per month, or 10 GB for $60 per month. Xfinity Mobile gives households a great deal of flexibility by allowing customers to mix and match plans by assigning varying amounts of data to each line connected to a single account. You can even assign one line to an unlimited plan and another to a by-the-gig plan. This makes it a great choice for households whose individual members may require more or less data throughout a billing cycle. If at any time during the month you realize you need to adjust your data plan, you may do so at no additional charge.

There's one other nice feature of Xfinity Mobile plans that we should point out. Xfinity is one of the few companies offering high-performance cellular service without requiring a long-term contract. This gives customers the opportunity to take the service out for a test drive before making a major financial commitment and risking high cancellation fees.

Customer service and their account management is atrocious!!!! Seemed like a good deal when I was a single lady needing both mobile service and home internet. However, one I moved in with my now husband, the troubles with Xfinity began. I canceled my home internet as I moved in with my husband and he already had Xfinity home internet. I tried to link my mobile account to his so that I would still have the reduced mobile account rate, but while they managed to link our names together, I never got the reduced rate. Due to poor customer service, the cost, and poor reception, I am switching to another carrier. The issue is my iphone is locked and only Xfinity can unlock the phone. It has been 5 days since I requested the unlock and they have yet to do what they promised. The Xfinity website states that your phone will be unlocked within 48 hours of paying the phone off. I have called and called with little action taken by Xfinity. I will never use Xfinity for anything again. I have changed my cable provider, my internet provider, and finally my cell phone provider. xfinity, does not do what they agreed to do, offering free phone with $15 service and never delivering on their promise then want to change for the phone when they did not transfer the number. this is terrible service, xfinity phone is the worst. Then tell customers to take phone to fedex and pay $35 to return it! zero (0) rating, no one should ever be caught in this lie. BIGGEST RIP-OFF! HELLO AUTHORITIES HELP US AGAINST XFINITY!!!!!

Terrible! phone service is decent n big cities and connected to wifi, but outside of big city lose the connection that other providers have. The customer service is tough to get in touch with and when you do they pretty much don't really solve any problem. They claim an issue will be resolved in a day or two or an hour and it is not.

BIGGEST RIPOFF IN THE LAND! Cancelled my service in March and they are still drawing out payments in May! Calls to Customer Service, Technical Support, and Supervisors results in “This is the last word on the matter.” They will find a way to steal your money!😡😡😡😡😡😡

While the prices and coverage have been far superior to Verizon, the customer service is an absolute nightmare. I had an established account with my phone as well as my son's phone and my daughter's phone. It only made sense to switch my husband over from Verizon. He needed a new phone so we placed an order for an iPhone 13. the device was shipped out via FedEx with a signature requirement. I could not be more DISsatisfied with this company. They sent me sim cards for my five lines. I was going to switch over. I could not get them to work. They were unable to help me get them to work. They, however had no problem at all billing me...month after month. I called them four times with each conversation lasting about an hour. xfinity mobile has good support agents but they really can't help in any area of services. i have been trying to remove myself from the account and switch it to my lady. we sent in paperwork of official legal authorization for this,we recieved the approval and still till this day everything is still not right. i'm going to send back my phone and go back to my old carrier i cant take this any longer.its sooooo fustrating!!

There are many gory details to the support nightmare I entered when I moved my iPhones from one bar of Verizon to Xfinity Mobile, which also provided only one bar of service. Their polite but totally uninformed 'support' agents were enormous time-wasters. Xfinity does not have actual technical support - their agents have to start chat sessions with Verizon technical support, a process slow and prone to error. I was lied to by their sales agent, who assured me that Xfinity Mobile "used all providers towers", which it does not. This is a horrible company. I have been with them for many years and bought a new iPhone through their store to upgrade my Gallaxy S9. I was in the store to upgrade. I left after paying $124. My upgrade was on April 7, 2021. In December of 2022 I needed to put in a claim for my phone and was told that my phone was not covered un the plan that I had been paying. They can not give me a straight answer as to why my coverage wasn't changed to my new phone. I would put in a claim for my old phone, however, I will be out another $100 to place a claim. After less than 12 months I decided to ditch Xfinity mobile for another carrier. The service Xfinity provided was poor to start with, but when I interacted with their customer service, that was the icing on the cake that I was doing the right thing and switching. I spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone with their customer service to get an unlock PIN. I was transferred 5 times to different people and never got a straight answer from anyone towards answering my question. I ended up going to a local store and made a scene there, and........... got an answer. Avoid Xfinity if you ever need to interact with their customer service.

I switched from Verizon to Xfinity Mobile about a year ago. I brought my own phone. As my phone started to stop working I wanted to upgrade it and ordered a phone online. The phone was not delivered to my address. Xfinity Mobile refused to work with FedEx, their carrier of choice, to track the package. They insist it was delivered to me, but refused to provide the full tracking report with the address and signature of the receiver. WARNING. Think twice before switching. My husband and already have Xfinity Cable so we thought we would switch out mobile service to get the bundle discount. We had AT&T forever but Xfinity had a good price on unlimited data for two people. We have had issues in the past with Xfinity cable billing and should have known better. I returned a phone without ever using it but be very careful, before you return it you have to activate it. I returned it on 8/22 and it was signed for on 8/24 I continued to get emails saying they had not received it but i got a Proof of delivery, when I called, I got the run around and the online assistant is even worse, as 1 writer noted it doesn't allow you to take out you credit card information for auto pay. Do NOT use Xfinity Mobile overseas. We recently went to Europe and signed up for their foreign plan at $10/day. I called their office to be sure that it was set up correctly. We got to our first stop and there was no coverage, so I called again - TWICE - each time doing exactly what they said to do, and there was still no coverage. Our traveling companions using another company had no problems at all. When we got home, we discovered that they had charged us $800 in international roaming fees, while we got ZERO service. DO NOT USE XFINITY MOBILE!!!!! Their customer service is VERY BAD! I have been trying to have my phone unlocked for over 2 weeks and not only have they not unlocked the phone! They changed my phone number without my knowledge or permission! I purchased a phone from Xfinity Store. I returned the phone to the Xfinity Store. I got an email acknowledging the return and a separate email stating they would refund the down payment and sales tax ($92.68). Not only are they now refusing to refund the $92.68, they now say they never got the phone and they are going to charge my credit card an additional $706.47. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Xfinity - Comcast, are pickpockets. They promise a single "Total" price for services, such as $45 per month TOTAL for unlimited mobile, and then hide the fact that they also charge a "line access fee" - $25 a month in addition for this fee. It is a scam, it is wrong - which is why they hide it from prospective customers. Once you're in - they will keep billing you. I had Internet bundle with cable and home phone in addition to Mobile. SCAM….SCAM…SCAM DO NOT USE XFINITY MOBILE. I spoke with customer service and CONSIDERED changing service from Verizon. Xfinity mobile then sent me a SIM card to activate my phone and was told that I will NOT be charged until I call and activate my phone with them. I noticed I was being charged and called Xfinity to complain of the charges, only to be put on hold then disconnected, tried this again after a few weeks when I saw my account STILL being charged. Xfinity is a crooked company. I have a $30 monthly plan and travelled overeas for three weeks during which period I MANUALLY TURNED OFF MOBILE DATA AND ROAMING ON MY PHONE. Stay away from anything Comcast. I believe their poor service is part of their business model. They base their customer service out of the country and staff using local people whose english skills could best be described as beginner. In my case I have no problems with the network. My troubles started when I purchased two phones on promotion for half the normal price.
