BLU Joy is a simple, no-frills cell phone with the basic features one could want in a senior phone - a large, easily visible keypad, an SOS button, and easy operation. It has an FM radio, an MP3/MP4 player, and a built-in flashlight. It's also one of the cheapest options on the market with a price that ranges between $19.99 and $27.99. However, its viability as a long-term device is questionable. Reviews as to its quality are mixed to negative, with many customers claiming the phone stopped working early on and that, because it didn't come with a manual, several features were hard to figure out. Customers also claimed the phone did not include a SIM card and that SIM card installation was difficult. Its biggest shortcoming is its lack of compatibility with 3G networks. Most companies are phasing out 2G, leaving BLU Joy users with limited options as to carriers. I ORDERED IT THINKING IT WAS A TRACFONE AND I COULD BUY 60 MINUTES. I AGREE WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS CAME WITH THE PHONE. WHEN I LOOKED ONLINE, IT WAS ALWAYS SAYING ABOUT HOW YOU COULD GET TUNES ON IT. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT, I JUST WANT IT IN CASE I HAVE AN EMERGENCY WITH MY CAR ETC. THIS IS THE FIRST PHONE I BOUGHT WITH NO SIM CARD IN IT AND HOW DO I KNOW WHAT KIND TO GET NOW??? DO I NEED TWO OR WILL IT WORK WITH ONE??? I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED
