They sold me a business insurance policy and then a month later cancelled it with no phone call, no email. I received a letter in the mail stating that they decided that they no longer wanted to cover my type of business. In 20 years I have never had a single claim or complaint. So I had to go out and get a new policy with someone else and resend the proof of policy to all of my clients. These people are a complete waste of time.

Did not cancel policy and overcharged me from 2019-2021 to the tune of $980. Do not use their auto debit plan. When confronted, they cut a check and sent it to the wrong address. They did not send it to the address I gave them. It took five calls and a call to corporate to find out the check in the mail was going to the wrong state and a vacant house. BUCK is the one I dealt with and he said they would have to issue a new check and send it again by overnight mail. No apologies. No we will overnight it, given you have been waiting a full month and we grossly overcharged you. What can I say? This is not how you do business.

This company by far is the worst company for business coverage. Hiscox took me as a client for my home inspection business. I have been doing home inspections since 2006. Never had an issue or a claim. I had a client that felt I missed something and wanted me to file a claim with my insurance. So I went ahead and filed the claim even though I didn't feel I was at fault. I find out that Hiscox doesn't cover home inspection real estate transactions. Interesting to know when 100% of my transactions are real estate transactions. Since my claim and me complaining about the coverage, Hiscox has now changed their coverage to "code inspections". This company is a joke.

Started out 5 stars for me - thorough, friendly, easy, helpful. But, that all changed - policy cancellation letters with no explanation and no attempt to contact me to discuss reason and provide possible solutions.; no claims ever filed, no credit issues, etc. Just a cancellation. Does not leave a positive impression at all. We'll see what they say. So in the interim, dropping my favorability to 2 stars.

Terrible experience with this company's business insurance side. It seems you get randomly tossed to just any available agent regardless of the person having zero experience in your area. This leads to agents giving conflicting information. One agent actually told me the only types of business insurance are E&O and General. This is wrong and just plain silly. Even if you get an agent who seems to have the tiniest bit of knowledge, it seems they only care about filling out their precious form at the expense of everything else.
