Blinds.com is the largest online retailer of window coverings in the world. Founded in 1996 in Houston, TX, the company has expanded its product lines to include drapes, skylights and arches. Blinds.com offers a particularly easy ordering process with their product configurator, which enables customers to customize blinds and shades online. The company also gets points for its 100% satisfaction guarantee and its SureFit program, where they will replace the blind free of charge (and will pay for shipping) if the blind doesn't fit, even if it's due to a customer's mistake in measuring. Additionally, they provide a pretty comprehensive 3-year warranty on all its products. As to the drawbacks, customer accounts of their experience with Blinds.com is mixed. There are more than 60 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau, claiming mixups in orders, poor quality products, and misinformation from customer service. However, given the size of the business, this number of complaints remains on the low side. First, the plantation shutters I ordered are beautiful and came so carefully packaged. However, when we installed them, not only were there no directions in the packaging, but the online instructions were pretty darn skimpy. We had to guess at some of the steps. Then, once installed, the right hand side of each set would not close properly. On the larger, 7 x 4 foot window, I actually have to lift the right side about ¼ to ½ inch in order to "force it" over the window sill so it will shut properly. It's very tight and feels as if it will break if I do this too many times. Since I do want to open and close the window for ventilation, this is a huge problem. When I called the help... Read More

This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. After spending thousands of dollars on blinds for my sunroom and house, the product was never delivered. I called many times and was told the blinds were at a freight company called Estes and "Blinds.com can't do anything to help... you have to call the freight company". We called the freight company many times and they never called back. When we finally did get ahold of them, they indicated that they didn't have our phone number or any way to contact us...?! THEN, they indicated that they wouldn't be delivering to our area for another 14 days. It's been 31 days and we STILL don't have our product and Blinds.com will not... Read More

Terri Wallace in is the best salesman that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and makes sure that you have exactly what you want. He helped me with all the windows in my house. I am thrilled with the results. I spoke to a wonderful manager named Collin and believe me, these guys put customer satisfaction at the top of their list. I highly recommend these guys and this company. You will not be disappointed. They have great promotions around the holidays and the prices are way better than I can elsewhere. Plus their measurement and installation guys are really nice and knowledgeable as well. I live in Katy Tx which is close to Houston Texas/

I waited 3 weeks for an appointment just to get blinds measured. When the day came, I waited and no one ever showed up. No one ever called to apologize for wasting my time and not showing up. I am now waiting for a refund for the fee that I paid upfront for someone to show up.

I made an order for a shutter and when it arrived. I did not like the way it supported. Cafe hieghts are only supported by 2 sides. I put my request into have it re-done (with in 30 days) and needed time to think over the options. Granted I did not get back with is the 30 days (took me 3 weeks extra) but they said I could no longer get the use the remake guarantee. This was after a previous order I spent thousands of dollars on blinds from them.

If I could give zero stars I would. I placed order on Dec 22nd and site said order WILL be shipped in 5 business days. 18 days later they still have not been shipped, and after speaking to their representatives I can’t get any help. DON’T BUY FROM BLINDS.COM
