Blinds.com is the largest online retailer of window coverings in the world. Founded in 1996 in Houston, TX, the company has expanded its product lines to include drapes, skylights and arches. The company also gets points for its 100% satisfaction guarantee and its SureFit program, where they will replace the blind free of charge (and will pay for shipping) if the blind doesn't fit, even if it's due to a customer's mistake in measuring. Additionally, they provide a pretty comprehensive 3-year warranty on all its products. As to the drawbacks, customer accounts of their experience with Blinds.com is mixed. There are more than 60 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau, claiming mixups in orders, poor quality products, and misinformation from customer service. However, given the size of the business, this number of complaints remains on the low side. I did not participate in choosing the Faux Wood Blinds, but the SHODDY product, the terrible customer service & NO follow thru would prevent me from every recommending Blinds.com or using them again. We have blinds in our office that require raising and lowering (can't on the door as it flies off and hits everybody) and no longer on the windows - just open and close. The header/brace in frame bent out of shape as did the plastic clips holding together. After initial response from customer service requesting pictures and i just asked for plastic clips and ONE header that was bent and just pulls out bonking everybody on the head - to be replaced. would Cost NOTHING. never heard from... This company and my order have been a complete joke. The communication and customer service is also a joke, when you have to wait forever for someone to answer or call you back. I placed an order on January 20th, they charged my credit card on January 20th, said it would take 10 to 14 days to manufacture. Received an email on February 4th saying the order was shipped, still have not received it or had any communication with the company or the shipper. Tried to call to find out info, could not get a hold of anyone. Checked the status of my order at their web, said the order is still being made. The blinds were great...look great, fit great, not too difficult to install. We did have 3 issues. First, when we ordered it said they would be delivered Dec 17-21. They did not arrive until December 30. That’s a big difference from Dec 17-21! Second, they were delivered to a random house 3 miles from my home. The only reason I received them, is because the nice home owner that got my blinds, found my name and phone number on the box and called me to inform me they were delivered to his house. I received 2 Levalor faux wood blinds, and one of the middle brackets needed for installation for one of them, was totally bent out of shape and not usable. I called Levalor right away (thinking they had made them, they could send me a new one), they said I had to call Blinds.com. I then called Blinds.com and they had to request one from the manufacturer, and the whole process would be 7-10 business days. I requested expedited shipping and she said she could not guarantee it, although she would ask for it. I find this third party customer service too slow in solving a very simple problem. I ordered plantation shutters for my entire home, two separate orders, in September. There is no update on the order status online says its in production. After numerous calls I was given a tracking number on one order the other I was told would be shipped out the following week. I have received my first order. I still have no information on the second order. Every time I call they have to call the supplier in Mexico and they never answer. I am told give them 24-48 hours to get back to them and they will email. This not happened. I received today a fedex package with the frame for 1 blind. **Fulfillment center must be a complete mess -> Do yourself a favor and go with a different company** I ordered 4 simple blinds. Wait 2 months. The first delivery was someone else's order completely. They promised to resend. Wait 2 more months. They send 3 of the blinds I ordered and another of someone else's order. It is difficult to get ahold of their Customer Service and their fulfillment center must be a complete mess. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company.

I order $2000 worth of blinds. One of the simplest roller shades broke at the first pull down. Blinds.com replaced. We received the replacement and on the first pull it broke. At this point I wanted a refund. They said no. They will troubleshoot which we already did but we were out of luck. They admitted that it was probably a manufacturing defect but it was not. They simply told us to pound sand. Most of the products were nice and we are completely satisfied but the customer service when something went wrong was less than satisfactory.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Their "timelines" should be called fantasy time as they are nowhere near correct. It takes over a month for a couple sets of blinds? They give you the line that the plant in Dallas is shit down and now producing blinds in China and are "being made now" and will have them to you in a week. Nothing from China comes faster than 2 weeks by regular mail. Do not waste your time. The price may be good, but if you need the blinds in less than a month go elsewhere. A complete waste of my time and should have a disclaimer on their website about month + wait times instead of continuing to lie to customers about having them in 2 weeks.
