Latest BeenVerified Reviews
BeenVerified does a poor job of uncovering correct data. The report I had printed could not even find a record of education, any employment, or any relatives. It gave horoscope information and a specific tweet-who needs that in a background check? What a waste of money! The only reason they even got 1 star is because I couldn't leave zero stars.
BeenVerified is not classified as a consumer reporting agency by the FCRA. This means there are certain stipulations those using its services must abide by. BeenVerified's services cannot be used by potential employers or landlords to make decisions. The company is very upfront about this and offers detailed instructions on what their services can and cannot be used for.
We can't wholeheartedly recommend BeenVerified, due to its less-than-stellar reputation among consumers. BeenVerified has a B rating with the Better Business Bureau. However, the company has been the subject of a lot of customer complaints on that website, too. In addition, the company earns just 1.8 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot. To its credit, BeenVerified usually responds to complaints and sometimes provides customers with explanations and avenues for resolution. That isn't necessarily the norm in the online background check marketplace. However, some responses are stock answers and apologies for giving customers an experience that didn't meet their expectations.
