NuWave is an American manufacturer of air purifiers based in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The company manufactures the OxyPure air purifier and sells it to residents in all 50 states.

Functionality

The OxyPure air purifier is quite powerful and can clean the air in spaces as large as 1,200 square feet. That's larger than most apartments and even some small homes. Yet it maintains a relatively small footprint, and is suitable for smaller, spaces as well.

The unit is Energy Star rated, which means it is energy-efficient and using it routinely won't raise your electric bill too much. This is important as some air purifiers can have high ongoing costs. This isn't the case with the OxyPure air purifier, though.

You can turn the air purifier on and off on the unit itself, but for added convenience, it includes a mobile app so you can monitor your home's air quality and adjust the air purifiers settings as needed from the comfort of your own home.

Filtration and CADR ratings

The OxyPure air purifier employs a five-stage filtration system that begins with a stainless steel prefilter and includes a combination HEPA/carbon filter and an ozone emission removal filter. Its BioGuard Filter uses Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) to capture and remove 100% of particle pollutants as small as 0.09 microns. The combined filters of the unit can remove over 99.96% of viruses and 99.99% of bacteria within two hours of detection. It scored well in an independent lab test with CADR ratings of 332, 346 and 369 for smoke, dust and pollen, respectively. The unit has also been certified by the California Air Review Board.

While it's plugged in, the OxyPure monitors your air quality continousuly. When it detects poor air quality, it will automatically kick on and run until the air quality improves. Then, it will automatically shut off. You can also manually turn it on and off as needed, but its auto-run feature is both convenient and energy-conserving. It also takes the guesswork out of using the system.

Ordered it 3 days ago, received an order confirmation with an order number. Today, received shipping confirmation and tracking information email -- HOWEVER, 1. email referred to a different order number, unknown to me, 2. the tracking number provided responds with a "Delivered on December 19, 2020"!! I called them and was 47 minutes on the phone listening to wait music and occasionally "your call is important to us, please continue to wait for available rep." Then a machine message asked me to leave my message and they would return my call. Three hours have passed and nothing yet. This along with the No response below is making me reconsider my purchase.

The comment from Anthony 11/10/2020. No VIP customer support would respond to his email or answer their phone is a Red flag for me. If this issue has been resolved in Anthony's is satisfied. Please update, meanwhile I will continue to research for pro and con reviews before I decide to purchase.

Why is there no one there that answers the phone? I have tried for over a week and it just continuously rings for long times with no answer. I know I have waited for 30 minutes to (1) Hour at different times. I just sent an Email - we'll see if that works. I am not sure what to say if this is part of the VIP (1) Year service? I even purchased additional years of VIP Service? Hope some one reaches out to me. Units are not inexpensive and Customer Service is not at all impressive at this point. Had an issue with one of the units, but obviously could not reach any VIP Service or Support, so I did some things on my own and so far, it looks like the issue is fixed? May re-evaluate my poor...
