Blueair is an international air purifier manufacturer with offices in the United States, Sweden, China, Hong Kong, India, and the United Arab Emirates. It has three product lines tailored to different spaces and budgets.

Filtration

Blueair is transparent about all of its products and makes it easy to find the unit that suits your needs and budget. It offers three product lines -- the Blue line, the Classic line, and the Pro line. The Blue units are the most affordable, but they don't filter quite as much as the Classic and Pro models. The Classic models will suit most homes the best as they have higher CADR ratings and come in a wider range of sizes and prices to suit different spaces. For those with large spaces or serious air quality concerns, a Pro model will be the best fit.

The company doesn't enable you to filter your results by CADR ratings, but it's very transparent about its specs and how it works, so you can look all of this up on each product page once you've narrowed down your choices based on cost and room size.

Capacity

Blueair air purifiers range from a maximum of 161 square feet on the low end to 1,180 square feet on the high end. That's a pretty large range, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find one that can accommodate your room, no matter how big it is. The footprints of the unit will also vary depending on how large of a space it's designed to filter. Its smallest unit is only 16 square inches and weighs a light 3.4 pounds. Its largest unit, the Pro XL, still has a surprisingly small footprint at 20 x 10 inches, so you don't have to worry about any unit you choose taking up too much space in your home.

Features

Exact air purifier features vary depending on which model you choose, but if you're interested in bells and whistles, you can find them with Blueair. It offers models with remotes and Alexa compatibility as well as child lock controls and adjustable scheduling. All units have three speeds and wheels if the units are large and heavy. They also come with lights that let you know when filters need replacing, which can keep your unit functioning at an optimal level. You can filter Blueair's air purifiers by some of these features, but you'll have to visit the product page for a complete list.

Cost

Given its wide range of air purifier sizes, it's no surprise that Blueair also offers a wide range in prices, starting at about $120 and going as high as $2,500. Most units fall in the $300 to $900 range, which is pretty typical for a residential air purifier. Each unit comes with guidance about how often its filters need replacing, with the average being about six months. You can purchase replacement filters on Blueair's website. The cost of the replacement filters varies in relation to the cost of the unit itself with the most affordable being around $8 and the most expensive around $110.
