Petsecure Canada Pet Insurance review
I have been with Petsecure for over 15years … I just wish that they took me being away in hospital and then in another hospital in another city seriously as I was put through Status Epilepticus then a Coma unknown time, in 2014. Yet This seriousness was taken lightly by the Insurance because I live with Epilepsy. Too many people around me are taking advantage of my living with disabilities as is. I’d hope the insurance company that my Veterinarian since I was a kid recommended would not as I was supposed to be lucky enough to on the list fora Seizure Response Dog for exactly that. My Epilepsy. People stole my mail and used for their own. If I can rescue a kitten and or Cat before Samhain, if I’m safe and somewhere safer as I was decades ago, where you look out your window and see trees…. That’s just a dream now it wasn’t when I was growing up.

Pets Plus Us Canada Pet Insurance review
Not the best company actually. I was very happy with Pet Secure for many years but they cover only ONE health condition per year. Big problem! Now I am with Pets Plus Us , big deductibles for old dogs, annual increase in premiums (they claim because of the inflation), and you have to check how they calculate every claim return.

Petsecure Canada Pet Insurance review
PetSecure has been awesome to deal with. They are very personable and helpful in giving a quote, setting up a policy, and answering questions you may have. This was my first time getting pet insurance for my cat and I'm very glad I did. The vet submits your claims so that is very easy they just need your signature, you get an email when a claim has been received and it is quickly processed and direct deposited in your account. You can access your client portal anytime for information regarding claims or anything else. The premiums are great and set up as pre-authorized debits so they come out of your account each month. Unfortunately, I recently lost my service feline Mitzy traumatically and they were so quick in cancelling my policy so that I got a refund on that months premium and her final claims were processed quickly so I had the money in my account very quickly. I got a sympathy letter explaining they cancelled my policy and then a card from them. The card was absolutely beautiful and in memory of my Mitzy they will make donation to an animal charity in Canada. They make an annual donation at the end of the year for any pets that have passed away that year who were their clients. I think that is amazing. I would definitely recommend them!!!

Pets Plus Us Canada Pet Insurance review
My experience with Pets Plus Us has been nothing but Positive. I have two Bernese Mountain Dogs and have had to use the insurance several times in the past few years. Customer service has always been excellent and they are quick to reimburse me. I think they are an excellent company. Also received a premium discount for being a Costco member. I highly recommend them.

Pets Plus Us Canada Pet Insurance review
I'd like to share my very disappointing experience with Pets plus us! I am a new client with 2 pups that are healthy. I happened to take my youngest pup to the vet as he was more stubborn to potty training and thought perhaps he might have a bladder infection that might be contributing to his pee accidents. So after the vet examination, extraction of urine as he was so tiny, 5 lbs.,there was nothing wrong with him outside of being a stubborn , tiny chihuahua mix and would take more time being house trained! The vet said there was no urinary infection or anything wrong with him. But apparently simple because I was a concerned , proactive pet owner, and despite the fact that there was no previous condition or treatment, their underwriter put a 12 mos rider against my pet based on the fact that I had simply taken him in to the vet to make sure there was not a potential infection that could be contrubuting to his slow house training. I was penalized for this on my policy, despite the fact the vet had stated there was nothing wrong with him and my dog has never been treated for any urinary issue in his life! How does a company ethically put a rider against a condition that the pup never had and was never treated for!!! Simple because I was making sure he was healthy and ok!! Dispite asking for any logical reason the underwriter refused to take the 12 mos exclusion off my policy for a condition my dog never had, and had never been treated for!! How does this make any sense! So after having to speak to a supervisor twice over, the condition that was none existent has now been reduced to a 6 mos exclusion that was not preexisting prior to insurance policy, nor was he ever treated for any urinary issue! I totally understand had my dog been treated for a condition prior to the policy. But he didn't!! So how is that fair and just!

Petsecure has been amazing to deal with , its been almost 2 years and not once have we had an issue - claims are processed quickly and painless-I have a gentle giant that doesn't know his own strength that has needed a few stitches as well as a pretty serious CCL surgery and pet secure has not let me or my fur baby down! thank you! I have only had to call in once about a couple questions and it was the best customer service, so I am one very happy customer!

Petsecure Canada Pet Insurance review
Pet secure is reasonable and fair & seems superior to the rest. Your TOTAL YEARLY DEDUCTIBLE is $100 for 'secure 3' or $250 for 'secure 4'. I went with secure 4 because my yearly preventative care is $613.07 (Breakdown- exam $78.90, vaccines $41.10, bordetella $33.10, blood test $67.70, flea & Tick 170.10, heart worm 110.04, fecal $41.60 = $542.54 (Total) + $70.53 (tax) = $613.07). With secure 4, you also get $600 in dental preventative care. Secure 4 (with tax) $123.78 x 12 = $1,485.36 ($1,735.36 with $250 yearly deductible) or Secure 3 $85.62 x 12 = $1,027.44 ($1,127.44 with $100 yearly deductible). I end up spending $1,213.07 on preventative each year. After the $1,735.36, I'm left with about $41.67/month for full coverage of any other issues. You pay up front for treatments and they deposit the money within 15 day into your account. If there is a catastrophic event, they will pay the vet directly. The customer service folks seem great. I recommend them highly! BTW, it is a monthly commitment and you can quit anytime without penalty. I wish I had gotten it before our dog fractured 2 teeth and platelets dropped significantly costing over $2k :-(( "Live & learn!"

Pets Plus Us Canada Pet Insurance review
Pets Plus Us had been fantastic so far. My dog had a $5500 knee surgery at the specialist and the problem arose a few weeks after signing up, they are covering 90% of the surgery as that's the plan I signed up for. They also cover 90% of the physiotherapy and rehabilitation she will be needing. They never increase my monthly rates and won't increase my deductible until she is 5 years of age. So far absolutely recommend the company.
